IIM Bangalore to conduct workshop on Machine Learning; Check details here
The DCAL at IIMB has been set up to support interdisciplinary empirical research using data on primarily Indian as well as other emerging markets.
IIM-Bangalore Machine Learning Workshop: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s Data Centre & Analytics Lab (DCAL) is all set to host workshops on Machine Learning using Julia and Natural Language Processing from July 16 to 18, 2021, from 9:30, am to 1:15 pm. “The machine learning workshop will be a parallel event to DCAL’s Eleventh Symposium on Business Analytics and Intelligence that was conducted by the institute on July 9 and July 10, 2021,” said IIM Bangalore official.
The official further added, “We have not kept any eligibility criteria for the workshop. Machine learning enthusiasts and the ones who are interested in starting their career in this field were invited to join.” The institute closed the registration and payment window for the workshop on July 3, 2021. According to the official notification released by the institute, participants will be provided e-certificates after the successful completion of the event. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the institute will be conducting the workshop via virtual mode.

Meanwhile, IIM-Bangalore also organised a ‘Do Your Venture’ programme recently. According to the reports, over 1000 aspiring women entrepreneurs participated in the programme. IIMB informed, “Out of the 1773 learners in the batch, 852 learners completed the online modules of ‘Do Your Venture,’ setting a new benchmark of a 48 per cent completion rate, where globally most MOOCs have completion rates of less than 10 per cent.”
According to the official notice released by the institute, under this program, NSRCEL and IIMB, shared weekly digests, regular announcements, handouts, and reminder emails to reduce the dropout rates.
