Q:   Can I know the admission procedure for MSc Medical Physiology AIIMS?

    A:
The admission procedure for M.Sc. Medical Physiology at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) may vary from year to year. However, I can provide you with a general outline of the admission process based on previous years' information. It's important to note that the specific details and requirements may change, so it's always recommended to refer to the official AIIMS website or the prospectus for the most accurate and up-to-date information. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by AIIMS. For M.Sc. Medical Physiology, you typically need a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination (Bachelor's degree) from a recognised university. Additionally, candidates must have studied Physics Chemistry Biology and English during their undergraduate studies. Entrance Examination: AIIMS conducts a common entrance examination for admission to its M.Sc. Courses, including Medical Physiology. The entrance exam is typically computer-based and consists of multiple-choice questions. It assesses candidates' knowledge in subjects like Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Biophysics. Result and Merit List: After the entrance exam, AIIMS publishes the results and a merit list based on the candidates' performance in the exam. The merit list determines the candidates' ranks. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam and meet the cutoff criteria are eligible for counseling. AIIMS conducts counseling rounds where candidates can choose their preferred course and college based on their rank and availability of seats. The seat allotment is done based on the candidates' choices and ranks. Document Verification and Admission: After seat allotment, candidates need to report to the designated AIIMS campus for document verification. They must bring their original documents, such as educational certificates, mark sheets, and identification proof. Once the documents are verified, candidates need to pay the admission fees to secure their admission. It's crucial to keep an eye on the official AIIMS website for the release of the prospectus and notifications regarding M.Sc. Admissions. The prospectus will provide detailed information about the eligibility criteria, application process, entrance examination, counseling, and other relevant details specific to the M.Sc. Medical Physiology programme at AIIMS.

Supportive nature of faculty members for students.
Placements: Internship is for 1 year after 4.5 year course of MBBS It has to be done in AIIMS Rishikesh only. Stipend in internship is 30,000 per month In this, we learn a lot from patients. We go to rural areas also for learning. The academics at this college is the best.
Infrastructure: The annual function, PYREXIA, was held last year. It was very good, and I enjoyed it a lot. This year it is going to happen in October. There is a good library in college that has almost all the books required in MBBS. They also provide us with a free subscription to an online platform for studying.
Faculty: faculty members-to-student ratio is around 15:1. The best faculty for me was Dr. Brijendra Singh because they helped me a lot during my first year of MBBS. Some faculty members in their third year were not too good because they used to scold students and they taught very little. A total of 4 times exams are conducted and they are moderately hard.

The college campus is known for its greenery.
Placements: The college is quite famous, and the certificate holds good value. Numerous companies come for placements, and students receive packages of up to four lakhs. Many students are placed, and the college focuses on final-year students participating in these placements. They don't restrict students who have already secured a placement from applying to better options.
Infrastructure: In our rooms, we have full freedom to have whatever we want. Each room is equipped with two tubelights, a bed, an almirah, a mirror, washbasins, and a window. The meal quality is fair enough, and the menu differs on different days. Overall, the hostel facilities are nice and well-maintained. Hostel fee: INR 180 per year.
Faculty: I am satisfied with the course curriculum. I have an interest in studying immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology, so I find this course very interesting, and it also offers many job opportunities. It is a two-year program with a class size of 16. Course fees: INR 70,000 per year.

Campus is big. People can enjoy their campus life.
Placements: Students from the fourth semester are eligible for placements. Companies like ZIFO and Bharat Biotech visited the college lately. TCG life Science visited the university, and 5 students were placed from our department. Minimum salary package is 3 to 4lacs pa and the maximum is 7lacs pa. if students are interested in further studies after their Masters, i.e. Ph.D, then this college would be the best but not for placements.
Infrastructure: In first year, you get a room for 2 people, and it contains a cart, almirah, a study room, continuing a study table, a chair, a sink and there are messes in every hostel with different types of food. There are no separate washrooms.
Faculty: I chose this course because I want to go ahead with biotechnology as a career. Faculty of biotechnology are great personalities with thorough knowledge of the subjects and industrial knowledge as well. There's a positive interaction between students and faculty members. Faculty members are highly qualified with Ph.D. qualifications and also they have cleared all India national exams, as well as some are from the USA. Two exams are conducted per semester, i.e. internal and external. Faculty members support for exam's preparation as well and it's not difficult to pass in them.

It is the best medical college with good infrastructure, the best campus life and studies.
Placements: The placements are good as it's India's best medical college. The highest package offered in this course is around 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 7 LPA. AIIMS conducts recruitments from time to time, and there are many multi-specialty hospitals like Fortis, Max, Manipal and various government jobs. There is no mandatory internship in my course. The best clinical practice is provided as it has a huge patient-flow.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are big and ventilated enough, equipped with air-conditioning. Research labs are available for thesis research. The biggest national library is available on campus, which is 24 hours open to all students having library cards in any course. Hostels are available for boys and girls, and the hostels have mess and various canteens. Sports facilities are excellent.
Faculty: The teachers are very well-qualified and approachable. There are no semester exams, and we have a thesis presentation in the final year. Exams are very tough, and simultaneously, the evaluation is also very difficult to score above 60%.
Other: Fests in AIIMS are the most famous medical fests in India. Pulse is held annually and is open to all medical students all over India and the world. The duration of the fest is 1 week, and many celebrities are invited here every year.

In short our college is best.
Placements: The percentage of students who are placed in my college is about 95 percent and the highest package offered in my course is 52 lac per annum and the lowest package is 4 Lacs per annum and the average package is 25 Lacs per annum. Top companies are tata group of companies 92 percent of students got internship from our course in famous companies The top roles offered in my course is MD.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for your course/department like Wi-Fi labs classrooms and library are very amazing condition that I like most. The quality of the facilities in your hostel, the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is very tasty and healthy also medical facilities sports and games facilities are very qualified and experienced.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable they are very good person and their teaching quality is very amazing. This course also curriculum relevant. And it make the students industry ready. The semester exams in this college not very easy but not difficult it's possible because of the teachers. And the pass percentage is 35 percent.
Other: I choose this course because I'm very interested and excited to read about this course and the best thing about my course is we could get all the knowledge about our body our medical terms. Some things I wish would be better/improve about my course is some words would describe their meanings. Events, Fest, Campus Crowd, Connectivity, Campus Surroundings are very amazing we are enjoying this all the year and scholarship came after the first sem exam.

Everything is awesome except for the hostel facility.
Placements: In our course, there is no placement cell. Though, the face value makes better chances to get a job elsewhere. There are no paid internships, and you have to pay a fee to get an internship. But there is no need to grieve because the name of AIIMS Delhi is enough, and you can get a pretty good job if you have a degree from AIIMS Delhi.
Infrastructure: Females are more as compared to males on the campus. Even in our batch, I am the only male candidate. Individuals from all states are get selected for PGs. We also have a Tamil mess in hostel 8, on the first floor. We also have a scientific community-based union called the Society of Young Scientists. I don't think there is any sex discrimination on the campus nor any discrimination in terms of caste, religion, politics, or economic status. Every other month we have Scientific conferences, poster presentation competitions, scientific talks, etc. The hostel rooms are average, but the problem is they allot one room to 3 M.Sc boys from different streams. Sometimes this causes problems as some people do not keep hygiene.
Faculty: Few faculty members really know the concept of what they are teaching. They are very supportive and helpful. Few faculty members are average, and some have very little knowledge about the subject they are teaching. Everyone is helpful here. The course is divided into 6 subjects, which are general biochemistry, immunology, RDT, molecular biology, stem cell Biology cell, Biology, and other minor branches. The M.Sc in Medical Biochemistry is highly research-oriented. Each student has to choose a particular faculty member's lab according to their research interest. Students also have clinical case discussions. Each M.Sc. students have to complete their thesis, which is purely based on scientific experiments. They have to work for research. This thesis helps them get trained in lab oriented environment and work in it.
