Dissatisfied because of syllabus and the way of teaching.

Placements: It's not good as NITs but not bad as other private colleges like Haldia and BCET in Bengal. If you are a CSE student, then it is easier to get a job from here because our mass recruiter is TCS. But apart from TCS, some big companies visit our college like L&T, Wipro, IBM, Mindtree but they recruit very few students perhaps 1 or 2. But the placements of other branches are very poor except ECE.

Asansol Engineering College, review by a student.

Placements: The placements are good this year. The scenario is a little bit different, unlike the other years where the placement is not up to the mark. The companies like TCS, Mindtree and Wipro are the main recruiters. Other than these, the software companies like Bosch, Johnson Controls, Honeywell also recruited the students from this college. The highest package offered is around Rs. 6.5 LPA and the average package offered is Rs. 3.25. LPA.

Overall, a good college for pursuing BTech.

Placements: In the batch of 2013-2017, the placement record is quite good as you can see 200+ students placed in TCS. More companies visited and nearly 150+ students were placed in companies like Mindtree, Capgemini, and Pinnacle. Companies like Johnson Control, Bosch and Bokaro steel also recruited around 10+ students.

My journey to Asansol Engineering College (AEC Asansol).

Placements: The placement of this college is quite good. But the faculty of some branches do not cooperate with the students and also, they don't give information at the right time which causes problem to the students. Almost 60% students get placed through college placements.

All the teachers are too good and well educated.

Placements: Approximately 70 percent of the students got placed in my course. The highest package is nearly Rs.11LPA and the average is Rs.6 to 7 LPA. Companies like Microsoft and Tata are the major recruiting companies in my course. Asansol Engineering College has internships and many students got internship.

It has a good infrastructure and good facilities.

Placements: Many companies visit our college for placements. Students get placed in service-based companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, CTS, etc. Some product-based companies like Amazon, McAfee, Godrej, etc., also visit our college for the recruitment process or campus drive.

It is an average college.

Placements: Almost 80% of our CSE branch students got placements in small branch companies. The highest salary package offered is approximately 8 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are from IT sectors, Tisco and many others. Students who scored almost 8.5 CGPA got placements according to their intelligence and interview round. For having a change of placement, you must have to score 8 CGPA to be seated in the exam of those companies. Internships are not goo...

It is a good college for non-core branches.

Placements: Placements in our college were very good when we're in the final year of our B.Tech course. Around 400-500 students got placed from the last year passed out batch. Placements in core branches are somehow less than that of non-core branches. Mainly, consultancy companies visit here for placements.

There are good infrastructure and facilities in the college.

Placements: Only 15 students out of 60 got placed last year. This year, there are no such companies visit with a good package. The companies recruit for marketing position only. The college offers only one internship. Everyone was told to arrange for an internship by their sources.

Placements of our college are good, and I am highly satisfied with it.

Placements: Asansol Engineering College placements are not that good, but it is average. None of the students got placed until now since six companies visited our campus for placements of our department and still other companies are yet to visit our campus. Almost 25 students out of 60 students from our senior batch got placed.

The college is average in terms of facilities but a disaster in terms of studies.

Placements: Till now 5 to 6 companies visited our college for recruitment for our batch, and most of them were from a marketing background. Some students want placement for finance background, but still, the placements are average. Our previous batch has also done great in placement, so many different companies visited all together. Placements of our college for our department is average.

Our college is good for EC, IT and CSE branches, but not much better for core branches.

Placements: Placements in our college were not very good or not very bad. TCS, Simplex, Sri Ram Finance and Tata Motors visit our college for placements. This college tied-up with JIS Group of Techno India, therefore every student must visit techno India sector 5, Kolkata for placements to the interview. Wipro and TCS provide huge placements.

Review of AEC - Asansol Engineering College.

Placements: Placements in our college are not good. Very few numbers of students got placed in good companies. I have not got any chance to face an interview in any multinational companies. Placements are average.

Satisfied with my college and will recommend.

Placements: The placements are quite good in the college. Almost 90% of students get placed with their hard work. There is an average package of 3-4 LPA. Every year the number of students for placements increases in the college. The students can also do an internship from the 2nd year of their course.
