On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at CIET with 75 percentile in TNEA?

A:

With 75 percentile, you can get some normal courses at CIET. High cut-offs are frequently found in popular fields like computer Science and electronics and communication compared to less popular ones. Lower cut-off scores apply to categories such as SC, ST, and OBC since seats are reserved for them. The total applicant pool and their respective test results may have an impact on the cut-off scores. A factor that also matters is the quantity of seats that CIET has available in your selected branch.

Visit CIET directly to see the cut-off scores for TNEA candidates in your desired branch. Visit the TNEA and CIET websites to obtain this information. Your chances are favourable if your score is higher than or almost as high as the previous year's cutoff for the branch you want.

Q:   Can I get into CIET with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Typically, a 12th standard qualification with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) is required to be eligible for courses like computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering at CIET. But as of right now, the precise admission cutoff percentage is not disclosed. The amount of applications and the candidates' overall performance are only two examples of the many variables that might cause the cutoff percentages to change from year to year.

Consequently, even if you might be eligible for consideration with a 70% class 12 score, your final admission status will rely on the particular cutoff for the year you're applying. The most precise and current information on entrance requirements and cutoff percentages can be found by often visiting the official CIET website.

Q:   Can I get admission in CIET for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Your performance on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) exam is the main criteria for admission to CIET's B.Tech programmes. The qualifying criteria are your Class 12th scores; a minimum score of 60% is required. The TNEA exam results you take have a lot more weight in the admissions process. Even with a 60% in class 12, a strong TNEA score can greatly increase your chances of getting into CIET.

Within CIET, there is a significant variation in the cut-off scores for various branches and classifications (open, SC, ST, etc.). Less well-liked fields may have lower cut-offs, whereas popular fields like computer Science frequently have higher cut-offs. Furthermore, the cutoffs for reserved category seats are lower than those for open category seats.

It has good placement rates and good infrastructure of Chitkara University.
Placements: Around 100% of students got placed in our university. The highest salary package offered was 21 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Top companies were Autodesk, Infosys, and TCS. All students got internships. Top roles offered were software engineer and full stack developed.
Infrastructure: Facilities were available like smartboards, computer labs, and Wi-Fi. The quality of the facilities was kind of okay. The necessities were met and it was sufficient. The quality of the food in the mess was average. Medical facilities were also available.
Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful and qualified. Teaching quality was top-notch. The course curriculum was absolutely relevant and helped us get job-ready. Semester exams in our college were quite difficult because of the tough syllabus. All students passed the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my career in the field of Data Science. There was no need for improvement in my course. There were lots of events and fests organized annually like dancing, singing, debating, and public speaking clubs.

It provides good infrastructure and campus.
Placements: As I am in my first year I don't know really about placements. But I have asked the seniors and their view was that, we will be placed here only if we work hard and know programming. It is a private college and have much more students than a government one.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Campus is not that big but is very nicely maintained. There are good spacious classrooms with Wi-Fi connectivity in every room. Library is very useful. We can issue any book we want for 1 month and can get it renewed after that at no cost.
Faculty: Faculty is so. After all, we have to do it ourselves, they will give us path. Teachers are helpful. There are 3 semesters. The difficulty level is moderate, 2nd semester is conducted online, and 3rd semester is conducted offline. Overall exam system is good but sometimes the software of exam crashes out.
Other: Almost 2-3 events are held every month here. There is a very big food court and many places to hang out.

Infrastructure is good but poor faculty
Placements: Only 10-15 % student were placed in our course Highest package 12-15 lpa Lowest package 3-4 lpa offered Tcs, airtel and some new startups 10-15% students got internship in tcs and some new startups Data analytics , web developer , website testing
Infrastructure: Wifi is avalable but not working Labs are small Computers are not working Library is very messy Class room are so small ac's are not working Hostel food is average Hostel guards are to rude Mess food is worst Only infra structure in good in this campus
Faculty: Teachers are qualifies but not helpful for students Poor teaching quality Course curriculum is not relevant in my opinion it is not make the student industry ready Msts are easy but the final papers are very tough Pass percentage is 40-45% but it is not sufficient
Other: Nothing is best in this course No fest for day scholars

I am absolutely happy with this college and definitely recommend it.
Placements: 80 percent of students who sit in placement (students who got backlog or not sitting in placement for whatever reason are not considered here). The highest package is around 20 Lacs but only 2-3 offers are there. Bajaj Finance, Infosys, TCS, and Cisco are some top recruiting companies in my course. A few students got internships in the 6th semester, if I talk about the percentage, it's about 20 percent.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one of the best things at Chitkara University, it is well made and well maintained, it is not too big it's around 70 acres but it is beautiful, all the sports facilities are there like basketball, volleyball, badminton, foosball, pool tables, table tennis, etc. Wi-Fi connectivity is also good, and labs and classrooms are well-equipped. Each and every classroom has a projector and also central air-conditioned. So, they somehow make it worth the money that we pay for the course.
Faculty: Chitkara University is itself a deemed university so they don't need to follow the syllabus of some other Universities, they have their own curriculum which focuses on the course, and there are no useless subjects like Chemistry which is not related to our course like other Universities have, so in this way they are very efficient.
Other: This course (B.E. CSE) is the most crowded course in Chitkara University, there are around 80 students in one batch and there are more than 20 batches, including day scholars and hostellers. NOTE: THERE ARE EVENING CLASSES OF HOSTELLERS FROM 4:10 PM TO 9:20 PM.

Chitkara University - View of an average hostel student.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered was 1.1 CPA in 2023 by Amazon. The lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA. There's not a high percentage of students getting paid internships, but most of them secure good jobs.
Infrastructure: There is clean and good infrastructure. It is a small but spacious university. We have clean classrooms. The class strength is 60 students, barely filling 3 rows completely. Our classrooms are huge. The hostel food is not up to the mark, but it is eatable. Sports facilities are available like basketball, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Irregular exam timings in not preferred by most of the students. There is no proper time for conducting exams. They happen randomly within the semester. Exams are not very difficult. The rest depends upon your level of preparation. Most of the students pass exams.Teachers are audible. They are just fine.
Other: Artificial intelligence is in boom and will provide many good job opportunities in the future, due to this reason, I opted for this course and also due to my genuine interest in coding. Due to the high student intake, the college crowd is not that good. The rest of you should know with whom to spend your time in college. Fests are the best over here, students enjoy the most during these fests. Popular personalities are invited. There is nothing in the college surroundings.

Placements are good here in comparison to other private colleges .
Placements: Our college provides good placements every year. Many big companies recruit from our college regularly, including MNCs. Companies take a written test and interview before selecting the students. Internships are also provided by the college. So placements are good in our course, with an average package of 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are affordable, and all facilities are available like laundry, gyms, etc. Wi-Fi is available for students and faculty members. Classrooms are fully ventilated. The overall infrastructure of our course is good. Food of mess is also good, according to me. Sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Our course is well designed and it gives practical knowledge about industry. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. They are available to help anytime and they support students. Exams are not very difficult. Mentors are also very good in our course. Overall, the teaching quality is good.
Other: The campus is surrounded by beautiful villages.
