Satisfied with the college due to great placements, really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements have tremendously increased in the past 2 years. The TNP cell is extremely active and generally, 45-60 companies visit the campus for recruitments. Generally, students from computers, IT and E&TC are placed in a higher number as compared to other branches. This year, for the2017 graduating batch, the highest package was 12 lacs/year from the computer department. The average package is generally between 3.5 lacs to 4 lacs. All major companies visit our college like TCS, Tech Mahindra, ...

An average college with average placements.

Placements: The placements were not that good as 70% of the batch got placed. The companies which came to the campus were Nvidia, Mu Sigma, Flipkart, Persistence, etc. The roles they offered were of testing, development, data scientists. The highest package was 6 lpa. Internships were not compulsory in the college, therefore, the college did not provide any assistance for this.

Overall, faculty and teaching experience is good but placements are not up to the mark.

Placements: Placements are not so good. The placement team just promises and fails to fulfill it. It has a good collaboration with other colleges so it sends us for off-campus drives. But on-campus drives are very few. Mostly, drives are for customer support which is not relevant for our field. Soft skills training, which is beneficial, is provided.

Good faculty and good placements in 2015

Placements: Campus placements are good in IT companies as compared to core (E&TC) companies. A majority of the students gets placed. Multiple MNCs like Capgemini, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, etc come to the campus for placements. A good college for IT and computer students from the placement point of view.

This is a really good college for engineering for average students.

Placements: Earlier, the placement was not too good. But now the placements are going better. During my final year, lots of companies came for recruiting the students and more than 250 students got placed in various companies. The average package the students got was Rs. 2.5 lacs per annum.

Good infrastructure but poor faculty and placement services.

Placements: The placements are not so good for mechanical/production students. There are only a few core companies, but the placement is good for computer students. In our batch, only 10% of the students were placed. Tech Mahindra, TCS, MU Sigma, Thyssen-Krupp, Force Motors came for the campus placement. Executive and analyst jobs were offered to the students. Only 30% of the students got an internship from the college. The highest salary is Rs. 10 lacs per annum and the lowest is Rs. 2.5 lacs per annum.

Bad syllabus, good placements.

Placements: D. Y. Patil is known for its placements. Every year, the placements statistics are improving and almost all the students who sit for the placements get placed. In our batch, the highest package was of 8 lakhs and the average was around 5 lakhs. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, Adobe, Accenture, etc. recruit the students.

Very good college with all facilities that an ideal college should have.

Placements: Campus placement is good in our college. Till date, about 760 plus students are placed in various companies. The average package that I have come to know is about 5-6 lakhs per annum. Students who got aggregate in first class were placed. Different IT companies, core companies had visited our college for campus placements.

Placements: Placements are good in 2016-17. 68 percent students were placed. A maximum number of students placed are from ENTC and mechanical department. The highest package is around 18 lacs. In 2015, the highest package was 32 lacs grabbed by a girl from the computer department.

Feel free to join D Y Patil College of Engineering.

Placements: This year the placement was fairly good. Almost 40 percent of the students from computer science were placed in dream companies. Considering the mass placement, the percent of placed students goes to almost 75. Microsoft and Cisco were two super dream companies that hired in double digits (12–16, I guess). Apart from that, another 10–15 students (mostly GDC, 2 for IDC who did internships) got PPO from Microsoft. The highest package was offered by Amazon (27lakh -> 3 students). Directi (26 lakh...

Disappointed with the syllabus but happy about being placed.

Placements: Talking about placements, our dean Mrs Jasmita Kaur along with her team has done wonders. More than 30 companies have come and 80% of the students have been placed in our mechanical department. In the IT and CSE department also, most of the students have been placed. The average package is around 2.6 LPA. The minimum package is 1.8 LPA and goes a maximum value of 7.5 LPA. (All the packages are under CTC criteria). Companies like Tech Mahindra, Tivago, I-Research, Cognizant, Indian Navy, Force ...

One of the most beautiful colleges in Pune with average education but great placement opportunities.

Placements: The placements in my college were ample for IT & CS students. Those who have 60%+ in IT & CS, surely have a job in hand. The company visiting our college are good enough like TCS also visits our college & some call centre companies also visit. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Ubisoft, Indian Navy, Cognizant, and some more like these recruit the students. There is no placement for the civil branch but our placement team is good. If you have marks and fulfill the criteria of the company you migh...

Average placements. You need to work hard to get a job but you will spend your best days here.

Placements: Honestly speaking, the placements at D Y Patil Akurdi for Civil branch are not up to the mark. I joined the college in 2011 and at that time, the placement was 100% (i.e. all the eligible students were placed) but most of them did not join the companies. This led to less number of companies coming for the placements. In 2015, only 8 students were placed out of 85(only 60% and above were eligible). I was placed at a starting package of 2 lakhs per year. I left that company and now I am working o...

This college is good for degree in core branch and CS,IT, ENTC for getting placement from college.

Placements: Mainly IT companies come to this college, but for mechanical engineering, the companies do not come. This college is good for CS and IT field students and If you study well in these branches, then you will get placed in companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Teradata etc. In Pune University, there is a difficulty to score for getting placed as the score should be at least 60 to 65 percent.

Placements: The placement is average as compared to the total fee of college which is Rs. 1,08,100. Last year, Capgemini hired 107 students from all the departments. For mechanical, 30 out of 60 eligible students get the placement. For IT and CS, 75% are getting the chances of hiring. Mostly every year, companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, and Electromech come. The highest package is 4.6 lakhs and the lowest is 2.4 lakhs annually. Placements: Most of the placements are carried out by service based IT companies like Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra and L&T. Even the students Non-CS and IT background get placed in these IT companies. The percentage of core companies in overall placement is on the lower side. The core companies that visit the campus every year are Kirloskar Group, TVS Logistics, Siemens, Forbes Marshall, Bosch etc. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 5.5 LPA and the lowest salary is close to Rs. 2 LPA. Excellent campus life, average placement but poor faculty.

Placements: Placements are not that great of this college. Chances of getting placed is only if you have scored 60% and above aggregate in all the semesters. Students who have less than 60% aggregate, struggles a lot to get a company for placements. Besides, the TPO isn't that friendly. It is better to do an external course from an institute and get placement assistance from them rather than expecting a good package placement from the college.

College is good. From the point of view of placement, it's good for Computer Science and IT. But not good for core streams and for Civil Engineering. And for Mechanical it’s just fine. Not much core companies have specific placements for our college. For Production Engineering there is no placement in core companies in this college.

The infrastructure and campus facilities are good, not good for placements. Faculty members are not up to the mark, instead there is a lot of politics between faculty members. Placements are average. Pre-placement preparation is also unsatisfactory. Lab instructors do not teach well. Extracurricular activities are one of the strong points of this college. Robotics, aero modelling, quizzing and debating are just a few of the many activities available. College hosts 2-3 fests, which gives them the...
