Q:   Can I get into Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Engineering with 70% in class 12th?

A:

While having 70% in class 12th is a good score, unfortunately, it alone cannot guarantee admission to Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Engineering (ADYPSE) for undergraduate engineering programs. Admission to ADYPSE primarily depends on your performance in entrance exams, and class 12th marks generally play a secondary role.

Here's how your class 12th score might be considered:

Minimum eligibility criteria: Most engineering programs at ADYPSE require a minimum aggregate of 50-60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th. Your 70% score should comfortably meet this requirement.

Competitive advantage: Although not directly impacting admission, good class 12th marks might give you a slight edge during the personal interview stage (if applicable) as it demonstrates academic consistency and dedication.

However, the main factor determining your chances of admission would be:

Entrance Exam Scores: You need to perform well in either JEE Main or MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). Each programme has specific cut-off scores that vary based on the exam, category, and program. Even with a 70% in class 12th, scoring below the cut-off in the relevant entrance exam will unfortunately significantly hinder your chances.

Remember, your class 12th score is just one aspect of your application. Focus on preparing well for the relevant entrance exams and try to achieve a score above the cut-off for your desired programme and category. This will significantly increase your chances of securing admission to ADYPSE.

Overall, college is good, and it is worth pursuing engineering here.
Placements: Around 35 to 40 mechanical engineering students secured placements in various companies. Minimum CTC offered was approximately 3.60 LPA, while the highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. College provides 100% placement assistance to all students. Additionally, they offer internships to enhance students' skills and experience.
Infrastructure: Its mechanical department is good compared to other departments. They provide notes and other study materials from time to time. College also offers free Wi-Fi and 24-hours access to clean, filtered drinking water for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive and have great industrial knowledge. All teachers have over 10 years of teaching experience. They also conduct extracurricular activities like go-karting, industrial visits, and many more. Overall, the staff is excellent.
Other: Events organised by college are excellent. There are numerous events throughout the year, and they are all outstanding.

Good infrastructure and staff, placements are good enough.
Placements: Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) has demonstrated solid placement rates, especially in recent years. In 2024, its highest package reached INR 43 LPA, with the average package around INR 5.1 LPA. Top recruiters included companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Shell, Jio, and JP Morgan. ADYPU’s placement cell plays an active role, offering regular training to enhance students’ job readiness through activities like interview coaching and resume building.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the class is good as there are neat benches to seat on, and the class also has a smart board so that it's helpful for the students to learn visually. The Wi-Fi facility is also good. The hostel has an expensive feel, which is not affordable to everyone, but the food here is great at the mess.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable, so the teaching quality becomes top-notch, and the course they teach is enough for passing the SPPU semester exams. The course is good for industry requirements, and passing is not that hard.
Other: Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) offers industry-focused, innovative programs with a hands-on curriculum, modern infrastructure, and experienced faculty. Its strong emphasis on global exposure, entrepreneurship, career support, and all-round development provides a balanced, practical education ideal for preparing students for successful careers and ventures.

Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Engineering review.
Placements: 65% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 14 LPA by IBM, and the average package is around 5-6 LPA. An internship is mandatory for all students, so 100% of students complete an internship. The main recruiters are data scientists, AI modelers, and various car development companies.
Infrastructure: The college has all the facilities that we need, including Wi-Fi, Mac and Windows labs, a library, and classrooms. The hostel is good but expensive, and the food quality is poor. They have a lot of sports activities, and they conduct university matches.
Faculty: The teaching quality of some teachers is excellent, while others are just average. The curriculum is not very relevant, and we have to acquire most of our knowledge from outside sources, as the university hasn't updated the course. The examinations are moderately difficult, and semesters are held every six months.
Other: I got allotted to this college through the Maharashtra cap allotment system. The food quality is good and the prices are reasonable. The syllabus is new and updated. There are events held throughout the year, and a cultural fest is held during Ganesh utsav.

Absolutely satisfied with the good placement and faculty .
Placements: The highest package of the college is 10 LPA, while the lowest package of the college is 3LPA. The top recruiters were TCS, Infosys, etc. A lot of the students were placed in 2023, given that it was the first batch of Artificial intelligence and Data Science course.
Infrastructure: The college has free access to Wi-Fi for all the students, and we have projectors and a blackboard in all the classes. The college also has a huge library with various books. There are different labs for different subjects as per our course, and the labs are huge. Hostel facilities are also available on the college campus for both boys and girls.
Faculty: The faculty is really great; they help you in a lot of things. Especially from second year, they encourage you to write your own code using your own logic; they help you do extra courses to help you build your resume and also help you get internships. There are two exams in each sem: insem and endsem. Insem are of 30 marks, and endsem are of 70 marks.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
