Absolutely satisfied, one of the best faculty for economics in Kolkata.

Placements: Placement is average here, some students are placed. But it has a separate career counselling and training programme which is available in very few colleges. This programme is very helpful for students as it helps them to find a job. It has a placement cell as well.

I am absolutely happy because of really good faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: Since I am pursuing a degree course, none of the students bothers to attend the interviews. However, companies like TCS, Teleperformance and many more visit for recruitment. Students are not interested in opting for placements as they had different plans. Many students pursue their dreams and indulge in further studies.

Review of our college and course. The faculty was good but dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: None of the students from our batch got placed. We didn't get any placements because there was no placement drive arranged for us. Top recruiters included Reliance, Bata, Coco-Cola from our previous batch. Almost everyone from our batch got internships and in good companies like Tata Nexa, Nestle, Bata.

It is a good college for students. The infrastructure of our college is good.

Placements: Almost 20 to 30% of the students got placed. The salary package offered ranges between 1.3 LPA-3 LPA. Wipro, TCS, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Role of the back office clerk was offered to students. There are fewer opportunities for students to get a technical job as our course is non-technical. The salary offered ranges between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month. Around 30 to 40% of the students got an internship.

It is a college which moulds students into a mature and socially active person.

Placements: Placements will not be there for our course. It is mainly a general degree college, so it is very unexpected to have placements. But because of its location advantage students, after doing Zoology Hons generally, go for master degree or prepare for a government job. Now most of them are doing the job in academics, banks or other government sectors.

I am satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: We were not placed from Asutosh College. Once Wipro visited our campus for the voice process, and few people got selected. However, there were no other placements for the students, which was quite disheartening and sad from the students' point of view. Hope the faculty improves placements.

The college has good infrastructure and experienced faculty members.

Placements: No placements were provided by the college. Some companies visited the campus to give some seminars, but the placements provided are too low. Hardly 1 or 2 students were placed, but the salary packages offered were very low. We have to complete our M.Sc. to get job offers further with good salary packages.

Excellent faculty but lack of placement opportunities.

Placements: No opportunity of internship or placement was provided during or after three years of graduation. I'm not quite aware of the presence of any proper placement cell in our college. If internship scopes could be created, it would be very helpful for the students.

Asutosh College pros and cons.

Placements: There was no placement cell for bachelors students in Asutosh College. The college must introduce more rigorous placement team that provides jobs for the students so that they don't have to search for a job. The college charged fees, and we cannot expect more from a government institute.

It is a moderate college with lots of opportunities.

Placements: Many students of our batch are pursuing higher studies, and some of us are in private jobs and government jobs. But most of us are still trying for placements. Some companies visited the college for placements. Most of the students did not get placements from college. The college is affiliated to Calcutta University.

Journey of being a graduate- Asutosh College.

Placements: The campus was big and airy with several subjects to be pursued. Campus interviews by Wipro and Infosys took place. The placement interview gave the students an idea to appear for the interview. The salary offered by Infosys to me was 2.5 Lacs per annum.

A great college and is accredited with A grade by NAAC.

Placements: Companies visit the campus and conduct interviews for the students who are in the third year of their course. Companies like TCS, SAIL, and many others visit the campus for placements. They conduct seminars, group discussion, and personal interview rounds to hire desirable students. A lot of placement opportunities are available here for all the students of this college.

A review of Asutosh College.

Placements: The college doesn't offer any placement opportunities in the stream of geography as it is a degree course only. A degree would add more efficiency to your CV. Pursuing a masters course with B.Ed would make you liable for any job in the teaching stream.

Faculty and course curriculum are good, but placements and infrastructure are bad.

Placements: Placements are not guaranteed. The college doesn't offer you any kind of placements. This is basically a degree course which would just provide you with more opportunities and broaden your field. If you apply for B.Ed after masters, you would be able to apply for any teaching job.

A college with good education, faculty members, extracurricular activities, etc.

Placements: I have done my graduation in English literature, so I do not know about the placements taking place in college. Even if there have been internships or placements from other departments, I do not know about it. English honours students in our college do not get the opportunity for any internships or placements.

I am dissatisfied with the fact that the college is affiliated to Calcutta University.

Placements: As we have a bachelor's degree in Asutosh College, there are minimum companies coming to provide jobs, but placement drives are conducted. Companies like TCS and IFB come for conducting interviews, and many of the qualified students get jobs. Some experience in those companies will help them if they want to do masters.

Masters in Enviornmental Science from Asutosh College.

Placements: Our college has a small placement cell but it is still in its nascent stage. Most of the students go for a Ph.D. or get into the industry by off-campus placement. More than 5 people in my class went for the job and got a job in coaching institutes as a lecturer. The normal salary offered must have been around somewhat 25-30k. None of the environmental pertaining company visited our campus. Almost everyone had a summer internship in my college and most of the time it was in some other institute a...

It's a good college which provides necessary amenities and quality education.

Placements: In our statistics department, after the Bachelor's degree, we get placement offers through campusing. The salary offered ranges from Rs.20,000-50,000. Placements are not good in all the departments of our college, but in a few departments like statistics, geology, etc., they are good.

Love this college, enjoyed my graduation years with lot le of fun.

Placements: Asutosh college doesn't provide any placement opportunity to the students in economics dept. In case of internship, students have to find their own internship. Professors help them with all possible information, but college does not offer any internship to students.

Review on Asutosh College.

Placements: Some companies like ICICI prudential, SAIL, TCS come and recruit a good numbers of students. Although placements are good compare to other government institutes except JU. But if you want a placement of your own subject of specialisation, this may be not the right place. But if you want to start a career with above mentioned companies, you will get a fair chance. There is a placement cell which is very active and send emails and massages to every eligible student for these type of job interview....
