Don't risk your own career, there are so many good colleges, go take admission there but not here

Placements: Placement is not so good. They place students only in the BPO sector. But you can attend many pool campus drives. The placement is getting worse day by day. Only the college location is good. Teachers are not so helpful except for 2 or 3. If you want a job in your domain, this is not going to be a right choice I suggest.

The best college in many fields except placement.

Placements: When it comes about the placement, this institute does not have that much strong training and placement cell. Mainly the companies hire B.tech students and also a few members. For MBA students the opportunities are less. The average package will be from 2.4 LPA to 3.6 LPA. And last year Zycus came with the highest package of 5.25 LPA CTC.

A fruitful learning environment college for engineering with an addition of decent placements.

Placements: The placement scenario is quite good in our college. For the instrumentation department and as well as the other departments, the total percentage of placement is 85% in our batch. But, the placement in core company is not good. The college provides the placements in IT, BPO, customer executive, voice process, Business analyst and software engineer post. In 2017 batch and our previous year batch, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Ericsson, IBM, TCS, Zycus and many reputed and new software, IT company ha...

Dissatisfied because of the infrastructure, facilities, poor placement cell.

Placements: The companies like Infosys and Genpact are coming, but they are hiring for the BPO and KPO call centre jobs. There aren't any core company placements. We didn't get any call letter as of now. The placement cell is very poor. The highest package offered on the campus is approximately Rs. 1.8 lacs. The highest package offered in the off-campus placement is Rs. 5 lacs, and that too is offered to 1 boy only and is only by the communication skills. The companies such as Teleperformance, Bhilwara, Hin...

This college is best for average students. The faculty is good but the placements are average.

Placements: Though the placement is not very high, it is quite good. 25-30% of the students can job through campusing. The college also organises off-campus recruitment for the students. The companies which come here are not highly reputed. Most of the students in my batch didn't join the companies which came here for campusing because the salary was too low. The salary package offered by the company was minimum Rs. 10k per annum and the maximum was Rs. 22k per annum No students got the internship from thi...

Dissatisfied because of placements.

Placements: From my point of view, if you want to study in CIEM, then forget about the placement. Only BPOs visited the campus and the management is very poor. No extra initiative is taken by the management for providing any type of vocational activity or internship.

CIEM Tollygung, its scholarship facility is still the hope of poor family students to grab B.Tech

Placements: Placements of this college are not satisfactory, though mostly all students get placed in reputed MNCs with their own effort. On-campus placements should improve soon for a better future of this college. Our senior batches also having worse campusing only Tech Mahindra visits as a reputed MNC on the campus. But from here, we have got the opportunity to give AIMCAT and Cocubes exams free of cost and from Cocubes, I have got placed in Ericsson.

Good engineering college at a very prominent location.

Placements: The college arranged for the AMCAT examination for the final-year students. Through AMCAT, students got placed in various companies of repute like TCS, Cognizant and Accenture. The prominent company which came for mass recruitment in 2014 was Tech Mahindra. Roles offered ranged from analyst to system engineer.

Average college situated at the heart of Kolkata with average faculty and below average placement.

Placements: Tech Mahindra and HCL came to the on-campus placement drive for the year 2014 and roughly 35 students were placed. Apart from that, a few other small companies came amongst which some were rumored to be fake. The highest package offered in the on-campus drive is 3LPA.

A good accessible learning environment.

Placements: The main recruiter from our college is Tech Mahindra which comes almost every year. It was an on-campus drive. Apart from that, in our year there were several pooled campus placements like Cognizant, Capgemini, Persistent Systems and Ericsson for CS and IT not for ECE. The students were mainly offered roles as an IT analyst or a software Engineer. The highest package offered to the students was around 3.8 LPA and the lowest was around 1.5 LPA. But only IT company Tech Mahindra visited our campus...

Satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: The placement for our batch was not satisfactory. The placement procedure needs to be improved and more companies need to visit the college for the placement purpose. In our batch, almost all the students got placements through off-campus drives. Tech Mahindra visited for placement and there were few more small companies. The college should encourage more companies to visit for placement purpose.

Good faculty members but infrastructure and placements are average.

Placements: 60% students were placed in our batch. The range of salary is 10k -20k. Tech Mahindra, E9 Solutions, Reliance, HCL etc. were companies that visited our campus. Mainly students were hired for sales and marketing and Tech Mahindra hired students as junior software engineers. No one got internships from the college.

Absolutely a proud alumnus of this college

Placements: The placements are quite average in the recent years. Maximum two level-5 MNCs have recruitment drives. The placement cell would give you a lot of opportunities to sit in off-campus drives. If you are hardworking and smart, you will be getting placed before passing out.

Do take admission in CIEM and enjoy your college life.

Placements: Usha Martin, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, CTS, HCL, Captain TMT Bar, Sony Ericsson, etc are the names of some reputed big companies which came for placements last year for different departments and overall, the college placements were 80%. The highest recruitment was from CSE and IT departments and the lowest was from the civil department. Electrical, ICE and ECE departments had average placements. The salary package which students got during placements was average at 1.5-2.5 lakhs per annum. ...

For a good engineering life, CIEM is a good choice.

Placements: Honestly, it's a private college so don't expect lots of campusing from CIEM. Though last year, campusing was good for the CS and IT departments with around 72 percent placements. But for civil department, it was not that good because very few companies came for campusing for the civil department. Electrical department campusing was average, which is around 65 percent. So, in total, last year the placements were around 78 percent. The average salary package is between 1.5-3.5 lakhs per annum. ...

Placements: According to my best knowledge, the placement percentage for this year was 87.5%. I don't have much information about the packages offered, but a good number of reputed companies came. The impression about the college was very good from the placement panel.

Placements: In CIEM, the last year batch i.e. 2016 pass out batch students have been recruited by the many corporate houses like Tech Mahindra, Amazon, CTC, Wipro, SGS, Captain TMT Bar, TCS, Simplex Infrastructure, Mphasis, Innofied, Global Engineering Corporation, Accenture, Sony India Ltd., Syntel, Hind Rectifiers and Usha Martine are the renowned companies which came last year for the recruitment. Absolutely dissatisfied because of uncleanliness.

Placements: In today's world, where getting placed from any college is difficult and placement is gradually decreasing, the placement of CIEM is quite better compared to other colleges. The placement report of the year 2016 is 85.7%. The highest package got by a student is 47,000 per month in Zikers. Instead of that, there are more companies like HCL, Indian Army, Wipro, CTS, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Crescent Technosoft, Microtosh and CISPL which take students in a large quantity. Companies like Infosys , Ea...

If interested in engineering, join our college. Very good faculty and good palcements.

Placements: Our college has average placements. More than 85.7% students get a job in our campus every year. Last year, the highest package of CSE student was Rs. 47000 per month. So according to me even if someone is an average student he or she will most probably will get placed.

Decent placements, good faculty, good campus.

Placements: The placement was decent this year. My seniors got a good and decent job in their respective fields. The highest package was 5.5 lacs per annum and the average was about 3.5 lacs per annum. About 80% was the percentage of students placed this year. Hope this continues in the future for the students' betterment.
