The GATE 2025 admit card for admission to the MTech course will be available for download from Jan 7, 2025. Additionally, the GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam for IIT Patna admission to BE/BTech courses is scheduled to be held between Jan 22 and Jan 29, 2025. For BArch and BPlan courses, the exam is to be conducted on Jan 30, 2025.
- The JEE Advanced 2025 exam date has been announced for the BTech course. As per the official website, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025. Further, the application form will be released in Apr 2025.
- The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course has closed now. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on Feb 2, 2025.

IIT Patna Admission Process 2025
liIIT Patna admission is completely an online process. For admission to its flagship course, i.e., BTech, the institute accepts JEE Advanced scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. Students are also required to qualify JEE Main exam before appearing for JEE Advanced. In addition to its flagship course, IIT Patna offers BS, MSc, MTech and PhD courses to the students at UG, PG and doctoral levels. While admission to MTech and MSc is subject to GATE and IIT JAM, respectively, the admission process for BS is subject to a valid score in JEE Main, JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling.

The admission cycle for BTech programmes generally commences in December with JEE Main registrations. IIT Patna has a multi-step admission process which students need to follow to get into the institute. Beginning with the application, interested candidates are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam followed by other selection rounds (if applicable). Yes, it is possible to join IIT Patna wihout JEE Advanced for courses other than BTech. For BTech programme JEE Advanced with JEE Mains is necessary. IIT Patna MTech Admission 2025
IIT Patna MTech is offered across more than ten specialisations. The PG-level course lasts for two years and has a total of four semesters. Artificial Intelligence,Power and Control, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc., are some of the MTech specialisations offered at IIT Patna. The MTech curriculum includes project/thesis work which is carried out in two stages, each spread over a semester.
Candidates who wish to apply to the MTech programme must have a valid GATE score. Students are screened based on their CGPI in BE/BTech and GATE scores during COAP counselling.
