What is CIT MSc CET?
The Coimbatore Institute of Technology conducts the CIT MSc Common Entrance Test in order to offer students admission in five-year integrated MSc programmes which are offered in three specializations - Software Systems, Data Science, Decision and Computing Sciences. Students will have to meet the eligibility criteria before applying for CIT MSc CET. Its essential for a student to meet the criteria as ineligible students will not be allowed to appear for the entrance test. The exam is conducted in offline mode and the duration of the entrance test is 120 minutes. The application form for the five-year integrated MSc courses have not been released yet. CIT MSc CET Admission Process
Candidates will have to follow the below-mentioned admission process for CIT MSc CET 2021 which include the following steps:
Step 1: Fill CIT MSc CET Application Form
As the primary step, candidates need to apply for CIT MSc CET exam. For the same, candidates can either download the CIT MSc CET 2021 application form or can apply online on the official website of Coimbatore Institute of Technology. Thereafter, candidates can fill and submit the form at CIT within 10 days from the date of publication of the Class XII board results. Candidates will have to fill in all the details asked and will also be required to paste their passport sized images. Students now have the option to apply and submit the application form online. Step 2: Admit Card
The candidate will also be provided a hall ticket i.e. admit card. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the CIT MSc CET. The admit card will also have to be sent along with the application form to CIT. Once approved, the candidate will receive their admit card via mail or post.
Step 2: Appear for CIT MSc CET Exam
All candidates who successfully apply for CIT MSc CET can appear for the test at the allotted exam centre as per the prescribed date and time. CIT MSc CET 2021 is a 100 marks paper that candidates need to complete in a duration of two hours. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre well on time.
Step 3: Appear for Personal Interview Round
Once the written test is over, candidates need to appear for personal interview round as per the prescribed date and time. Students will be questioned by the faculty members and will be judged on their marks in class XI.
Step 4: Check Results
Candidates are informed about final CIT MSc CET results once all rounds of the exam are conducted. It may be noted that final selection of candidates at CIT is done on the basis of their combined performance in HSC exam, CIT MSc CET and personal interview round. The results for CIT MSc CET will be announced on the official website of the institute.
