CBSE Results 2020: Latest update on CBSE 10th & 12th Compartment Exam

CBSE 10th and 12th students waiting to appear for CBSE Compartment Exam 2020 read further to know details. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released CBSE 10^th Results 2020 and CBSE 12^th Results 2020 on July 15 and July 13 respectively. According to the result stats, despite good overall pass percentages, CBSE Results 2020 witnessed thousands of students falling in the compartment category. While announcing the cancellation of the pending CBSE 10^th Board Exams 2020 and CBSE 12^th Board Exams 2020, CBSE assured that it will be conducting optional exams for Class 12 students who would like to appear for the cancelled exams to improve their scores. Also, the conduct of the compartment exams for both Class 10 and Class 12 is expected. However, the lack of clarity over the details regarding the CBSE 10^th compartment exam and CBSE 12^th compartment exam has become a cause of concerns for the schools.

Talking to a reputed source, Indore Sahodaya School Complex chairman UK Jha stated, “The Board has stated that compartment exam would be conducted. But there is no mention of the schedule or any guidelines related to the exam. Many schools have been asking us about it.”

Schools are also concerned about the students who opted for basic mathematics in CBSE Class 10 but want to shift to standard mathematics. Mr Jha added, “Those students, who have changed their minds and have decided to opt for mathematics in Class 11 to clear the separate exam of standard mathematics. Schools have also been waiting to know about it.”

Meanwhile, CBSE after declaring the CBSE 10^th Results 2020 and CBSE 12^th Results 2020, published an official notice about the compartment exam stating, “The dates of the conduct of the examination will be informed soon in consultation with Government of India.”
