Infrastructure of the Cotton College is good.
Placements: Around 60–70% of students were placed in the BSc course. The highest package offered is around 6-7 lakhs. The lowest is 3-4 lakhs and averages are around 4-5 lakhs per annum, if I am not wrong. Top recruiters are IT giants, FMGC and many more. May be more than 10% of students have gotten internships on FMGC. Science students are placed in top companies like Indian Oil and ISRO companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of science departments is really good. There are free WiFi networks inside campus for students. Labs of science departments have separate laboratories for UG, PG and HS students. All the essential equipment is available to support students in their research and experiments. The college has a central library with more than 1 lakh volumes, including reference books. Every department has its own library. Facilities of hostels are average. Mess foods are improving these days. There is a college hospital near hotels for emergencies. For sports, games and other cultural programs, it's very active and impressive. It's really good for students to sharpen their skills.
Faculty: Teachers here are strict and also very friendly and always helpful. There are more than 10 PhD holders who have teaching experience. They use multiple languages to make the students understandable because of diversity on classes. In science courses, the curriculum is regularly updated to ensure relevance. Yes, it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams difficulty level are based on own efforts. Passing percentage for semester exams is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because it will give me a better placement in future. The best thing in botany is that we can know deeply about this earth-living plants and their uses. It would be better if the classroom are bigger. Events held on Cotton University are really best; it's crowded with students. Campus is really close to nature; support eco-friendly things and campus is clean.

It is the most renowned college in Guwahati.
Placements: Sometimes some companies come to hire students from our college. Students do internships from different reputed institutions throughout the country such as IIT Guwahati. The average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 7 LPA by various companies. Almost 70% of the students get placements. The companies give good salary packages. The highest salary package offered goes above 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: CU classrooms have projector facilities, boards, smartboards, etc. As I am a political SC student I never used any kind of laboratory. Libraries and sports centers have all the necessary items, and they are well maintained. But hostels are not well maintained and don't have any Wi-Fi service. Wi-Fi is available only inside the main building.
Faculty: The department of botany has a great panel of teachers and faculty members who are dedicated. You can expect a homely environment with them around you. As said, in any institute, communication between teachers and students is of utmost essential. Here, you will always feel compatible with the faculty members, the rest is your duty is to connect and cooperate. Teachers from every department and are highly qualified and have published reports and papers in many renowned institutes of the world, collaborating with well-known researchers across the globe.
Other: CU is one of the most famous educational institutions of Assam. It was built by the Britishers. It was known as Cotton College earlier and eventually, it became a university. CU is one of the oldest educational institutions of Assam and must say about its eminence.

I am satisfied with the faculty and also with the good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: None of the companies visited our campus for placements. Very few got students got internships from our college in IITG. There is a placement cell, and it is not very useful for our department. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 20,000 and the lowest stipend offered was Rs. 8,000. The other departments were benefited a lot from the placement cell.
Infrastructure: All facilities were available on the campus. The quality of labs and classrooms was good to an extent. The food served is also good. I have no issues regarding the hostel rooms. The university very well manages it. I haven't face any issues regarding the infrastructure of our college. Medical facilities were very good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was very useful. They use projectors, whiteboard and materials to teach. I didn't get any industry exposure.
Other: The college organises many events and fests. Most of us were offered a scholarship of Rs. 30,000per year.

    One of the prestigious institutes.
Placements: Cotton University has a placement cell. However, one can apply for placements after completing their masters. Our university also conducts an internship programme, and there is a good scope for students. The degree offered by our institute is very valuable as it is a government institution and is one of the oldest institutions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. It has a library full of books and journals. Every department which has practical sessions in their curriculum are provided with an extra laboratory. Even the prices of the food offered are low. Our institute provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Our faculty members are helpful. Some of them are inspiring. Faculty members are experts in their fields. Many of them were PhD scholars, and some are working in research activities. They work hard and are supportive.
Other: This is one of the prestigious colleges in northeast India. The college provides a platform for the students to show their talent.
