Bad year to graduate- 2018.

Placements: For all the students who graduated in Electrical Engineering in 2018, Only two students got selected from a batch of 72 in the only company that visited our campus with an annual package of 2.5 Lacs. There were no internships or other companies visiting for core jobs.

The college has stress free culture and good infrastructure.

Placements: The placement scenario of the college was kind of monotonous. The average salary package offered for the batch 2014-18 was nearly 3 LPA. If I talk about our branch (electrical), the number of students was around 70. The mass recruiting company at that time was TCS. There were also other companies like Ambuja, Mahindra, along with some banking sector companies.

Good institute but requires many changes.

Placements: Placements were not good. Very few companies visited the campus like TCS, Vedanta. The package was 4 LPA. Very few students opted for placements. There is no provision of internship from the institute. Students have to complete two month industrial training and they have to approach any company for training by themselves. There is a training and placement office which manages the placements.

A good college for average students, but students have to work hard for good career opportunities.

Placements: Most of the students got placed in IT companies such as TCS. Hardly any core company visits the campus. Most of the students opt to prepare for competitive exams such as GATE and CAT, and a majority of them get a good grade and an opportunity to join IITs and IIMs for postgraduation. They also get placed in PSUs. So overall, it is a good college, but it is above average for mechanical engineering aspirants.

Review of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg.

Placements: Around 40% placements are achieved. Companies that visit the college mainly offer IT profiles. The average package offered is 3.5 LPA. The college has a very weak placement record, and it needs to be improved. Other than this, the people also get selected for government jobs as it is one of the premier institutes in Chhattisgarh.

The college is decent in academics, but it needs improvement.

Placements: The college is known as the best private college in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. The salary package ranges from 2 LPA-5 LPA. The average package is around 3.5 LPA. Major recruiters are cognizant, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Merchant Navy. The strength of the batch is decent, so there will never be a problem with placements.

An average college with good infrastructure but very low placements.

Placements: Seniors as well as this batch (2016) placements were very low. In fact less than 5%. Mainly companies come for CS and IT branch. TCS came in and took students in bulk with avg CTC around 2.5 Lacs from different branches. Student were dependent on thereselves only for internship. Placement cell is there but hardly useful.

This is moreover like a school, and I didn't feel like I am in a college.

Placements: Only CSE students get placed on the campus, and the students of other branches like civil or mechanical are not even thinking that they could get placed, and they already started preparing for the various competitive exams. This is the reason that the final year students never go to college as they just prepare on their own.

Dissatisfied because of bad placement, bad living condition, no industrial exposure.

Placements: For the mechanical engineers, no I should say for the core branches placement is pathetic, only software's will visit the college that too rarely. So do not depend upon the college, instead prepare for the competitive exams like GATE CAT etc. During my last year only one core company called for written test and then interview that too in Bhopal and no one was selected. Then comes TCS company which took 18 students only but the college stats are 90% students are placed. The average salary is 2.5 ...

Placements: Mostly CSE and IT students of the college get a job on the campus placements. The ratio of placements is a very low as there are no placements for civil students. A few core companies visit the college for all the branches, and there is less guidance about internships programme. There is also no industry visit programme from the college side to students.

The review of Bhilai Institute of Technology college.

Good college but it only supports academics.

Placements: There were many companies which arrived for the placements. In our college, the minimum package offered by the companies was 2 LPA to 2.5 LPA. In the survey of my batch and my seniors batch, around 60 percent students got placed in this campus drives, which is good.

It's the best college of CSVTU. Others are even worse as they lack the good quality of students.

Placements: The placements are not up to the mark as it doesn't have placement for the core sector. Some IT, BPO and insurance firms visit, and TCS is the prominent one. However, since 2017, TCS is also recruiting very few students, and that number is not even in two digits. So, most of the students are engaged in the preparation of various competitive exams.

If you are a below average student and want to achieve something in your life, then you can join it.

Placements: The technical companies come, but only a few, however, BPO companies number is more. The average package offered is 1.5 LPA, the highest is up to 5 to 6LPA whereas open campus information is also provided. It is up to the capability of the student to get selected. And, due to the lower package, most of them don't even join after getting placed. Then also, more than 50% of the students get placed every year. Companies like Epic Research, CINIF Technologies, Researchinn, etc. Apart from this, ther...

If you are preparing for GATE, then this college is good, otherwise choose any other college.

Placements: On a scale of 5, I will give this college 1 out of 5. The placement is very poor. Only 15 to 20 students are placed in a batch with an average package of 3 LPA. The highest package offered in this year was 4.8 LPA. So, if you are planning to get placed through UG courses, this college is not for you.

Still got no clue, why I was at this college.

Placements: Ther are no placements provided as we were the first batch of this college. Still, struggling with the career as my father is not that rich who can provide me more money after spending Rs. 7 Lakhs in this college for no reason. I don't know the conditions nowadays in this institution, but I regret doing engineering here.

Review for best engineering college of Chattisgarh- BIT Durg

Placements: Generally, the companies visiting here are of computer science/IT domain. So the students other than these branches find it hard to get themselves placed. Some of the companies visiting here for placements are TCS, Infosys, Webdunia, etc. The highest package offered is around 6 lakhs pa.while the average package goes around 3-4 lakhs pa with TCS being the mass recruiter.

Absolutely a rubbish college for engineering.

Placements: The first and the foremost thing about the placement in the college is that they are not going to bring any big companies for recruitment. The companies which are going to come, are only for back-end support. You won't get any placement assistance, which the management clearly lags. TCS and Capgemini are the only significant ones, that will visit here and also they have their own criteria. These companies conduct recruitment which is open to all colleges, so you are going to face a lot of competi...

Average college in Chhattisgarh.

Placements: I think in BIT, placements are not good because some of the companies come and take the students but the salary is not up to the mark. For placements in BIT, I prefer just to sit for my experience, not for the job.

4 years passed with bad and good experiences.

Placements: Placements are not good in the civil engineering branch. No core companies have come till date. Although so many IT companies had come and about 60 percent students are placed with at maximum 4 LPA package. Also, our seniors didn't get any core company. The highest package was 4 LPA and the minimum package is 1.8 LPA. Business analyst, post coder, call centre and BPO like roles are offered. 1 in 100 gets internships from the college.
