If you really want to excel in your engineering career I suggest to opt for some better college.

Placements: 40% of students are placed through on-campus and 20-30% through off campus. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, HCL visit for on-campus placements. Average package is just around 3.6-4.5lpa and not more than that and hence students here try for most of the top companies through off-campus.

I am satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered to the students was 10 LPA. Students got placed in good companies in Bengaluru and some other places. The salary package offered in our college was 4 LPA. About 70% of the students from our course got an internship. Every year the outgoing batch will get placement in our college.

It is a good college with good infrastructure and poor placements.

Placements: Placements in college are poor. None of the good companies visited the campus for placements. There is much of partiality, inner influence, etc. I recommend not to join this college keeping placement as the main target. Companies visiting the college are not even a handful. None of the core companies visited the campus for placements. The salary package offered was around 2-3 LPA. Internships were not allowed here. The worst part is that academics are more important than internships.

Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot, MCA department.

Placements: Leave about placement. I have done MCA course that itself is not listed above in the course list and now you only think of placements. (course was a mandatory field, so I choose BE CS). Only TCS company used to come and more IT students, non-IT students are recruited in the college.

My perception and experience of BEC.

Placements: The placement is not that good, and administration of placement is okay type. We can't expect much from placement department, other than TCS. It has many rules, and we need to pay money before and after placements. It is better to opt for other colleges and get off-campus placements.

Good at reputation, but doesn’t deserve it.

Placements: A good number of students were placed with a handsome salary, but when compared to other colleges, our college campus is poor. We hardly get finger count companies for placements and that too IT based companies and the branches like mechanical, automobile, industrial production hardly get to appear for core company placements. So, the students from these branches also prefer to go for IT companies without having an option.

The college is average but needs to improve a lot.

Placements: The placement isn't that great. In fact it is poor compared to many other colleges. The highest salary offered was around 3.5 lakhs per annum. The companies that visited are TCS, GlobalEdge, Tech Mahindra. The roles offered varied based on individuals performance in training. The number of students getting internship is way too less. The exposure that students get at BEC is way less compared to other students we compete with. Even if anyone gets internship, most of the times it is unpaid. ...

Dissatisfied with placements, but knowledge is wealth and pretty good infrastructure.

Placements: Placements play a good role in identifying the college, but the placement cell and the placement officer here has no value. Only two or three companies offer the placement in this college like TCS and Mindtree. The placement cell has to develop a lot. Brilliant students do face problems like they are being pushed into a herd of sheep.

An average college as many colleges in India

Placements: The placements are okay but we don't get placements for core branches like for civil, mechanical, and E&TC. We all get placed for a common company like TCS or Tech Mahindra irrespective of our branches. The teaching is good but the equipment provided is not up to the mark with respect to the present technology.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, poor management and teaching methods.

Placements: It was average. The minimum salary was nearly 3.2 lakhs per annum and the maximum was nearly 5 lakhs per annum. Companies like TCS, Global Edge, Tata Materials and BEL visited. I think no student went into the internship. The biggest company that came was BEL. It offered nearly 8 lakhs per annum and selected 5 students, This was the first time BEL came into our college. Roles like software engineering and production engineering were offered.

It’s a Good old college with good lab facility in civil dept. and even the faculty is very good. The only problem I went through this college during my process of study was with the admission office members. U can’t expect a posh life over here if u want a posh environment.

College has a good and qualified lecturers but it lacks with management which rarely concentrates in development and placement of college. College lies in the city of Bagalkot which gives very less exposure to students of college in all views. The college isn’t student friendly. National level technical fests are not conducted. If you are just looking for a college degree with no entertainment and no technical events then you can join the college.

Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot.

Placements: From the Computer Science and Engineering branch, approximately 70% of students got placed this year. The highest package was 15 LPA, the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. The top recruiters this year were Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and LG. The highest package of 15 LPA was offered by TCS for the role of Software Engineer.

College is good but it's mainly a money centered college.

Placements: About 40% of students were placed. The highest package is 6.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS and Bosch. The selection also depends upon the student's potential. The companies that are recruiting conduct their own exams so marks mainly matter there to qualify.

I am dissatisfied because of the placements in 2019. It has a great infrastructure.

Placements: Almost 30% of the students got placed. Placements in our college are too low, and most of the companies which visited were fake. There is no good internet connection for placement aptitude exams. The highest salary package offered was 3.25 LPA. Most of the students got rejected by the company they visited. TCS and many more are the top recruiting companies of our college, but they offered the least salary package. Students are offered roles as a programming aspirant. In our course, the highest s...
