Candidate must passed H.S.L.C./ 10th or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) and also have to pass individually in both theory and practical/ Internal Assessment with minimum 40% marks on average in Mathematics and Science for General/OBC/ MOBC candidates, 35% marks on average in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates and 33% marks on average in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates, from a recognized Institute/ board. Candidate must register in www.dte.assam.gov.in for admission offered by SCTE. The Maximum age limit for UR/OBC/MOBC is 20 years 6 months as on 31-12-2024, for SC/ST, maximum age limit is 23 years 6 months as on 31-12-2024 and for PH/PwD, maximum age limit is 25 years 6 months as on on 31-12-2024. NOTE: No compartmental candidate will be allowed to take admission. For Rank Generation Marks of Four Subjects (Maths, Science, English And Social Science) will be Considered. Candidates must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam . [Except son/daughter of central Govt. Employees). Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) must be produced at the time of Counseling. Physical Fitness (Optional): Candidate must be physically and mentally fit. Candidate will have to produce fitness Certificate at the time of admission from a registered medical practitioner as per enclosed format. Eligibility for Sports Quota: Candidate must be a medal winner of State Games/ State Championships/ Tournaments organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam and will be decided in order of Medals of Gold/ Silver/ Bronze received. The medals received by the candidates must be within the period of last 3 years. Eligibility for NCC Quota: Selection of candidates for NCC category would be considered in order of merit as per NCC Examination Certificate. NOTE: Candidates are asked to submit the documents of the NCC camp attendance. In case of tie in NCC certificate and grade, the camp attendance will be considered for deciding rank.

Placements: AEI has a decent placement scenario with many students getting placed in reputed companies in every year. The placement cell conduct various placement drives and skill enhancement programme to help student. Many reputed companies offers and hired student from the institute in past like Oil India, IBM, TCS etc. Offering a descent package around 3-5 Lacs.

Infrastructure: AEI is equipped with modern facilities, including computer labs with the latest hardware and software, a library with a vast collection of book and journals, sports facilities for both Indore and outdoor games and well maintained hostel with all facilities including 24 hrs electricity and water supply, high-speed internet connectivity, student security, medical facilities and mess facility that serves nutritious food to the students.

Faculty: AEI provides a well rounded education to student. The experienced professors and lecturers with extensive knowledge and modern teaching methods ensure that student grasp the concepts and develop practical skill. AEI covers a wide range of topics, including progamming languages, databases, management, operating systems, computer network and etc. The curriculum designed to provides a strong foundation in CS while also enabling them to specialize in their areas of interest and monthly or weekly test are conducted to test student's understanding and improvement. It is one of the top technical institutes in the state.

Placements: Approximately 50-60% of the students get placed with the highest salary package offered around 2.5 LPA and the lowest salary package of 1.5 LPA. Students got placements in many PSU and private companies. Around 70-75% of the students got internships from the course in different companies. Junior engineers and developers are the roles offered.

Infrastructure: The institute is well-managed and has a good infrastructure. Wi-Fi facilities are available on the entire campus in every department. Classrooms are in good condition with projectors. The library is very good, and the materials related to the course are available. Hostels are with good accommodation capacity.

Faculty: All the faculty members are great, highly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The course curriculum is relevant. But with the development of technology curriculum has to be upgraded and make future-ready. Semester exams are not that tough. Almost 98% of the students pass out with flying colors

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in computer science. Introduction of the latest technology will improve the course even more.

I had a good time in this college.

Placements: Placement is good in the institute if you're good in your respective field of study. When talking about CSE, People come to get students who are good with C programming and must have eagerness for Java. I don't know the packages offered for the other students.

Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi, ethernet in the labs. Classrooms are good too but the library doesn't have all the books you need. Hostel is good with Wi-Fi setup up by the students. All main sports and games are played in the sports week. Quality of the hostel food is good.

Faculty: The teachers were very helpful in our department. The course curriculum is much relevant. It makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are not so difficult as the theory exams are of 70 marks. 30 marks are from assignments and attendance etc.

My overall experience was good here.

Placements: There were no placements in our batch due to the Covid-19 situation. Normally there were placements for previous batches but not very much. For internships, our college is good. Companies like APDCL, oil companies and railways give internships. The roles were mainly offered with respective of our branch.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Basically, for the computer engineering branch, classrooms and labs are good. There are 3 practical labs with a facility of internet. Hostel facilities are also good. The quality of food served here is nice. There is also a medical college near the hostel, and there are good facilities for sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers here are well educated and friendly. You won't have problems interacting with them. Teaching quality is also very good. The semester exams are also not much hard if we study what teachers teach us. Teachers were also helpful so that we didn't face any problems with our exams.

Other: The best thing about computer engineering is that we can interact with computers. We were able to learn new computer languages and develop app websites.
