Placements: The college has an average placement every year. In the year 2016-2017, the placement recorded was 85.7 %. The highest package was Rs. 47000 per month offered by Zycus. The lowest was Rs. 16000 per month The college doesn't always provide good placements. However, most of the students depend on pool campusing. IT departments including CSE, IT, and ECE had a better placement this year compared to other fields like electrical and mechanical.

Placements: The placements vary from year to year. My previous batch, that is the B.Tech CSE 2013-2017 batch. had around 70% placement. The highest salary offered was 47k per month by Zycus. The companies which mostly come for placement in the college are TCS, Cognizant, Zycus, Infocom and many more. The lowest salary offered was around 12k to 15k. Placements: In this college, many high salary companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Goibibo and Casio come. Their package starts from 3 LPA and goes to 12 LPA. Our seniors got a job in Cognizant and Casio. Their salary is 4 LPA. In this college, 88% students got placed on the campus. 20% students got jobs from off campus.

Placements: They do not offer any placements here and they just bluff that 80% students got placed and such. But trust me, neither the faculty team is good nor the placements are good.

Placements: The placement in this college is very poor. No civil engineering companies come for placement. The placement officer also does not care about all these things. Many times she is not even found in college. One cannot even complain about placement. Only sales, marketing and call centre jobs are offered to civil engineers.

Placements: Around 80%-85% students are placed every year from all the streams. But the percentage of placement is better for IT, CSE and ECE branch as their job are IT based. But EE and CE students are also placed. Last year around 18.5lacs/annum was the highest package. The average package was 2.8-3.5 lacs/annum. Placements: We all know that nowadays college placements are becoming very poor due to lack of proper jobs and increase of competitive market. But our college has managed to give some placements to well-renowned companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra etc. Out of 120 students in electrical engineering, 39 are placed till now. Placements: 90% students of our senior batch have already been placed. The highest package is about 7.84 lakh per annum. The lowest package is 3.8 lakh per annum. All IT companies like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Infosys come. Many core companies like L&T and Indian Navy also come. They mainly offered packages on an experience basis. 99% students of our senior batch also got internships.

Placements: The placements of this college are very bad. No good companies visit for placement. In 2016, only a few students were placed in Tech Mahindra and the salary offered was not good. The management of this college is not at all helpful during the campus placement. Sometimes fake campus placement happen too.

Placements: Numerous companies have come for hiring talent for our batch as well as for the previous batches. In terms of the quality company, there are only a few. Even top end companies are only introduced via pool campusing. Even, the package is not that high, but not as low either.

Placements: Placements were good in my batch as well as in senior's batch, but year by year it is degrading. Around 55% students got placed. The highest salary offered was 4.8 lakhs per annum while the average package was 3 lakhs per annum. TCS, Cognizant and Wipro were the companies that had come for recruitment. All the students got internship from the college.

Placements: A few of my classmates have been placed but that not in the core companies mainly in the real estate companies. Even our senior batch have not got the proper placement to any core company through our college. We were the 3rd batch of civil department in our college. Placement in civil department is very low yet. The highest salary offered in our department is approximately rupees 20 thousand to 25 thousand per month and the lowest is approximately rupees 5 thousand per month.

CIEM is situated in the metro route and is at a walking distance from the Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station. It has a decent campus for a metropolitan city, having 4 blocks, 2 canteens, a playground and a library. The college offers B. Tech in 5 streams, BBA, MBA and BCA. Infrastructure is not as good as it’s in the prime location in South Kolkata. System is very poor quality. Most of the teachers don't have motivation. One of the canteen's owner names Noton da shows politics among students. He forces to join in his pg. for those who came from other place to study in this college.
