B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2014
Offered by Alwar Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET Alwar)
4.2

The college has qualified teachers, but our college lacks in placements.
Placements: Our batch has 40 students, and about 20% of the students got selected through placements which are held through on-campus. The average salary package offered was between 2.5 to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are KEI Industries, Eicher Tractors, Ashok Leyland, Havells and other local casting-machining plants. About 8-10 students got placed in companies.
Infrastructure: This college has enough classrooms, conference hall, projector, laboratory, machines and computer labs with software. We have various packaged foods, tea, coffee, and fast foods. This college has the best greenery area as compared to other city colleges, and it also has huge playgrounds.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were qualified, but they could not guide us for a job, or how to get placements. They have good teaching skills. The course was according to the affiliated university, which is Rajasthan Technology University, Kota. However, college placements are low, so it doesn't make you industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen engineering course because I like technology. The college needs to improve placements. Our college conducts many events and extracurricular activities.

A total summary of the above details is that my college is the best college.
Placements: Companies had come in the college. They took personal interviews and group discussions and after then they selected students. Different companies took a different percentage of students like above 65%, above 75% or above 80%. The highest salary offered by company was 5 lacs and minimum salary was 1.5 lacs.
Infrastructure: There was Wi-Fi available on our college campus with a good and large classroom and a big library. Medical facilities were available. Every year, sports and games are held in our college. There are good ACs present in the lab and also project-based teaching is available. The food available in the canteen is expensive but good for health. There are luxurious hostel rooms available.
Faculty: All the faculty members are from NIT and top government colleges. They have a good experience in life, they are very helpful in studies and they give extra time to solve problems. They have a lot of knowledge about the topic, so they have easy to understand techniques. The student to faculty ratio is almost 10:1.

The overall review for this college. Try somewhere else before applying here.
Placements: The placement in this college is not very good for the mechanical branch. The highest package for the mechanical branch was 1.8 lakhs for 2017 and only 2 core mechanical companies arrived in the campus. The placement cell only focuses on the computer engineering branch and the electronics branch. So, the placements for this college is average. None of the students got the internship from this college this year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is good but not so big. It is a part of the IET college Alwar, so you get every facility from IET which has a great infrastructure. But, AIET has good labs, library and medical facilities, but sports and games facilities are not good. The quality of labs in this college was good once but not today as they have very less equipment in labs. Hostel rooms are good but food in the mess is average. So, the infrastructure is average for this college.
Faculty: In AIET, the faculty team was very good once but not yet because every faculty member is a pass out from this college and got a job here. Only 1or 2 faculty members are good in teaching. They don't focus on you, so they are very bad in this college. They are not very helpful for you, so you are on your own. They do not focus on other courses and they only teach you from the course book.
Other: I think these details are important for you. Think 10 times before joining here because now this college has been closed and no classes/labs are done here.Everything from here has been transferred to IET college. If you take admission here, you basically enrolled for the IET college which is even worse than this in terms of studies. This college is the best for you if you think you can study yourself and have fun.

I don't like this college due to faculty members.
Placements: There are very fewer students in this college. The batch in which I am studying is the last one as the college is about to close. Very fewer companies are visiting the campus. Placements happened in our college in the year 2016, and the college condition is very bad in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is good, and labs are in good and working condition. The college has built in a very spacious manner. The college has a separate mechanical block, and computer science and electronic blocks are within the same building.
Faculty: It is a private engineering college. In the first year, faculty members are good, but after that, there is hardly any teacher who has in-depth knowledge. The course curriculum is good for mechanical and electrical branches, but the course curriculum is a disaster for computer science branch. Faculty members are not good except a few.
Other: There is no coach for any of the games, and it will be a waste of time playing without a coach. There are extracurricular activities, and it's fun to enjoy it.
