The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to resume the free of cost tele-counseling service for CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th students as a follow-up of its recent announcement of conducting remaining CBSE Class 10 Board Exams 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2020. The Board will be conducting the remaining papers for CBSE 12th and Class 10th (for northeast Delhi) students from July 1 to July 15. According to the official notification released by the Board, the CBSE tele-counseling services will be held from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, seven days a week from June 1 to July 15.

The notification also suggests that the CBSE psychological helpline will have two features: IVRS and Live counseling which will be available on toll-free number 1800-11-8004.
While general queries will be answered by teleoperators, 73 counselors and principals will be available for live psychological counseling in India.

The official statement said, “Although the board will not hold exams in foreign schools, 21 volunteer principals and counselors will however remain available for students outside India at Sultanate Of Oman, Singapore, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Nepal, Kuwait and USA.”
Considering the inherent advantages of accessing prerecorded information anytime, anywhere and even multiple times, the Board will continue to provide the IVRS facility. The students or parents can get information on board exams including tips for better preparation, managing exam anxiety and time, contact details of CBSE offices, FAQs.
The notice further added, “The widespread COVID-19 has severely impacted lives and systems across the world. It has prompted the board to provide help for the mental well-being of students and parents amidst cancellation of exams, disruption of regular schooling and compulsory lockdown.”
It will be for the fourth time this year that CBSE will be providing the counseling facility.
According to the revised CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020, the Board would be conducting CBSE Board Exam 2020 from July 1 to July 15, 2020, in 15000 centers across the country. Earlier the Board decided to conduct the examination in only 3000 centers. The decision is taken to ensure social distancing at exam centers and minimize travel for students. The Board is expected to announce CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 by July-end
Meanwhile, The Human Resource and Development Minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ made an important announcement regarding the upcoming CBSE Board Exams 2020 for classes 10 and 12. The minister took to his official Twitter handle and made an important announcement for the students preparing to appear for the CBSE 10th, CBSE 12th Board Exams but are stranded in other states or districts.
