Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

In the college, admission is based on the MHT CET examination.
Placements: From 3rd semester, we become eligible for campus placement. HDFC Bank, Ramada Hotel, Torrent, Sun Pharma, Lenskart are the few companies. The highest package was 100,000 and the average package is 250,000. Any student can get placement if they are smart enough, but the minimum is 5 CGPA. After getting the degree, I'll go for interviews.
Infrastructure: The annual fest named QUASARS was conducted in the months of January or February, usually! It used to be conducted on the college ground at a grand level! Sports and all other activities were also included. Prizes were distributed as per academic and extracurricular performance! Tech fests were conducted in the month of September right before the 2nd sem exams to brainstorm with students and give them recognition in the institute! I was not at all happy with my library facility! We were provided with course books only, and that too wasn't available in ample supply! I could barely get a book during my exam days because it never used to be available! Classrooms were quite spacious and had good ventilation, but we always had to switch classrooms if the lecture had to be conducted with a presentation because of the availability of network connectivity! Again, I had a very bad experience with sports in my institute!
Faculty: The faculty to student ratio is 10 to 150, including both BBA and MBA. Sir Vipin Mishra is my faculty member; he gives us insights into the corporate world and gives us motivation. Madam Denchokey is my least favorite; she's kind of biased towards students from Sikkim. There is one cycle test, and the other marking is based on assignments and presentations. Lastly, we have the semester exam. There are fewer students who fail to clear the exam—maybe 2 to 4 students.

Supportive environment with strong AI/ML focus.
Placements: Placement assistance has been solid, with a good range of companies visiting the campus. The placement cell works hard to connect students with job opportunities, particularly in teaching, and regularly organizes drives and internships. This has been manageable given the resources and opportunities the college provides for students in technical courses.
Infrastructure: The college boasts modern infrastructure, including well-equipped labs and a library with a good selection of technical books, which has been especially helpful for AI/ML studies. The campus environment is conducive to both academic and extracurricular growth. Student life is vibrant, with various clubs and events that enhance the college experience. The hostel facilities are decent, and the mess provides satisfactory food options, making campus life comfortable.
Faculty: The faculty here are generally knowledgeable, with specific strengths in core subjects related to AI and ML. They're supportive and approachable, although some advanced topics could be better covered. Additional workshops could enhance understanding in niche areas. The AI/ML course curriculum is updated to match industry standards, covering a wide range of subjects. Practical projects, seminars, and access to advanced labs make it easier to stay current and hands-on with learning.
Other: I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies. Here is an in-depth review of my experience.

Excellent infrastructure and vibrant campus life with knowledgeable faculty.
Placements: In Arco, around 85% of students were successfully placed. The highest package offer was 12 LPA. The average package was 6 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys and TCS, with approximately 70% of student seekers interning in reputed firms, such as Wipro and IBM, gaining exposure to real-world projects. The top roles include a software developer and a business analyst. The placement cell was highly supportive, providing training sessions and networking opportunities to help students for placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course includes well-equipped classrooms with audiovisual aids, high-speed Wi-Fi, and modern laboratories tailored to our academic requirements. The library is spacious, offering a diverse collection of books, journals, and resources. The hostel facilities are clean and well maintained with comfortable rooms and 24/7 security. The food provided in the mess is nutritious and varied, catering to different dietary needs. While the canting offers additional meal options, medical facilities, including an on-call doctor and first aid services, are readily available for reaction. The campus provided excellent sports and game facilities, including field courts.
Faculty: The faculty for our course is highly qualified, experienced, and approachable, always willing to clarify doubts and provide academic guidance. The teaching qualities are excellent with a mix of theoretical and practical learning methods. The curriculum is up-to-date and designed to align with industry standards in ensuring students are well prepared for professional challenges, the semester exams Are moderate challenges requiring a solid understanding of the subject with consistent preparation. Most students perform well, and the past percentage is generally higher, reflecting the effective teaching and support provided by the faculty.
Other: I choose this course for its industry, relevant curriculum, and excellent career prospects. The best accept include practical, learning, and knowledgeable faculty. The more internships, the older it is. Further, campus life is vibrant with diverse events and an inclusive crowd, good connectivity, and ample extracurricular activities.

They should focus on placement for the students.
Placements: The average package offered was 3.5 LPA, with the highest being 4.5 LPA and the lowest being 1.8 LPA. The campus is terrible, and companies are not coming to recruit. Last year, only 10 to 15 students out of a batch of 140 students got placed. The placement management is very poor, and they only focus on academic attendance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is poor, drinking water is not available, the washrooms are of poor quality, and the labs are very poor. In fact, there are no dedicated labs; everything is just adjusted here.
Faculty: The curriculum is useless, and the teaching staff is very poor. The teachers are underpaid, which is why they were hired. However, the teachers need to improve their teaching skills. The same curriculum has been taught for years.
Other: Average campus.

Review of Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies.
Placements: Speaking frankly, the placement situation in engineering colleges is not very satisfying due to layoffs by many companies. However, our college offers better placement and internship opportunities than other colleges in Aurangabad, including government colleges. Our college is actively reaching out to many companies for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro are hiring our students. Some of our seniors have secured internships at IRO. The placement percentage at our college is above 80%. The highest package offered is 22 LPA, while the lowest is around 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities at our college are commendable. We have large labs for each specific department, along with extensive sports grounds and a workshop where students can work on their projects. The college hostels are also well-maintained, accommodating both boys and girls.
Faculty: Overall, the faculty, curriculum, and exams at our college are quite good. The faculty members are very friendly, almost like friends, and they help us in every situation, guiding us in every possible way. Semester exams are not too difficult, but if you don’t study, you may fail. So, overall, the academic experience is better than expected.
Other: As an Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering student, there are many career opportunities in this field. With the rise of AI and other technologies, our field is in high demand. In our college, we organize a project showcase event called "Shodh," and our annual gathering program is known as "Qusars."

A college with decent placements and good hostel facility.
Placements: Around 80% of students receive placements as well as internships. Top recruiting companies for my course are VI, and roles offered by these companies include GET, Intern, and Embedded Software Developer. Overall, companies that come for recruitment for CSE and AIML include Wipro, Accenture, and others.
Infrastructure: Our college includes Wi-Fi, labs, and a library. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, along with a gym, store, and mess facilities. Quality of food is good. Canteen facility is also available, and there is an in-house stationery store for students, which offers all the necessary stationery materials.
Faculty: My college faculty members are helpful and encouraging, providing ways to explore more in different areas. Teachers share the curriculum before semester and provide notes for each chapter to aid in studying. Semester exams are moderate in our college. For both internal and external assessments, students must score at least 40 marks in each subject.
Other: Events and fests take place at regular intervals to encourage students to participate. This helps increase their confidence and allows them to explore different fields.
