A lot to be achieved by BCET.

Placements: Placements of the college were quite decent with most companies from IT background, recruiting students with an average pay of 3.3 LPA. A number of core companies visited our campus. On an average, 70% to 75% students were placed on campus, and others managed to get jobs through off-campus.

Good placements till now. Really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements were good enough for my senior batch. Almost 50-60% students were placed. The highest salary offered was about 8 lacs package per annum and the lowest salary offered was about 2.5 lacs package per annum. Many good companies visited the campus like TCS, Bentley, etc. including many others. I don't know till now what kind of roles are offered to students, but If I get to know, I'll surely inform. 40-50% students got the internship from college. No idea about the highest, lowest and aver...

Overall, an average review as it doesn't give satisfactory placements for the civil and mechanical.

Placements: The placement of the college is the best for the CSE, IT, ECE, EE, and EEE, but moderate for the civil and the mechanical. The highest package offered to the students was about Rs. 10 lakhs in the Google, while the lowest package offered was about Rs. 1.5 lakhs in the Manlift. Most o the students scored between 7-8 CGPA. Last year, the placement package offered mainly ranged between the Rs. 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs.

Overall, it is a good college.

Placements: The placement of our senior in the present year is good from the previous year. But the placement of the mechanical, civil and electrical engineering in B.Tech is very bad in this college. In the last year, the placement was very bad. But this year, a new principal took charges. The placement is good for the department of information technology, computer engineering, and electrical and electronic engineering. But the placement of this college is very bad for the core department students.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, quite good placements. The infrastructure is not bad.

Placements: Good placement for impressive students. Students with knowledge rather than SGPA are preferred. Seniors were placed good. Percentage of placements was about 15% to 20% for the students of CSE branch. The highest salary offered was about 9 LPA to 10 LPA. Amazon, Biju, Tech Mahindra, TCS and other famous companies visited for on-campus recruitment.

Below average, not recommended for engineering

Placements: The placement is average for computer science and ECE departments and below average for other departments. The average package for CSE, IT and ECE is 3-4 lakhs and the highest was 6.4 lakhs. Other departments like ME and Civil don't have much scope for placements. Companies like TCS and other MNCs also come to this college but rarely.

A good college but sometimes seems average like other colleges

Placements: The placement of this college, we can say, neither bad nor too good. Approximately 388 students got a placement among CE, ME, EEE, CSE, IT, EE and ECE branches. The average package was 6.5 LPA by Think and Learn. The most often visiting companies were Amazon, L&T, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. The internship facility is good Overall, all the branches have a chance to get a job.

Bengal College of Engineering and technology.

Placements: The placements at my college depend upon the merit and talent of the candidate. Companies such as TCS, Amazon India, Tech Mahindra and Byju's visit for seeking proper and eligible candidates. Record of placements for my branch in the past 5 years is 30-35% on an average. Others opted for off-campus and their startups. Rather than the placements, the placement cell of our college is supportive and help us for our interviews. The placement in our college depends upon how the candidate has groomed...

Dissatisfied with college due to its management, faculty and poor placements

Placements: Average placements for the 2017 pass out batch with maximum students placed in BPO or business development services or in call center. Nearly 30-40% students were placed in 2017. The highest package was 5-6 lakhs (CTC) while the lowest was below 1 lakh. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Think and Learn, Thyrocare and IT sector small regional companies visited this year. These companies almost provided roles of BPO or call center and some IT sector companies provided good roles. About 10% of ...

Our college deviated due to new faculty but it is good in terms of infrastructure

Placements: It was not too good but we can say that it was average. The placement was in my college was based on only communication skills. Approx 40% got placed. The highest salary: 5.0 LPA (1 student). The lowest: 1.4 LPA. The average: 1.8 LPA. Except for Tech Mahindra and Bentley, all are BPO companies (Think and Learn, Amazon, etc.) All came for call center and tech support profiles. The internship: 4-5 (8,000).

Best college for MBA for a low course fee.

Placements: Few MNCs visit every year. For example- Standard Chartered Bank, Citi Bank, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini. Placement in other companies is also offered by the college as the college is maintained by SKS Group of Institutions. Very good placement is offered to the IT students. For MBA, few companies from the manufacturing sector come for placement.

The place is good to be if you are a mediocre ranker in the WBJEE and want to grow well.

Placements: Almost 40 percent of the students were placed. Mass recruiting MNCs like TCS, L&T, Syntel were the major recruiters. The highest package was Rs. 8.4 LPA offered by the Indian Navy to a student from my batch. The average was Rs. 3.5 LPA. Almost all the roles were for software engineers barring some.

Not fully satisfied with the college

Placements: Placements of my batch are average but placements of software students are good. 50% students are placed in companies with small packages. There are many companies like Tech Mahindra, Bentley system, Assi Glasses, BYZU, etc. No company comes for core students with high packages.

Placements: The placement for core branches is very pathetic but for non-core branches, it is good enough. For core branches, below 5% got placed and for non-core branches, more than 70% students got placed from the campus recruitment. The average salary was 2 lakhs, the lowest salary was 1.2 lakhs and the highest was 3.26 lakhs offered at the time of placements. This college is one of the best.

Placements: The placement record is very good. The placement percentage is 70-75%. Every year, different companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, CTS, Syntel, Google, etc. come here to hire students. Around 50% students got an internship project from the college and their average stipend is Rs. 5000.

I am absolutely dissatisfied in terms of placements and education.

Placements: Overall placements for this batch were really poor. Very few companies visited for on-campus drive such as Tech Mahindra, Bentley, Think and Learn and others which were not so good. Tech Mahindra took only 11 candidates from our branch. Overall 30-40% students were placed from our college.

Poor placements, terrifying faculty.

Placements: Tech Mahindra was the only proper company that conducted on-campus drive with a proper job designation and pay packet and even they picked up just 16 students. The rest consisted of local, unknown companies or companies like Amazon coming over here to hire B.Tech graduates for BPO.

BCET- Good faculty, extremely good infrastructure, average placements.

Placements: Placements were average. Though I got placed, many of my batchmates were unable to get the placement offer. Placements are increasing every year. TCS is the mass recruiter, recruiting around 100 students every year. Apart from TCS, Tech Mahindra and Syntel are other major recruiters here.

Overall, our college is best place to nurture talent.

Placements: In our college, the placement is meant only for IT industries. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro and Swadesh used to offer campus placements. Some pharmaceutical companies also visited here but I do not remember the names. Core companies rarely visit here. L&T used to come but it barely recruited anyone.
