    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Course Curriculum Structuring at Chouksey Group of Colleges

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered about the course curriculum structuring at Chouksey Group of Colleges:

    * Relevance: Some students feel that the course curriculum is old and not relevant to the current industry needs. However, others mention that the curriculum is practical and makes students industry-ready.

    * Focus: The emphasis seems to be more on practical knowledge rather than theoretical concepts. Students are expected to learn through hands-on experience and projects.

    * Exposure: The college provides industry exposure, which helps students gain real-world experience and skills.

    * Semester Exams: According to some students, semester exams are not extremely challenging if the syllabus is followed properly. However, others mention that the exams are somewhat difficult due to lack of study material.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech programs at Chouksey Group of Colleges?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at Chouksey Group of Colleges

    * Inconsistent Performance: According to student reviews, the placement cell's performance varies across branches. For instance, there were no placements in the Civil Engineering branch in 2016, and students did not receive offers until later.
    * Limited Campus Placements: Although some companies visited the campus, the placement cell did not effectively utilize these opportunities. Students often had to rely on preparing for government jobs or relying on family connections.
    * Low Average Package: When companies did offer placements, the average package was relatively low, around INR2 lakhs.
    * Proactive Efforts: However, some students reported that the placement cell made efforts to invite companies and arrange placements. This suggests that the cell is taking steps to improve its performance.
    * Placement Opportunities: Some departments, such as Computer Science and IT, received placement offers from companies like Byju's, Collabera, and Tata. The highest salary package offered was INR10 LPA, while the lowest was INR3 LPA.

Overall, the effectiveness of the placement cell at Chouksey Group of Colleges seems inconsistent, with varying levels of success depending on the branch and program. While some students reported positive experiences, others faced challenges finding employment despite the college's efforts.

It is a very good college, and I suggest you take admission to this college.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Our college invites more than 250 companies for placements, and students get a better experience. Good motivational speakers are also invited here.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good, and the hostel warden is also good. The hostel is decorated very well. Necessary food items are available at any time in the canteen. The canteen is clean and serves good and tasty for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are very intelligent, and they explain in their own words to students. Exams are conducted in the discipline. The course curriculum is very good, and students are studying in the discipline rules. Faculty and HOD are good in our college. There is a personal teacher per subject.

Our college provides the best facilities and good faculty members.
Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed. The salary package offered by Byju's is 1.2 LPA. A top recruiting company of our college is Byju's. Companies like Tata, Mahindra, Plant, etc., visit our college to hire students for an internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our course and department are Wi-Fi, labs, library, etc. The quality of facilities available in our college and hostel is good. The quality of served in a mess and canteen is better. Medical facilities, sports and games are better.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is better. Semester exams are somewhat difficult as they do not provide proper notes and other materials for GATE. So students depend on books.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am very interested in mechanical and technical things. I hope the college should improve the skill development in our course.

    Satisfied only with the degree.
Placements: The placement percentage of my branch is 30%. The highest package offered is 20 LPA by BYJU's. The average package is about 2-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are LG, Wipro, TCS etc. The internship percentage is not good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The classrooms are neat and clean. But labs don't have the latest practical apparatus and gadgets, especially Chemistry and Physics labs. The hostel building is very good, and the rooms are very neat and clean. The mess is average as in other private colleges. Sports facilities are available, and the ground is also available for students to practice football and cricket.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and qualified, but some teachers are teaching other subjects which they don't have command in. Especially in the CSE branch, there are only 8 faculty members. The semester exams are not very tough if you follow the syllabus properly. Teachers focus only on completing the syllabus. You have to study on your own.
Other: I recommend this college if you are a local student and just want a degree. If you qualify JEE or CG PET, then don't take admission in this college. In Bilaspur, there are only three engineering colleges, and one of them is Chouksey. The other two are also the same. The fee depends on your percentage. If you score above 80% in 12th, then the fee is 24,000 to 27,000 per semester for general category students.

The college is average in every aspect of education.
Placements: Our college provided several placement opportunities, but none of the companies was of mechanical background. Most of the companies offered sales jobs, and some of them offered BPO services. The rest were software solutions. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA by the Ed-tech company named Lido.
Infrastructure: Our mechanical department had labs wherein the equipment weren't functional. Only the first-year students had good facilities such as well-equipped classrooms with quality desks, chairs, etc. Food quality in the mess was above average. Sports and medical facilities were good.
Faculty: Teachers were supportive and well-qualified. The teaching quality and style had some serious problems. Students passing out weren't industry-ready as they were still learning some things, which were taught a long time before.

This college provides everything at a low fee structure.
Placements: Many companies visit here for placements. This college provides many placements in the IT sector. The highest salary package offered here was 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course were Byju's, Collabera and Tata. Internships are not good. Apart from that, everything is good, and it is the best college in Bilaspur in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has a Wi-Fi facility and labs, and the library has many books. Classrooms are clean and have smart class facilities. This college also has more than 10 lab rooms, and there are labs for every branch. The hostel has good and clean rooms, and the mess serves decent quality food. Everything is available in the canteen, and our college also conducts many games.
Faculty: Faculty members here are good. They help in providing both theoretical and practical knowledge. They provide us with guidance when we ask, and they are well qualified and experienced. They maintain discipline. The course curriculum is relevant as things here are practical and not theory-oriented, so every student becomes industry-ready.
Other: It is the best college in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh and also one of the finest engineering colleges.

Satisfied with the Faculties and facilities but absolutely dissatisfied with non-relevant course.
Placements: All faculty members of chouksey group of college are very supportive. They always encourage students to learn and innovate new things. T&P cell is proactive and invites numbers of companies to get their students placed before completing their graduation. But Average package offered by companies is quite low, around 2 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, college has separate building for juniors and seniors to prohibit ragging. Gardens between the buildings and a huge playground make the atmosphere of college more joyful. Students develop a sense of sportsmenship during their graduation.
Faculty: Faculty members and facilities are all good. All faculty members are supportive, well qualified and knowledgeable. But the course curriculum is old and not relevant. No one can get benefit by learning those subject matters. It doesn't make anyone industry ready.
