Is B.Sc at Bareilly College a good choice?

Here's what current students and alumni say:

    Pros:

    * Good teachers and teaching quality
    * Relevant course curriculum
    * Opportunities for competitive exams and scholarships
    * Decent infrastructure, including libraries and sports facilities
    * Campus life is interactive and loving

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities (no placements guaranteed)
    * Most students find employment on their own, without assistance from the college
    * Faculty members' dedication might vary, as some pursue personal coaching businesses
    * Infrastructure is old, with limited Wi-Fi availability
    * Limited hostel facilities

    Realistic Expectations:

    * Not a guarantee of placements, but students can still secure internships and jobs on their own
    * Course relevance and teaching quality can lead to success in competitive exams
    * Campus life is pleasant, but not overly exciting

Overall, B.Sc at Bareilly College seems to have both positive and negative aspects. While it has good teachers and a decent infrastructure, the lack of guaranteed placements and limited internship opportunities might deter some students. However, students who are self-motivated and willing to work hard can still achieve their goals.

Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary depending on factors like course selection, academic performance, and post-graduation plans. It's essential to weigh these pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.

My honest review about Bareilly College.
Placements: I opted for B.Sc. (PCM). In this course, there is no particular placement criterion, but those who score a good percentage can get a scholarship for higher studies. In management courses, students get placed, like B.Com, BCA, BBA, MCA, and M.Com, etc. Top companies are from the IT sector and management sector.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is excellent. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library facilities are available. There is one old Azad hostel, which is currently not running. So overall, there is no hostel facility and no mess area, but there is one canteen, which is so cool. Medical facilities are average, and sports and games are at an excellent level.
Faculty: College faculty is highly qualified and top-notch. They help students in every aspect. The teaching quality is also excellent. The course curriculum is relevant and valuable. There is no difficulty to passing semester exams. A minimum of 33 percent is required to pass.
Other: Currently, I am a B.Sc. PCM student from batch M2. I opted for this course to study mathematics at the research level. I want to become a professor in mathematics. I chose this college because it provides an excellent environment and the best faculty for Maths. The college campus is so crowded. The college is situated in a metropolitan area. The college offers scholarships for every course.

Our college provides good opportunities at affordable fee.
Placements: Placements are not provided on campus. Students get internships in local companies on their own to gain experience. Students have to compete UG and PG and then qualify for competitive exams to succeed. B.Tech courses are not offered in our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are limited. Its building is old and the infrastructure is not good. The library is good and consists of all the books.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified. Teaching quality is good. Students have to attend classes regularly. Semester exams are moderately difficult and strictly conducted. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: Our course fee is not high. Students have to take part in extracurricular activities and join ABVP by themselves.

    Review of Bareilly College.
Placements: Bareilly College is a very well-known college under MJPRU. The B.Sc. mathematics course is a very poor course at this college and lots of students do this course. There is a user-friendly environment for students and the classes for students and teachers are very good for understanding the course. There are 80 students in my section and the teacher was very good so we had clear concepts. After doing this course, students get placed as teachers in any college they want. There were not a lot of recruitment companies for this course. Internships are based on students efforts, and the top role of this course is that of a teacher and a scientist.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi for the students but the classrooms were very neat and clean. The library was also a very quiet place to learn and one watercolor was also placed in it so that students could drink chilled water. The labs are also good and all the chemicals are available in the lab. Students do experiments with the help of the teacher. The hostel is not very good; rooms are very small and having two students in a room is very uncomfortable. The mess is not regularly open because fighting is the rule of this host, so one should either make his own food or go out to eat food.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful towards students and they are well qualified in math; actually, Ph.D. holders were the teachers and they have about 10 years of experience teaching math. The teaching quality is very good. This course curriculum is relevant because, after this course, a student can be a teacher or a mentor. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 90% for this course and there were yearly exams in the college, which were not so difficult. A student who takes his course seriously and reads every day should pass the exam.
Other: I want to become a teacher in the field of mathematics; that's why I chose this course. The best part of this course is that the teacher was very impressive and well experienced so he clarified all our concepts very well. The timings should be better for this course; the class timings must be changed for the ethos course. There have been many events in the college over the past year. The campus is very good and big; there are three fields on the campus and lots of departments, about 100. There was also an auditorium in the college where all the programs were organized.

Students can take admission in this college to achieve their desired goals.
Placements: Almost 70-80% of students got placed in this course. Internships are offered in this course.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good. The infrastructure is better. There is a decent library in this college. Laboratory is better. Classrooms are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Semester exams are moderate.

Total waste of time. Not at all up to the mark in any field.
Placements: Our college does not gives placement to students in B.Sc. With any subjects. In other courses like B.Tech, BCA etc. There must be placements but for plain graduation there are no placements in our college. That too in those courses too I have never heard of good packages. The percentage of students getting placements is very less to almost 10%.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are just very big rooms and equipped with very old type furniture only. Other than furniture and fans there are no other facilities. There is no hostel in our college. There is no mess and canteen. For sports the facilities are quite good and equipment is also good but our basketball court is not at all in a playable condition.
Faculty: Many teachers not even come during their lectures and they don't even bother if any student comes or not. It does not make the students industry ready at all. I don't have idea about semester exam because during our time it used to be annual. Talking about annual exam difficulty it was quite good. Passing percentage was the normal 33%.
Other: I just wanted to do plain graduation so that I can also prepare for other competitive exams. They should be wary of the student's attendance and also they should be strict towards exams privacy There are very few interactive events and programmes. Scholarship is there which is good enough and extracurricular activities are also there.

This college is very good in terms of fee structure.
Placements: Placements are not good in our college. It also provides good guidance about competitive exams like IIT, JAM, etc. Other courses like B.Sc, BBA, and BCA provide good placements. The average salary package offered ranges from 4 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: It is the best college, and everyone can afford the fee easily. Our classrooms are good. It also provides a huge library. Free Wi-Fi is available. There are two hostels for girls and boys.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. They help us with every problem. They are very humble and decent. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is not professional. According to NEP, you can take any course curriculum subject as a minor. Semester exams are hard, and the pass percentage is average.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. Our college also provides scholarships to meritorious students.
