BSc admission at ABBS is a multi-step process. The first step is to visit the official website of ABBS and register on it. After the registration, applicants must submit an application, upload the necessary documents and submit an application fee. They must also register for the Acharya Bangalore B-School Scholastic Aptitude Test (ABBSSAT). Applicants who perform well in the aptitude test are called for a personal interview. Based on the applicant's performance in the ABBSSAT, the personal interview and their previous academic records, a merit of shortlisted candidates will be prepared and published by ABBS. Selected students must confirm their admission by making an inital deposit towards the ABBS BSc tuition fee due for the first semester.

ABBS typically starts accepting BSc applications in January. However, the admission dates may vary from one year to another. The admission process for BSc is currently ongoing at the B-School. As of now, the last date to submit the applications has not been specified. Candidates seeking an admission should send in their application forms immediately after their board exam results are released. The application forms can be submitted online through the official website of the institute.

Students pursuing a BSc at ABBS are eligible to apply for scholarships under various categories. Each student can apply for only one scholarship. Every scholarship has a unique set of eligibility criteria and scholarship amount. As there is a limited number of allottees for each scholarship, the B-School awards these scholarships on a first come, first served basis. ABBS admission to the BSc courses is subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria specifed by the B-School. To be eligible to pursue a BSc at the institute, a candidate must have scored at least 35% aggregate in Class 12 or Karnataka Pre-University Certificate (PUC) Examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. They must hold the necessary document to prove their eligibility at the time of admission. Additionally, candidates must appear for the Acharya Bangalore B-School Scholastic Aptitude Test (ABBSSAT) conducted by the B-School.

Candidates seeking an admission at ABBS for BSc must undergo the selection process for undergraduate programmes offered at the B-School. The selection process includes an aptitude test and a personal interview. The aptitude test conducted by the B-School is called the Acharya Bangalore B-School Scholastic Aptitude Test (ABBSSAT). The test assess candidates on various parameters including logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, and general awareness. Those who perform well in the ABBSSAT are invited for a personal interview. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the aptitude test, personal interview, and their previous academic record. Hence, candidates cannot get  direct admission at ABBS for BSc.

ABBS also welcomes applicants from any stream to apply for BBA/BMS courses. Applicants must have a 10+2 or PUC equivalent degree from a recognized education board and a minimum aggregate of 40%.

ABBS MBA has been ranked by ranking agencies like Times and Business Today for two consecutive years. In 2022, Times rated ABBS at #34 for MBA. The Times ranking for ABBS showed an improvement as it was #45 in 2021. The B-School was rated at #107 by Business Today in 2022. In 2021, the Business Today ranking for MBA at ABBS was 101.

ABBS is better than the Oxford College of Engineering for MBA programs. ABBS is better for placements, infrastructure, faculty, and events.
