Moderate experience of college.
Placements: Recently, I have been studying, so I don't know about the placement. But I heard that the placement is not that good. People in Computer Science get chances for placements on campus. I don't know about other departments. After all, it's a general degree college, so we can't expect that good of placements at all.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel, but there is a canteen facility where the price of food is very favorable. Momos, burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and french fries are available in the canteen. A gym center is going to open soon, and the sports center is under construction.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and support us whenever we need them. The HOD of our department is a great motivator for students. They are very knowledgeable. Whenever we get stuck in any subject, they are always ready to help us, no matter the time. However, teachers need to improve their teaching skills so that we can learn things more quickly. Maths is not an easy subject, so many students get back in papers, but if they study and follow the teacher carefully, they will pass.
Other: There are not many fests held here. Scholarships are provided. The campus is under construction. The auditorium is ready, and sports facilities and the gym center are still under construction. There are lift facilities for students and teachers. There is also a library (e-books are available too). The location of the college is very good (metro, bus, cars, and everything are available). However, we expect farewell and freshers from our college, but we mostly don’t get them.

Balanced learning experience in AJC.
Placements: Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose College offers limited placements and internships to B.Com students. Companies like TCS and APT visit our college with an average salary package of 2.4 LPA - 3.5 LPA. Internship opportunities are available but are not a significant focus, and many students pursue internships independently.
Infrastructure: We have well-ventilated classrooms suitable for traditional teaching. I would say it has average infrastructure. Labs for science students are decent. There are limited facilities benefiting B.Com students. Wi-Fi is available, but it is very slow. Our college doesn't provide on-campus hostel facilities, but many students rely on private PGs.
Faculty: Our faculty members are experienced and focused on traditional teaching methods, while most professors are approachable and very helpful. Our college follows the guidelines of Calcutta University. The B.Com course includes 6 semesters over 3 years. Exams are conducted twice a year with internal assessments.

Good for fun but if you're serious for studies wouldn't recommend AJC.
Placements: Only a very few students actually got placement from my college, even after they were selected the job role had a target for each month. Motilala offered placements as well. The packages were mostly around 2lac per annum or something. Motilala, time pro, they were a free data analysis course as well from nasscom, etc. Were there. I'm not sure how many people got internship but it was around 20% back then. Tele calling, customer care, vice associate.
Infrastructure: We had a lab for computer practical as I was a B.Com student I don't know much about Science department. We had Library and can borrow books too, our canteen and college is still under construction as for sports they are still preparing the building for it. It will take a few years.
Faculty: The teacher were qualified but they don't care much about students. They don't teach us well and also the exams were not taken very seriously. But the paper is not that difficult and many student pass their exams easily. No the college does not help to develop your soft skills or make you industry ready.

Honest opinion about my college
Placements: There was no placement opportunity in our college. Nobody got a job after completing the course. There was no company recruiting from my course. Nobody got an internship. But a few good students went for a master’s degree at Jadavpur University/Calcutta University.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi connectivity. There are two good labs for physics experiments, well equipped with instruments. Classrooms are good, and the library is also good. The hostel is not that good. Food was available. No medical facilities. There was no space for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers were well qualified and knowledgeable, but they were not helpful at all. Teaching quality is average. You have to prepare the topics on your own. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make one student industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult to pass. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Learning Physics was my passion, that is why I chose that course. Physics is called the father of science. The syllabus and question pattern should be changed. That should be innovative. There are not many opportunities. The college fair is there. The campus is average. There are a few government scholarships as well. There are no extracurricular activities.

Good infrastructure and well maintained college best for in this budget
Placements: Placement session haven't started yet. I am a second year student and according to the college fees structure, the facilities they're providing is quite nice if you are looking for a government college then you can surely go for it. The teachers, staffs and other seniors are all well behaved and supporting.
Infrastructure: There are all the decent facilities available like library, clean and neat classrooms. WiFi computer labs are there for each department, for each and every stream. Subject canteen is also available and game room is also there with air conditioning. We can chill there and spend some quality time.
Faculty: Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College in Kolkata offers various undergraduate courses in arts, science, and commerce. The faculty is generally well-regarded, with students appreciating the guidance provided by teachers. Professors are known for being approachable and supportive, though some students feel that additional effort outside of college is necessary to excel in exams. The college conducts its semester exams as per Calcutta University regulations. Students often find the classroom environment conducive to learning, with well-maintained facilities. Additionally, the college places importance on extracurricular activities, blending academics with cultural events to enrich student life.

They didn't make us ready for the real world. They just taught us what was written in books.
Placements: Rarely do we get placement offers. Our college rarely offered us placements. Not even did we get any internship offers, and we haven't heard anything from our seniors about any worthy internships or placements. We haven't heard of any big companies coming to offer anything.
Infrastructure: I would say the infrastructure of our college is fairly good after the construction of the new building. The new classrooms are very big with digital boards. The computer classrooms have been upgraded with internet. The library is okay. They have mostly old books. There are no Wi-Fi services for students. There is no canteen in our college as of now. Sports and games are one of the most exciting things that happen. Every quarter, a sports/game event is organized for us students.
Faculty: 9 out of 10 teachers are knowledgeable and well-qualified in their subjects. They share their knowledge and experience with us. But they don't prepare us for the industry. They just make us study. The difficulty of exams is above fair; anyone who studies a little will surely pass the exam, but to get good marks, we have to study hard.
Other: I wanted to do something in CS, but there wasn't anything in the course. We just learned the basics and fairly gained knowledge of most languages. They don't teach us what the industry requires. They just teach theory, not real-life practical skills. Events, activities, and sports are the things in which the college (and the students who organize them) are good. Everyone enjoys that. Yes, we get a scholarship for our course.
