IIM Nagpur Placements 2020: Highest domestic salary package pegged at Rs 40 lakh per annum

The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) has completed its final placement process for the fourth batch of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP 2018-20) students. IIM Nagpur, like previous year, witnessed 100% placements this year. The institute closed the placements two weeks earlier, as compared to last year. The domestic package offered saw a 100% increase from last year as the institute pegged the highest domestic salary package from Rs 20 lakh last year to Rs 40 lakh per annum, this year. The average package was Rs 13.10 lakh, as per an official statement.

The average package offered for the top 5% and 10% of the batch was Rs 28 lakh and Rs 21.60 lakh respectively.

Roles including Strategy, Sales and Marketing, General Management and Operations, followed by analytics and Finance were mostly bagged by the students.
The final IIM Nagpur Placements observed 50 plus recruiters, including many first time participants, to recruit the best talent from the campus. Sectors such as Analytics, FMCD, Consulting, Automobile, Logistics, saw major participation. Companies like Genpact, TVS Motors, Wipro Digital, Kotak Mahindra, HCL Technologies, L&T Realty, FIITJEE, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Deloitte Consulting, etc participated in the recruitment process. More than 79% of the batch was recruited by Consulting, followed by Engineering Services, ITES and BFSI.

Professor LS Murty, Director IIM Nagpur said that this year the recruiters have given a clear message with more pre-placement offers and better package statistics. “This year we saw 36 new recruiters participating in the campus recruitment process,” he said. He further said that the institute plans to move soon into a new campus with increased student intake.
