Placements: No good companies were coming for BCA in Chitkara. Call centres were approaching a one-room company with no reputation. My uncle is the CEO of a renowned company, and my mentor asked me to place some of the students there. There is no standard for companies coming here. My CGPA was 9.4, and I couldn't sit in the placements because no teaching companies were approaching. Many companies, like Amazon, have also blacklisted Chitkara because of its poor management and level of teaching.
Placements: Only IT companies will come here for the recruitment. All other streams are good for nothing. If you are opting for computer science, you will end up having 2-3 offers with you but life is really tough for all other streams. The average offer here would be 3.5 LPA like every other engineering college.
Placements: There's no clear scenario of placements and placements are too tough. I mean every other company will make super long and hard rounds and even after all this, no attractive pay or workplace! They're literally hiring slaves/workforce to expand their company numbers and nothing more! People just go ahead like sheep and join companies for the sake of it here and later they get laid off because companies don't need them! So even if you get placed, don't get too happy you got placed! You're gonna be...
Placements: Companies coming to the college have a really long process of selection and interviews even if the companies are not nice (according to Glassdoor and general salary and work environment). Few good companies do come but they select 2-5 students out of approx 500. And there is no variety at all in the job profile they offer! All are for software engineering. Few exceptions are there and the college even sends out mail for them but they end up not coming to the college or not selecting anyone despi...
Chitkara Institute of Engineering & Technology is a decent college if you are in CSC or ECE and want to go in IT companies. Otherwise if you are in mechanical or electrical, the scope is limited as far as core companies are concerned, though few IT companies do come for Mechanical & Electrical students. The placement is not 100 % with around 80% for CSC. The faculty is strict and the feeling is of being back in school. There are a lot of rules and it is very annoying.
Placements: There are only a very few MNCs that visit our campus. Most of the time, there are startup companies that come, so it's not good for those students who want placement in better companies. Only a very few students get the package above 10 lacs. Also, our college has taken around 3500 entries of CSE students this year, which makes it more challenging for other students to compete.
