IIM Bangalore tops among Indian Institutes in QS World University Rankings for Executive MBA 2020

Only two Indian Institutes managed to make it to the global 100. The second Indian Institute that made it among Top 100 is the Indian School of Business (ISB).

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore secures global rank 36 and becomes the best B-School in India according to the QS Global Executive MBA ranking 2020. Only two Indian Institutes managed to make it to the global 100. The second Indian Institute that made it among Top 100 is the Indian School of Business (ISB). However, IIM-Kozhikode missed the position by just one number by securing rank101 with its MBA programme for working executives. On the intentional platform, Wharton Business School remained the top-ranked institute globally with its MBA for executives.

As compared to the last year, IIM-B not only jumped 25 places but is also the only Indian institute in the top 50 globally. The QS EMBA World Rankings 2020 also place IIM Bangalore’s programme in the ninth position in the APAC region. This year, the list of global rankings included141 programmes, while 20 joint programmes are enumerated in a separate list. In the region-wise ranking, three Indian institutes made it to the top 20. While IIM-B was ranked 9. Both IIM-Kozhikode and ISB were in the more than 15 band.

 the reputation of the business school, academics and employers, as well as the demographics of its EMBA cohort, salary uplift post-graduation and other parameters were considered to generate the QS ranking to rank the best EMBA programmes from around the globe.

IIM-B came out to be India’s best, with 86.8 score out of 100, IIM B secured the best score in a career outcome metric.  IIM-B Director Professor G Raghuram, in an official statement said, “It is good to break new ground and put India on the global education map.”
