At present, it is no more in list of top colleges from some past years.

Placements: As we talk about placement the senior batch placement is not good. If we are talking about the overall placement percentage, the computer science department student goes for a good number of placements. The average salary package per annum goes to 2.5-3.0 lacs.

If you talk about private colleges in Uttarakhand, then COER is good.

Placements: Overall, the placement is good in comparison to the other colleges in the area. Recently Adobe visited the campus for the placement drive, while Amazon, Microsoft etc also conducted campus placement drives as well.

Just the mistake of my life- engineering.

Placements: It's a myth for COERians. Except for BPO companies, I don't know whether any technical company came for placements. There was just 1 technical company coming for CS, but till now, they don't get joining letter. The other branch students were sitting idle. The irony is that our TPO left us in middle of the session and our college didn't bother to hire a TPO for us, which was a height of negligence. Our college site is showing 100% placements, but they didn't place a single student from college. ...

Placement record is degrading.

Placements: Placements are not up to the mark, but still, CS students manage to get jobs. In our senior batch, about 40%-50% of the students got placed. The highest package was 4.75 LPA and the lowest was 2.75 and average placement is 3.25 LPA. Major companies that visited our college are HCL, Tech Mahindra, Way to Capital, Infosys etc. Roles that companies offer are mostly taking as an intern to the company. Very few people get internships from the college. Students have to find internships on their own. ...

The quality of education provided is average resulting in demotivation . Students with self motivation can prove their caliber. Excellence comes with confidence and stability. Maintain that and you will excel in every field. Management is not very cooperative. Campus is fine. Cafeteria is also good. Coming to the placements - You have to manage things for yourself. I am placed in TCS ( off campus). So go for exams like AMCAT and Elitmus. They really help a lot.

The library and infrastructure of the college is just average. Hostel facilities are quite poor as the condition of rooms and washrooms are not up to the mark. Rate of students getting placed is quite low and mostly BPO's visits college for the placement drive with an average package of 1.75-2.50 LPA. Faculty is also not very good in terms of knowledge.

My college campus is lush green garden full of trees and beautiful landscapes. Placements are very marginal and non-existent for other branches than CS. Faculty is just average. Hostel is clean but lacks some advanced facilities. Classes are very simple and work methodology is very old-school type.

I would not call College of Engineering Roorkee the best college, but it is definitely the next best thing after IIT-R. The crowd is not that good because you can bump into many narrow-minded people. However, you can easily find one of your kind here. There is so much talent here! Dancers, musicians, artists, poets, writers, athletes, name one talent and you will definitely find it here. The college atmosphere is electrifying during fests. It is one of the good things about this place. The fac...

From the last two to three years, COER has lost its position for which it is known for. If we talk about the college infrastructure, college is good and have well maintained labs. The faculty of this college is also good and very helpful. But if we move toward placements, it was average. Companies like M&M come here to recruit students for only 1 year.

Hello Friends, I am a student of COER, Computer Science branch and this college is good enough as compared to other colleges in Roorkee. Speaking in terms of faculty, it’s very good for CS, IT and EC branch while for other branches the faculty is average. Placement is good in CS, IT and EC branch, but for other branches only a few companies visit the campus. The infrastructure is good, hostels are nice and the canteen and the cafe are also good. Free Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus. Ac...

This college has well equipped labs and a good atmosphere of competition. It is the best private college in Uttarakhand. The college has IIT retired professors. It has good access to bus station and the city. Placements are unsatisfactory.

College is not good nor bad. Few Faculty Members are good but most of them are just crowding the teaching panel. Campus is good. Food facilities are average. Canteen facilities are good. Overall, I say it’s just a fine college. And lastly, I want to say that placement is crap. Just for software branches placement is available for others it’s like mind your own business kind a thing.

College campus is awesome. The hostel and facilities are also good, but the food is very bad. Placement in core streams is also not good for CS and IT, it is average. College image has deteriorated in the recent years. The college crowd is going to deteriorate due to the opening of streams like B.Com. Faculties are average and some of them are retired people also. I will not recommend this college.

I found the college in full sense a great place to learn, apply and develop, thus aligning all our efforts with the goals described. The college is well recognized at the state level and continues to grow. The exposure to the placements was good enough with a fair past track record. The college is known for its infrastructure throughout the state consisting of dedicated departmental buildings and spacious classrooms. The quality of faculty to the best of my knowledge and experience were well qua...

Average college in terms on studies. The faculty members are supportive and some of them are really good, while others are literately terrible. Campus facilities are just about average. In terms of placement its again average with a majority or rather almost all the IT companies.

It’s a good college for gaining knowledge and they gave enough time for self-study. Faculty members are also good. I would recommend this college. The campus is very good as there is a huge greenery in the campus. And the Placement is good for CS/IT as compare to other branches. Faculty is very helpful for giving the knowledge they have.

Good college and much disciplined one at our time. I got campus selected by Infosys and so was 120 other students from my batch. Teachers are strict and punctual. College hostel was also disciplined and facilities were par expectation. Best thing was the maintenance of college, hostel and mess, everything was clean and beautiful. Mess food was good, clean and simple, not very tasty but eatable. I cherish all the memories from there, it was a really good time
