Our university has amazing professors and campus but weak placement support.
Placements: Only 2 students out of 58 students from our class were placed through campus placements. I was one of them. A few companies visited here for B.Sc biotechnology. The highest salary package offered was 4.1 LPA for the course of B.Sc biotechnology. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Top recruiters here were Life Cell, Zifo RnD, etc. Internships were not provided by our college, except for a few summer training sessions for which they collected the fee from students. Top roles offered by companies through placements were associate analyst and COVID lab technician.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is amazing, with spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories and maintained washrooms. Wi-Fi facility is good in few classrooms and very poor in few classrooms. The laboratories have good quality equipment like chambers, HPLC, spectrophotometer, colorimeter, etc., from reputed brands like Eppendorf, Shimadzu and many more. There is one main canteen on the campus and 2 small canteens. One Amul parlour is also available here, and medical facilities are not up to the mark. Sports like cricket, football, basketball, badminton, handball, etc., are played with ample sports equipment and fields/courts available here. The hostel is huge and has good facilities. Boys and girls hostels are separated by a huge distance. There are different types of rooms such as 2 sharing, 3 sharing and single sharing rooms. Only the single rooms have air-conditioners. The food and water facilities are provided. For Muslims, suhoor and iftar are also provided in the mess during the month of Ramadan. Laundry and Wi-Fi facilities are available in the hostel, whose charges are included in the fee.
Faculty: The real supporters throughout 3 years of the course are professors. They are truly qualified, knowledgeable, approachable and motivated in all aspects. All professors have completed their PhD and post-doctoral from reputed institutions in India and abroad. They don't compromise in terms of teaching. The course curriculum is well-designed to clear the basic and applied level of concepts in biotechnology. But it doesn't make students industry-ready because biotechnology is a vast domain and a bachelor degree in biotechnology is not sufficient to have a good grip on the subject. Opting for M.Sc would be a wise choice to be industry-ready. Semester exams are easy to crack, and their difficulty level is low. Exams are conducted in 2 assessments and one end semester exam pattern every semester, along with weightage of internals and practicals. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: This course is very undervalued in our nation. RnD is a field that can change the entire nation and has the potential for tremendous development. This field enriches students with knowledge and growth. It does not benefit just students but also benefits the entire world through breakthrough research. I wish we were provided with more hands-on training like internships and industrial visits. Our university organises vivid cultural events and fests every semester to celebrate festivals, talents and many more. Extracurricular activities like dance, literature, music, sports, drama, Silambam, fashion, etc., are conducted through the official groups. The crowd is huge, but since the campus is huge, it doesn't cause any difficulty. The campus is surrounded by greenery everywhere and has the Vandalur zoo right next to the university. The connectivity is good through public buses and trains. Both the institute and government provide scholarships to B.Tech. For students who excel in academics, the fee is already minimal, but it is not provided to B.Sc students.

Absolutely it is a good college.
Placements: About 70 students from our course got placed. The highest academic CGPA got by students is 9.0, while the lowest academic CGPA got by them is 7.0. Many well-known companies like Biocon, etc., visit our college for placements. Our college provides good coaching on placements and training on other interview-related topics to help students get placed in companies and helps in higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is best-in-class in our college, and modern amenities are also available here. The hostel is best-in-class, and they are separately available for both men and women and also different for different batch students. Classrooms are highly modern, clean and neat throughout the course.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and very professional. Their way of teaching depends only on English. There are different staff members for different courses and subjects. Teachers are highly talented and have many years of experience. There are teaching faculty members and also other non-teaching staff members in our college.
Other: Students have a good campus life here.

Our college has a top-notch infrastructure and is worth the money.
Placements: I am pursuing UG, and my seniors got placements in different various biotechnology labs, but I don't know more about them. Moreover, around 65%-75% of the students got placements. Almost every student has a chance to get one internship, but some students reject it. I don't know top recruiting companies for our course. Top roles offered here are optional drug design and development, disease management, herbal technology, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available here are very good and inspiring. Classrooms are very nice and have good comfortable chairs. Wi-Fi facility is a little bit slow, and due to jammer, your phone network is also slow. However, labs are top-notch, and the library is very good and huge. The hostel has 3 blocks among which the 3rd block is not good. However, the other two blocks are very much good. The food served in the hostel, canteen and mess is good compared to other colleges canteen. The maintenance of the canteen is very good as its construction is very modern. This college has its own medical centre, along with an ambulance. It also has some huge grounds with spectator accommodation and conducts many sports activities like cricket, etc. Our college has 2X gym, mosque, swimming pool, and this campus highly prone to movie shoots.
Faculty: The course curriculum is based on the Indian education system, and there is good communication between students and teachers. We can indulge in lab practices. There are highly educated professors and friendly staff members. Our college has a good atmosphere, friendly mates, anti-ragging group and good education.
Other: I planned to opt for medicine, but I chose this course. However, this course has a medical background and pharmaceuticals, and after this course, we can do M.Sc and PhD to become a scientist. Everything is good until now in our course. As it is a university, events are organised all the time. Every time, they conduct some events not only in the biotechnology department but also in engineering, architect and law courses. So this college is very active in this aspect, which makes it more impressive. I don't know about the scholarships.

Many students completed internships in laboratories and prestigious companies such as Aavin Food and Dairy Products Limited and Levim Biotech.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides good facilities. Classrooms and labs are good and well-maintained. The lab has rules and regulations. The campus is clean. It has greenery. The food served in the canteen is good and hygienic. The food served in the hostel is not good.
Faculty: Our teachers are good, friendly, and helpful. They clear our doubts. They guide us. They support us during research work. The lab staff members are good. They conduct practical sessions and help us during project work.
Other: They improve our knowledge. The food served in the hostel should be improved.

I am satisfied because of faculty members and good placements.
Placements: In our college, most of the students can get a high percentage in every department. Students who got high marks are offered placements in other companies. Top companies visited our camps. Internship offers are available in our college. Management of our college is also good.
