A review of Cochin Institute of Science and Technology.

Placements: Placements in CUSAT were average. Students of CS, IT and EC departments can expect average salary packages in software companies. Majority students of the mechanical and civil departments don't expect placements in core companies from college. Overall, the average salary package offered was 4 LPA to 5 LPA.

I am satisfied by this college.

Placements: Placing in the company depends on you, if you work hard, then you will place in good companies because companies come every year, but they want a good student. I am only talking about computer science, information technology, safety fire, and electronics engineering. In these branches, companies come for campus interview.

Frequent strikes are there in the college.

Placements: Almost all the students who are eligible to sit in the placement decided by CPO get the placement. That was the case with my seniors batch. The highest package offered was 12 lacs per annum, the lowest was 3.2 lacs per annum, and the average package was 4 lacs per annum. Amazon, Olacabs, Verizon, TCS, IBM, etc., were some of the companies came to the campus. As of internship, very fewer companies visit the college. Only TCS comes to the campus. This year, one new cyber company E&Y has come.

Need to improve the facilities of our college

Placements: No one got placed. Only placement dramas happened. Some got selected but at last, they were also rejected. No one was placed with the help of our management. But the management had also brought some companies. I think they also tried but as a starting college, they may also have limitations.

Dissatisfied with how management treats students, no farewell given to first batch of the college.

Placements: We are the senior batch of the college. Only 5 placements out of 150 students in some start up companies. One student in mechanical got places in Toyota. No placement for civil department. Highest payment is of 12k per month. Some got placement as a trainee and customer care executive. They don't even provide proper placement training.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the management that rules the college for money-making.

Placements: There were no actual placements based on our field of study. A few startup IT companies came and selected just 3 of our students from all the students from our college. A few startup companies promised job assurance but later learned that they were cheating. A few IT-enabled service-rendering companies conducted several rounds of interview in the campus like essay writing and group discussion. I, along with 3 of my friends, got shortlisted for final rounds at their office. When we went for the f...
