Bengal college of engineering and technology.

Placements: The only thing the lacks in my college is placement and job opportunities. Being a government college, my college administration donot give stress on the placement procedure. Though some companies came for their drive for the students of CSE, IT, and ECE, the companies were e-clear, oracle, techmahindra, tcs and more. All these companies offer an average package of aprrox 3 Lacs.

Good college in Durgapur and scores a good rank in West Bengal.

Placements: Placements depend on various features like your score in exams and also the number of companies visit is increasing on a good record The average package is around 4.5lakh per annum Also different companies like Hitachi and Mahindra are on a regular visit to this college.

Not for all the branches of engineering.

Placements: The placements are below average here in BCET. All the students of B.Tech are either searching for jobs on their own or have some family business. Many companies came but with very low packages, and the roles offered were of executives and same as some trainees. There was very low scope for internships. Almost zero industrial exposure.

Good infrastructure, placements are also bit good.

Placements: This college is good for the average students also. I am pursuing ECE from the 2015-19 batch. Our college's placement is pretty good. Many well-known companies visit our college for placements like TCS, BYJU, Tech Mahindra and many more. The average package of our last batch which was of 2013-2017, it was 2.4 LPA approximately.

Bengal College of Engineering and Technology had poor placements and faculty members.

Placements: The college used to have lots of placements before 2017, and now, only 38 students in the entire final year students got placement by TCS, which used to be above 100. Most of the companies that come here especially IT ones are new and don't have a good reputation, or they are too new. Literally, the placement cell is non-existent.

The college is not perfect all the way but it is good sometimes.

Placements: The placements offered are not good as compared to all the colleges. As we are engineers, we deserve a better job, but we can't get that here. Our seniors got jobs in the campus selection, but many of them were not satisfied with their jobs. They took that job because it is supposed to give a bit of experience about the sector.

Everything is good apart from the placement.

Placements: The placement records are decreased from year to year. From 2011 to 2015, the percentage of placed students got decreased from around 65% to 15%. The only MNC which hires is TCS. In 2015, TCS hired 38 students only for the post of an associate software engineer. Few small companies also come for placement, but those are of no use as some of them are fake, or some will give very low salary. The college does not provide internships. Only the students have to complete mandatory training from any co...

BCET - The faculty, administration and placements are good.

Placements: Only 6 students are placed in the final year. L&T is the single company where 6 of our friends got placed. This is the worst engineering college in West Bengal. CS and IT batch got placement from TCS and 1 or 2 more companies, but this is a nightmare college for core engineering departments.

Really good infrastructure, but the faculty members are not up to the mark.

Placements: Some of my seniors were placed at good companies and some in average and some newly growing companies. Almost 70% of the students were placed according to my knowledge, this year. As I know the highest salary which was offered was 6.2 lakhs per year. Companies like TCS, Amazon, Bentley, BYJU'S, Tech Mahindra, Think and Learn, Collabera, Asilicom, etc. Almost good posts are assigned to the new employees or the students. There is a placement cell also.

Moderately satisfied by my college.

Placements: The placements of the computer science branch, IT branch and the ECE are good. Here, the core branches are not getting proper placements and packages are not too good. Sometimes joining is not there even after recruitment. The core branch students are also getting jobs in marketing companies, so we can say that a good placement is only in the IT sectors.

Good stereotypes are running the administration and the students well, and they are the same.

Placements: The placements are moderately good with the major employers being TCS, Tech Mahindra, and the other popular companies like SAP Labs and BYJU's(this comes for BDA only) hire the students. The smaller or less popular companies come in for the recruitment over an average that is around(less than) 50%.

Dissatisfied with the poor college facilities and placements.

Placements: The college invites some IT firms, but most of them are BPO companies. For core branches, there are very few companies, and that too pool campus. For the mechanical engineering students, there were only two companies namely Neometallics and Manlift Pvt LTD. Others companies like Asahi glass LTD were held in other nearby colleges for pool campusing. The highest salary package offer was from Byju ( 7.0 lacs per year ) after completion of training. Other companies offer package from 1.8 LPA to 3.5 ...

My college is the best for the technology students.

Placements: The placements of the college are the best. Many big companies offer campus placements. A huge package is offered to the students. Biju also visits the college for recruitment. Minimum package offered is nearly 3.5 LPA. The maximum salary offered was 9 LPA in Biju company which is very good.

Only the infrastructure is good and nothing else.

Placements: In the previous years, the placement status was moderate. But now, it is worse. Very few companies give a visit and almost select nill students. Mostly TCS, Genpact, SAP and BYJU are some of the companies which come every year with a CTC of Rs. 3 lakhs at an average. The college doesn't provide any of the internships. We have to search for them on our own. The placement cell is not at all efficient.

It is one of the top private colleges in Durgapur.

Placements: For IT sector like TCS, Infosys, etc. on-campus placements take place. The average salary package offered to the students is 3 LPA. But the placements are very poor for the mechanical department. No placements are present in core sector even for 2015-2014 batch. But many students got jobs in the off-campus placements. The college gives us freedom in internship and training in core sector like DPS, DSP etc.

An average college in Bengal.

Placements: The college provides very less opportunities for student. The placements for the core branch are very less and the placement training is not working well enough, so the students are not getting jobs in their core company.

The best college for engineering.

Placements: In this college, placement is very good. Almost 80% of the students got placement from different companies like Scope. The lowest package offered is 5 LPA, and the highest package is 30 LPA. There is also a placement cell in this college which is also very useful and helpful.

Overall, I may say that my college is good for engineering

Placements: Many companies came to our college. Several multinational companies came here for placements and take students according to their need. Overall, we can say that a good number of companies came and take students according to their need. So, the placement is good here.

Bengal College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Few companies came with the motto of highering one-two people, training and placement officer tried to showcase that they want to bring good company and place the maximum number of people but its all bluff as they were concentrated only on the pool campus. Pool campus was organised, and students also went, and because of their merit, they also get success, but success didn't get changed into result because our training and placement officer did not bother for the same. This is really a good college to study.

Placements: I am in the 3rd year, so I haven't attended the placements till now. But for my seniors, I had seen placements were very well in the college. Many companies like Mahindra, Wipro, Amazon, Byjus, TCS etc. visited my college. 45% to 60% students were placed. Most of them are from CSE and IT department. Highest package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 2.5 LPA. Students get a job offer in every department in every company. It depends on the student's talent. 50% of the students got internships ...
