Our college has really good infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: Mostly software companies visit the college for placements. As far as I know, only a few students get internships. A few students also got placed with the handsome salary package of more than 40 LPA in the last 2-3 years. The best thing about this college is its highly qualified teachers from IITs, out standing faculty members and labs.

Infrastructure: Labs are highly equipped with everything required for the course. Classrooms are clean, well-maintained, and airy. Students can get almost every book they want from the library. The library is easily accessible to every student. Hostel rooms are good along with the quality of the mess food. We cannot get food like our home anywhere outside. It provides 24x7 ambulance service and basic medical facilities. There are coaches to dedicate to each sport like football, basketball, volleyball, and taekwondo.

Faculty: The best thing about this college is its academic course curriculum. Maximum teachers are from IITs. All the faculty members are highly qualified with outstanding teaching quality. The university course curriculum is not capable of making the students industry-ready. The college on its own adds a few extra topics to the curriculum. However, classes from 1st semester to the 8th semester are fully dedicated to programming, soft skills development, and the nature of healthy competitions, which makes students industry-ready.

Other: The college is well-connected to the nearest railway station and bus stand. The calendar remains filled with interesting events like quizzes, hackathons, chess competitions, investigation competitions, etc. Every year famous artists come to the fest like Arman Malik, Salim Sulaiman, Sunidhi Chauhan, etc. It is a two-day program with a lot of fun.

Good infrastructure, value for money.

Placements: In my opinion, the college gives decent placements. This year, they gave a lot of job offers to the students. Most of the companies that came to our college include TCS, Cognizant, KPIT, Wipro, Godrej, IBM, Infosys, BMWIL, HCL, Kovair, Persistent, KPEETI Technologies, etc. They gave 63% placement.

Infrastructure: Academy of Technology offers 4 years of B.Tech and 2 years of MCA courses. In B.Tech, we have 5 branches: Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Business Systems, EEE, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Classrooms are average, and Wi-Fi is not available for students.

Faculty: Our college rules are very strict. College teachers are very well qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers have 15+ years of teaching experience. Obviously, this course curriculum is relevant for hardworking students. Semester exams are very difficult in our college, and 40% is the passing mark.

Other: If you want to work in the industry or in the corporate sector, then obviously this course is for you.

Reviewing Academy of Technology.

Placements: Academy of Technology offers pretty decent placements. Almost 96-97% students are getting placed in the college placements. The average package offered here is around 4-4.5 Lacs per annum. Also some of the students prefer to go for higher studies after B.Tech and appear for GATE exam.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Academy of Technology is really good and the hostels are also quite good. Boys and girls are offered separate hostels at Academy of Technology. There is a big general library along with Departmental Libraries. There are also multiple auditoriums and a big canteen.

Faculty: Teaching faculty and staff is also quite good here at Academy of Technology. Teachers are highly qualified in their fields and some of them have their Ph.D. degrees as well. They motivate the students for both higher studies and placements. They always help the students to clear any doubts.

I'm satisfied with the faculty and good infrastructure.

Placements: Nearabout 70% students are placed from our college. Highest package is 43 lacs, average package is 4 lacs, and I don't know about the lowest package. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Prime, etc. Top roles offered from my course is NVFIA. I don't know about internship percentage.

Infrastructure: Every type of infrastructure is available for our course as possible. Wi-Fi is not provided because of distraction, but it's available on college computers. All types of labs are available. Library is also available, and environment is perfect for study.

Faculty: Teachers are providing their best to us, they are well qualified and those are very informative. Teaching quality is awesome. Our course is good for placement, these can make students industry-ready with their best faculty and technology. Semester exam is a little hard but okay.

Academy of Technology Reality Check

Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college is around 80% and if I talk about the average package, it was 3 Lacs per annum, and the highest was 15 Lacs per annum (on-campus) and 45 Lacs (off-campus). There are no top recruiting companies that come to our college, but mass recruiting companies like TCS, COGNIZANT, CAPGEMINI, TECH MAHINDRA, etc., do visit.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. It is situated in the Hooghly district, in a village named Adisaptagram, and the campus is around 12 acres. Labs and classrooms are well-furnished as well as clean. This place is heaven for nature lovers. In our college, there is no cafeteria-like setup; instead, we have a canteen, and the famous food is PAROTA and ghugni for 16 Rs. Sports facilities are only available for hostelers.

Faculty: Our college is affiliated with MAKAUT University. The exams that were conducted were under MAKAUT as well. If I talk about the toughness of the paper, it is not that high like IITs. The paper is of 70 marks, and 30 marks are from the internal assessments conducted by our college itself.

Other: Things would be better if our college were affiliated with a different university, and there should also be some inter-sports facilities.

A brief review on Academy Of Technology, Hooghly.

Placements: The placements at AOT have not been good in recent years. Although the college showcases 141% placement statistics on its placement record, most of these are multiple offers made to the same students. The average package offered by the companies on-campus is 3.5-4 LPA. Companies such as Cognizant, TCS, and Persistent come for placements every year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at AOT is quite good. The college has 2 hostels, one each for boys and girls. There is a central library which has over 1 lakh books and journals. Every branch has its own building. There is a basketball court, a volleyball court, a gymnasium, and a football field.

Faculty: Most of the faculty are IIT-NIT graduates and hold PhDs in their respective fields. The college follows a set curriculum and syllabus put forth by the university, i.e., MAKAUT. Semester exams are conducted twice, and there are class assessments that are conducted every month according to the MAKAUT routine.

Other: The annual cultural fest, Arcadia, is hosted by the college every year in the month of March-April. There are various clubs and student chapters in the college which host lots of events throughout the year.

My rank is 20k and cutoff for first counselling is 81257 for BTech ECE. Do I have a chance of getting a seat in AOT till last round?

Considering the AOT cutoff 2024 for the BTech courses, only Round 1 seat allotment was released for the ECE course. Considering the AOT ECE cutoff 2024, the cutoff stood at 81257. So, yes, it can definitely be possible to get into AOT with a mere rank of 20k. Check out below the ECE year-wise cutoff
