What is CGC JOSH?

CGC Jhanjheri Open Scholarship for Higher Education (CGC JOSH) is a Scholarship test for higher education. Candidates who are seeking for financial assistance to pursue higher education in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Computer Application, Jorunalism or Science courses must appear for the exam. The scholarship is provided for the UnderGraduate programmes only. The CGC JOSH Scholarship is distributed on the basis of the points obtained in the exam.

Q:   How many times is CGC Josh test conducted in a year?

A:

CGC Josh exam is conducted twice in a year. The first stage of CGC Josh exam is conducted from December to May end and the second stage of CGC Josh commence from June till August end. Candidates registered for CGC Josh must schedule the exam within the 15 days from the date of registration. Candidates will not be permitted to re-schedule the exam after 15 days.

Q:   Is there negative marking in CGC Josh?

A:

No, there is no negative marking in CGC Josh exam. As per the CGC Josh marking scheme:

  • Candidate will get two marks for every correct answer.
  • No marks will be deducted for wrong answer or not attempted question.

CGC Josh exam will consist of 100 questions, 50 questions in Part A and 50 queestions in Part B. The maximum marks for CGC Josh exam is 200 marks.

The eligibility to apply for CGC JOSH 2024 exam UG courses is 10+2 or equivalent.

Q:   What is the validity of CGC Josh registration?

Once candidate register for CGC Josh, the registration will be valid for 15 days or until the final date to take the exam. Applicant must complete the exam within this timeframe. This rule applies to both stages of the exam. Students may reschedule their exam date only within the 15-day CGC Josh registration period. A second chance to take the exam will only be provided if a student misses their scheduled exam on the first attempt.
