This is the one of the best colleges for graduation course.
Placements: From the B.Sc. course, you can't get any placement, but in the Zoology department, you get the best faculty at the North Bengal University. A simple graduation course does not give you a placement. It offers the best graduation course at the North Bengal University. You can count on it.
Infrastructure: In the Zoology Department, you get the best faculty at the North Bengal University. The teachers are very cooperative; they are like family. They provide different graduation courses. It doesn't offer any hostels. You have to find accommodation by yourself.
Faculty: Faculty are the best. They become your family, and eventually they support you in any way possible. The practical room instruments are top-notch and up-to-date. The course itself is not so good; a basic graduation course is useless right now. So I can't recommend you take the basic course.

Our college has a flexible and collaborative atmosphere to learn.
Placements: Around 32 students were enrolled in this course. There are no placements in this college. Few students opted for higher studies. Many students got placed in software companies with decent salary packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was well maintained. Laboratory was better. Classrooms were well-maintained. There was a decent library in this college. Hostel facilities were not provided in this college. Canteen was very good. Our campus had good environment. Basketball court was available on our campus.
Faculty: Teachers were professional. The teaching quality was better for us to understand every topic easily. Few students from different backgrounds may face language issues to some extent. The course curriculum was relevant. We had to work hard to score good marks. If we studied properly, we would score good marks. Semester exams were moderate.
Other: The course was in high demand in every sector that one aspires to build their best career path. The course puts more effort into theory rather than practicals. Events and fests were conducted such as freshers' parties and farewells.

    Good faculty and facilities.
Placements: This college doesn't provide placements, however the facilities are definitely good and our department has the best resources compared to any other college in the city. If you want to pursue life sciences, this college is a solid choice. The college has also added arts streams recently.
Infrastructure: Good quality equipments are available with up to date knowledge faculty members. The classes are equipped with projectors for smart classes. The classrooms are spacious and well lit. The environment is very cozy and quiet. The library has adequate amount of books and operates on a weekly basis. There is a gym room but it has not been opened yet for the students. The sports facilities are not very great as there is not any big playground is available.
Faculty: Great professors with high qualifications and good experience in the teaching line. The course system under the university could be definitely better. The professors are well qualified and use the resources properly along with providing extra knowledge while also following the curriculum.
Other: This college is the only government college in my location, thus the choice. One of the best faculty members available in oir department, along with good facilities provided compared to other colleges. Since I don't love in hostel, I won't be able to provide information on that.

The college acharya prafulla chandra college is very good.
Placements: The department of computer science at acharya prafulla chandra roy government college has started its journey in the session 2014-2015. It comprises adequate number of teachers with exceptional skills and expertise in the allied areas of technology. Every faculty is professionally trained.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are specious, custom designed, well furnished, well ventilated and equipped with proper audibility for students even at the rear end of the classrooms. The college has a well-equipped central digital library in the new building. It is being used extensively by students.
Faculty: The teachers of the college acharya prafulla chandra roy government college are very helpful. Students must appear in regular class test. In addition to attending tutorials and departments seminars etc. for continuous evolution of their performances are organized.

Better than some. Has Potential, Improving too.
Placements: I was a Physics (Honours) student of this college of the 2015-2018 batch. There is negligible placement scenario present for this course as well as other courses too. I had only seen a notification for TCS once. Also there were no internship received by any student in Physics course. Similarly must have been the scenario for other courses.
Infrastructure: Physics Department had 4 Lecture rooms with enough seating arrangements and good quality boards. There were 3 Labs: one General Lab, Dark Room for Optics experiments and a small Electronics Lab. There were even arrangements for Electronics experiments to be performed in two of the classrooms. Maintenance could have been improved. Also it needed availability of better instruments. Library was there where there could have more books for the course. Although students mostly purchased books and hence there was much demand for books. Two books could be issued at a time and renewed at one month interval. Later, a new, big, dedicated building for Library was built with sitting and reading facility. Don't know about the updatation thereafter. There is no hostel facility. A small canteen is there. But college needs bigger Canteen. Yearly Athletic Sports Meet is arranged. Sports equipments mainly includes a Football, Cricket kit, Volleyball, and indoors like Carrom. Table was there for Table Tennis but no Bat and Ball. There is a room for Indoor sports.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified and helpful. Teachers were ready to help when asked for. However, the number of theory classes taught should have been increased. I would also recommend better regularity and quality of the classes in general. A course in Physics (Honours) is obviously relevant. To be industry ready in core basic sciences it usually demands a Master's degree.
Other: Some seminars are also organised which is good. 'INCEPTION', the Fresher's meet and A Social Meet is organised every year where college students as well as some Guest Artists and Music bands perform. Other events include Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, Republic Day Celebration etc. Short Pitch Cricket Tournament was also organised. The Campus is located in a quiet area away from city noises close to Tea Garden.

A Glimpse into Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Government College. A college surrounded with greenery.
Placements: As this is a general college and not an engineering one and provides Bachelor's degree in theoretical subjects so there is no official placements and all but you can easily apply for a summer internship at various prestigious institutes of the country by consulting with the faculty members. For example few of our students went to IISER Mohali, Hyderabad Central University for doing their summer projects.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good. 1) We have smart classes in our college. The entire college has free Wi-Fi facility for the students. The classrooms are spacious and well maintained. The practical labs have all the modern equipments required for analysis. We've recently opened M.Sc. facilities for Zoology students. The faculty members are well qualified from the most renowned institutes of our country. We have air conditioned central library in our college with a plethora of books available for reading and you can also read books from other streams as well. 2) There is no hostel facility but the neighbourhood has some PG and mess services at very affordable prices. The medical facilities are also good as we are very close to North Bengal Medical College so in case of any emergency you can be taken over there very easily. We've all kinds of sports equipments available. Last year our college participated in inter college badminton tournament and came 3rd. The canteen is not so good but there are a lots of shops nearby where students can eat. These shops maintain a very good hygiene so there is no issues about that.
Faculty: The teachers are actually very good and well qualified. The presence of smart classroom makes it much easier to grasp onto the concepts. The teachers use a variety of techniques to make the classes interesting and lively. Yes the curriculum is based on the recent syllabus prescribed by the UGC and it takes into account to make the students efficient to join industries and all. For example in chemistry itself, students are taught chromatography and various other analytic techniques required in the industry.
Other: I chose this course as I really enjoyed chemistry and also because of its versatility. You have a lot career options after doing a B.Sc. in chemistry like joining an industry or doing an M.Sc. in geology, chemistry, biotechnology and all. Plus there's a lot of scope for research also. The current scenario of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced if we can somehow trap them inside large molecules. So yes there's a lot of scope Things that would've made this course a little better if we had scientists from all over globe come to our college to give seminars and all to give us a brief idea regarding the amount and type of research that is going on around the world. The college fest could've been made a little better. As it is a new college so we're a little short on budget as a lot of infrastructural developments are taking place. Hence the fest is organised on very small scale.
