Review of College of Engineering and Technology, Bikaner.
Placements: In our college placement department is not so good so there are no placements in the mechanical, civil and IT branches from last 4 years. Only some companies visit for the CS department placements. The highest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.9 LPA. Nowadays, companies are not interested in recruiting students from government and private colleges, and they only prefer NIT and IITs. Generally, production, manufacturing companies and power plants offer jobs for mechanical branch, and they also want a good score in GATE. In private sectors, IT companies hire CS and IT students. All the students do their internship on their own. We do our internship in companies like Railway Workshop, power plant and steel manufacturing.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide facilities for water. Classrooms are not air-conditioned, and the library is not updated. Furniture is not in good condition. The college does not offer Wi-Fi facilities to students who have mobile phones, and they offer only for laptop users. Computers are not updated, and they are in an outdated version. Hostels do not have a good mess. There are wardens in the hostel, and they know how to handle B.Tech students. Hostel rooms are not clean and very congested.
Faculty: Some teachers have good knowledge, and some are not knowledgeable. Guest faculty members also teach us. There are a total of 8 semesters. None of the teachers completes the syllabus before exams. Teachers do not help students to improve their personality. They do not have knowledge of the industry area.
Other: Events are not organised at our college.

I'm satisfied with faculty. Placements are good here.
Placements: The placement rate was around 70%. Placement rate is high in our college. A lot of companies visit our college for placements. They offer jobs to all the students. The salary package offered to all students is good.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi enabled labs and classrooms. There is a nice library. Medical facilities and hostels are good. There are great facilities for games and sports. Classrooms are fully furnished. There is a smart education system which is good for us.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. They follow an easy method of teaching. We also get industry exposure. The course curriculum is useful.
Other: Events and fest organised in our college are good. Connectivity is good.

Good infrastructure but very bad management and poor placements
Placements: I don't know much about the placement but I can say that very few students get placed every year. Only around 20-30% of the student get placed every year. Very few companies have been to the college. The highest salary offered was about 2.5 lakhs and the lowest was around 1.6 lakhs. There are 0% students who got internships from this college.
Infrastructure: Decent infrastructure which is spacious enough. A Wi-Fi free campus. Classrooms are big and spacious. The library is good but there are not too many books for every student. The medical facility is also not so good. Some labs are good and well-equipped but some are really bad. There is no canteen on the college campus. Some canteens are in some distance from the college but their facilities are not good. The hostel rooms are not that good. The ground is very good.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good and helpful but some of them are very bad. Some are highly educated and qualified so are their teachings. Some don't know how to teach and interact with the students. The management has not sanctioned a single industrial visit yet. The student-teacher ratio is good.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of placements, faculty and also facilities.
Placements: 10 to 15% students are placed from all of them. The placement record is very poor compared to other colleges and companies which offer below average placements. So before taking admission, you should consider this aspect. The offered role is not good as well.
The highest package is below 10 lacs.
The salary range varies from 1.5 to 3 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but there is no canteen facility. No sports facilities are available like a sports ground.
There is no proper lab arrangement and there is no canteen on the college campus.
The hostel room is average and the infrastructure is good compared to other colleges.
Medical facilities are also below average.
In the library, limited books are available.
Faculty: The mechanical department is good while the rest of the departments with respect to faculty members are not good. The teaching level is not satisfactory. The course curriculum is also not fruitful compared to the present scenario.
Mostly, there are guest faculty members and there is no industry exposure at the college level.
Guest faculty members are not good at teaching which is totally a waste of time.

Government expenditure not very useful for the students.
Placements: Firstly, for our senior batch, it cannot be mentioned in a percentage but can be mentioned in numbers. Hardly 2-3 seniors from my branch were placed, and there were around 10-12 seniors from other non-core branches who got the placement, but their package was maximum in 4 digits per month.
Regarding my batchmates' placement, around 15-16 students are placed in a Jaipur-based company with an average package of around 2.5 lakhs per annum.
Last year, L&T, Honda, Ranosys Technologies, technologies etc visited our college for placement. This year up till now, only Samax Technologies and Saint-Gobain have visited the campus.
The students have to search and make an effort themselves for the internship. As per my knowledge, none of the students have got the internship from college. The college just issues a letter in name of the respected company and nobody bothers in the college from where who are going to do the internship.
Infrastructure: The college is well-established with all required facilities like it has a proper furniture, sufficient classrooms, and ample computer labs, but the college administration focuses much less on sports and games. Although all building of college has a very good connectivity of Wi-Fi but unfortunately, only faculty members and the college staff members have the right to access them. The computer labs have all the needed facilities of furniture and Internet with PCs in a good condition. The classrooms are also maintained properly and timely.
The college officially does not have any canteen within the campus, so the students have to rely on other private canteens, but the food quality there is not up to the mark. The hostel and its rooms are fine. Although there are issues of internet connectivity and mess food in the hostel, there is no problem with the rooms in the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty team has ample knowledge and no doubt on their qualifications as all of them are M. Tech. and even PhD holders from various renowned institutes.
Particularly, the faculty members of my department are very much helpful. Generally, the teaching is done with the conventional method of blackboard but some of the teachers also employ the projector and powerpoint presentations to teach us.
The student-faculty ratio is 65:1.
From the college, we never get a chance for the industry exposure.
The course curriculum is alright and useful in view of competitive exams but it needs to be updated a lot for purpose of present trends in industries.
Other: To be very honest, I would suggest the others that the college is very nice and even the faculty members, but due to their personal inter-departmental issues, the students' growth came to a standstill.
So if your aim is just to graduate, you can join it but during graduation, if you also have some fancy things and dreams for an engineering life, then better to join some other college.
Also, with respect to the city(Bikaner), there is not much scope of growth and extracurricular activities in the city.
