Q:   Is B.A. at Bareilly College worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Is BA at Bareilly College worth the investment?

After analyzing the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

* Placement: The college doesn't offer any placements, and students might face challenges finding employment opportunities. However, students can attend the "Rozgaar Mela" organized annually, which helps students find jobs.
* Teaching Quality: Professors are qualified, but not always effective in imparting industry-ready skills. Some teachers may prioritize caste over performance, leading to inconsistent grading.
* Infrastructure: While the college has an excellent library and hostels, other facilities like canteens, medical rooms, and parking areas are inadequate.
* Faculty Support: Faculty members are generally knowledgeable and supportive, encouraging students to participate in extracurricular activities.
* Course Curriculum: The curriculum doesn't prepare students for the industry, and some subjects may be outdated.

Considering these factors, we would say that pursuing a BA at Bareilly College comes with its limitations. While the college offers a relatively affordable education (almost zero fees), students may struggle to secure placements and may require additional certifications or diplomas to boost their employability.

+ Excellent libraries and hostels
+ Knowledgeable and supportive faculty
* Cons:
+ Limited placement opportunities
+ Inconsistent teaching quality
+ Outdated curriculum
+ Insufficient infrastructure (canteens, medical rooms, etc.)
+ Difficulty securing employment without additional certifications/diplomas

My honest review about Bareilly College.
Placements: I opted for B.Sc. (PCM). In this course, there is no particular placement criterion, but those who score a good percentage can get a scholarship for higher studies. In management courses, students get placed, like B.Com, BCA, BBA, MCA, and M.Com, etc. Top companies are from the IT sector and management sector.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is excellent. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library facilities are available. There is one old Azad hostel, which is currently not running. So overall, there is no hostel facility and no mess area, but there is one canteen, which is so cool. Medical facilities are average, and sports and games are at an excellent level.
Faculty: College faculty is highly qualified and top-notch. They help students in every aspect. The teaching quality is also excellent. The course curriculum is relevant and valuable. There is no difficulty to passing semester exams. A minimum of 33 percent is required to pass.
Other: Currently, I am a B.Sc. PCM student from batch M2. I opted for this course to study mathematics at the research level. I want to become a professor in mathematics. I chose this college because it provides an excellent environment and the best faculty for Maths. The college campus is so crowded. The college is situated in a metropolitan area. The college offers scholarships for every course.

Big no for Bareilly College.
Placements: Bareilly College is a government college which does not provide any kind of placements. They just give you a degree and a mark sheet. But they organise "Rozgaar Mela" every year to provide jobs to the students and outsiders can also apply for this mela.
Infrastructure: I am a student of Geography Department. They don't put any efforts in cleaning the classes, desks and benches, not even washrooms. There is a facility of Wi-Fi but it is only for the professors not for the students. There is a small library for geography students but only students doing Masters can sit and issue books, but a Bachelor’s student cannot issue any books. There is neither a canteen facility nor a medical facility available. There are sports and games available, but not for everyone.
Faculty: The professors are very disappointing because they judge you on the basis of your caste. They are qualified and literate, but not educated. Teaching quality is low as they teach only in Hindi because majority of the students are of Hindi medium. The curriculum does not make any student industry ready. In semester exam, there is a part of mid semester where the professors manipulate everyone for attendance but in the end, they give marks to every non deserving as well as deserving student. The passing percentage is about 80% .
Other: It was my mistake to choose this course from Bareilly College. They need to improve each and every thing in that college and mostly in the geography department.

Absolutely good and satisfied college and campus
Placements: Placement were not top notch of this college. Very least companies aqauries have to this college for taking placement . Only 25 percentage of students get placed. And others got nothing. There were many roles offered. Like front deskanager, clerk and something like that.
Infrastructure: My experience in college and hostel was satisfactory . Cleanliness was decent. Electricity timing was good. And wifi router give decent speed and setup was at every corner of every building. Classroom were cleans and cool . Library was quiet and full of books.
Faculty: Yes some teachers were very helpful and give everything they have to help you and teach every drop of their knowledge. Exams management was good. All things was in time. Semester was quite difficult to pass on . But the percentage for pass the exam was too low.
Other: When I pass out this college I was sad and happy too. Because I give my good years to this college make some friend.

Our college provides good opportunities at affordable fee.
Placements: Placements are not provided on campus. Students get internships in local companies on their own to gain experience. Students have to compete UG and PG and then qualify for competitive exams to succeed. B.Tech courses are not offered in our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are limited. Its building is old and the infrastructure is not good. The library is good and consists of all the books.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified. Teaching quality is good. Students have to attend classes regularly. Semester exams are moderately difficult and strictly conducted. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: Our course fee is not high. Students have to take part in extracurricular activities and join ABVP by themselves.

Review of Bareilly College.
Placements: Students who score first division in this college are eligible for placements. Approximately 90% of students got placed in this course. MBA course is not available in our college, so there are private sectors for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The library is excellent. Hostels are very good. Our campus is not Wi-Fi-enabled. Parking facility is available.
Faculty: All faculty members are from different states. Teachers try to enhance the knowledge of every student for a better future. There are around 100 teachers in this college. Every subject has at least 10 teachers.
Other: Our campus is free from ragging. Many functions are organised for study purposes.

Review of Bareilly College.
Placements: Bareilly College is a very well-known college under MJPRU. The B.Sc. mathematics course is a very poor course at this college and lots of students do this course. There is a user-friendly environment for students and the classes for students and teachers are very good for understanding the course. There are 80 students in my section and the teacher was very good so we had clear concepts. After doing this course, students get placed as teachers in any college they want. There were not a lot of recruitment companies for this course. Internships are based on students efforts, and the top role of this course is that of a teacher and a scientist.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi for the students but the classrooms were very neat and clean. The library was also a very quiet place to learn and one watercolor was also placed in it so that students could drink chilled water. The labs are also good and all the chemicals are available in the lab. Students do experiments with the help of the teacher. The hostel is not very good; rooms are very small and having two students in a room is very uncomfortable. The mess is not regularly open because fighting is the rule of this host, so one should either make his own food or go out to eat food.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful towards students and they are well qualified in math; actually, Ph.D. holders were the teachers and they have about 10 years of experience teaching math. The teaching quality is very good. This course curriculum is relevant because, after this course, a student can be a teacher or a mentor. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 90% for this course and there were yearly exams in the college, which were not so difficult. A student who takes his course seriously and reads every day should pass the exam.
Other: I want to become a teacher in the field of mathematics; that's why I chose this course. The best part of this course is that the teacher was very impressive and well experienced so he clarified all our concepts very well. The timings should be better for this course; the class timings must be changed for the ethos course. There have been many events in the college over the past year. The campus is very good and big; there are three fields on the campus and lots of departments, about 100. There was also an auditorium in the college where all the programs were organized.
