My college, the elegance, the legacy .
Placements: My batch was in 2021, and in mechanical, 70 percent of the students got placed. The highest package in our course was around 18 LPA. The average package offered was around 5 LPA and the lowest package was around 3.3 LPA. Around 40 percent of the students got internships in the 7th semester.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and hostel was good. Wi-Fi was also pretty good and the labs were equipped with high-end machines and technologies. The facilities available in the hostel were also of decent quality. Medical facilities, sports and games were also made available to us.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were highly qualified; they were helpful and contained a good amount of knowledge. The teaching quality was also of good quality. The course curriculum was designed in such a way that it helped students become industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I was passionate about my stream. The events were also very good and happened annually. Extracurricular activities were also very good.

Faculty is good. Placement, infrastructure and events are also good.
Placements: In mechanical, around 60% of placements are done in various companies like Wabag, Tata Consulting Engineers, JSW, IBM, etc. For one year, we'll be graduate engineer trainee and afterwards, we'll be promoted to senior engineer. Some IT companies will also come.
Infrastructure: Classes are good not that well for mechanical but quality of teaching is top-notch. Hostel food is the worst. Sports are pretty good. Every month, some tournaments starts. Hostel facilities are good except food; everything is fine. Hygiene will be maintained on a daily basis.
Faculty: All the teachers are Ph.D.s, and earning marks is quite easy in CGU. Feels is a little bit overpriced but it's good. College will keep you busy by giving you many assignments, experiential datasheets, vivas, mid-semester exams, projects, and labs. But you will enjoy it.

CV Raman Global University’s review.
Placements: Only 20-30 % students get placed. The highest package offered is around 8 Lacs and the lowest package is about 3 Lacs. Recruiting companies include Bosch, TCS, Cognizant, Mahindra Tech, Mahindra Auto, etc. The students apply for internships on their own as the college doesn't provide any internship opportunities for the students.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are fine, but the labs are not maintained well. Wi-Fi is not available everywhere, the library doesn't have any AC making it difficult to sit and study during the afternoon. The hostel facilities are also average, the Wi-Fi doesn't work in the hostel properly, and it didn't work at all for straight 2 years. The food quality is average and it is deteriorating over time. All the dishes in the dinner taste the same and there is very high usage of oil and not good quality raw materials are used to cook food. Medical facilities are another useless thing in the college, the doctor isn't even serious about what you're going through, either they give you bandaid or a cough medicine or they take you to the AIIMS hospital. Sports and games happen but a very limited number of people play because of lack of proper facilities and coaches.
Faculty: The teachers are all either Ph.D. holders or currently pursuing Ph.D. Their teaching quality is good in our department. Don't expect it to be at the level of IITs or NITs. The course curriculum is almost same for all the colleges in Bhubaneswar, so there's nothing to complain about it. From 3rd year onwards, your exposure to industry related knowledge increases, before that, it's just for your basic knowledge and understanding what you've studied in your 10th-12th. The semester exams for our department are pretty much difficult compare to the other branches, since the strength of the students is less, so the papers are set pretty difficult. You need to get 80% or above score to have good marks. The passing percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this course because I have a very keen interest in Automobile since my childhood and I want to pursue my career in the same. The best thing about my course is that you literally enjoy while working unlike other corporate job employees who just sit in a chair and type on the keyboard all day. The course has a very important role in your day to day life and will help you in critical conditions. A dedicated subject for Automobile Engineering is much needed from the 1st year itself, which will make the base of the students more rigid. There aren't much events or here. There is one annual event which is called ‘Celegance’, other than that, you have Saraswati puja and roshni nights during diwali, that's all, don't expect much. The connectivity is a big issue for this college because if you're living in the hostel and have to catch bus or train early in the morning or late at night, there aren't any public transports available, and even if available, they will charge you too much. Even in normal daylight you'll face difficulty in finding an auto rickshaw. Your only choice is Mobus for which you have to wait on the highway under the sun. The campus surroundings are very under developed, it's nearly a village area, you won't find any good restaurants or shops in the area.

I would recommend joining this college for a better and more secure life.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Siemens, etc. Around 35% of students got placed in our course. RSB Global selected 5 students for a trainee engineer. The highest salary package offered by Seimens is 7 LPA to freshers. The average package offered is 3.25 LPA. We got internship opportunities in SAIL. We have summer internships for one month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. All branches have their separate buildings. They have separate laboratories. Wi-Fi is good. Its speed is around 300-500 Kbps. The hostel facilities are for 1st-year students only. It provides good and fresh food. All plates are clean. The dining is clean. Medical facilities are not good. First aid is available in the medical room.
Faculty: Teachers are a bit helpful. Most of them are from local areas, so they use their native language Oriya, which is difficult to understand by outsiders. The course is relevant to the industry because our teachers provide good practical labs. Semester exams are not much difficult. Many questions come from the class notes. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I opted for this course because it is an evergreen branch, and I want to do software jobs. Nowadays artificial intelligence is used everywhere. Our college should provide an artificial intelligence course. Fests and events are held every year in the winter season. The crowd is more. Extracurricular activities are held in our college. Our college conducts industrial visits. Our college conducts sports and games like cricket, football, etc., in February every year.

Good college but not for everyone.
Placements: In my course, 60% of students got placed. The highest package was 11 Lacs, and the average package is 6 Lacs per annum. The top recruitment companies are TCE, Bosch, Mahindra, and Cognizant. 80% of students got internships in Bosch, Tata, and TCS. The fields of interest include automobile engineering, vehicle design, manufacturing line, assembly line, and quality control.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are fine, so no problem there. The library is non-AC. Labs get very warm during sunny days. Hostel facilities are not that great - Wi-Fi doesn't work, there's a drinking water problem, the food quality and menu are not good, not according to the price that we are paying.
Faculty: Faculty members are good with Ph.D. degrees; they're well-qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is almost the same as any other college in Bhubaneswar, so can't complain about that. The last semesters are industry-ready, but the earlier ones are just for knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult.

C.V Raman placement is slightly better than GITA. You can refer to MHRD NIRF rankings for that. Initially all the branches of engineering are allowed to sit for placement in core sector and that gives a different statistics in placement of mechanical engineering.
