NBU Highlights 2022
The University of North Bengal is a public-funded major research university in Siliguri. Also referred to as North Bengal University (NBU), it was established in 1962 by an Act of the Legislature of West Bengal. NBU holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and a 'Grade A' accreditation from NAAC. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The university also serves as the affiliating body for 50 colleges across Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, and Uttar Dinajpur districts.
