Placements: Our placements are still ongoing while I am writing this review. The companies that've come for placements so far include Bosch, Mavericks, Joyride, Tata, etc. All the companies have had pre-placement talks and also given us detailed information on the job description and what their expectations are from us. The maximum package that we've received so far is 10 LPA, with the lowest being 3.8 LPA.
Placements: Christ College provides good opportunities for on-campus placement in the department of design. Many design companies visit colleges for campus hiring. TCS and HCL are the top recruiters at the college. Amazon offers the highest package at INR 26 LPA.
Placements: The MA in Media (MAMCS) offers two specializations—Multimedia Journalism and Advertising and Corporate Communication. As a student of the latter, I have had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, despite the autonomy of the Department of Media Studies, the Central Administration interferes a lot, and as a result, our placements are substandard.
Placements: The course consists of 160 students, out of whom 70% get placed easily. The highest earning package is INR 7 LPA, and the lowest is INR 4 LPA. The top role in the media industry is that of a news anchor or radio jockey. Everyone from this course gets an internship easily with the wide range of skills this course has provided us with. Top recruiting companies are not specific, such as Deccan Herald.
Placements: The top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Accenture, Schbang Bangalore, Thomas Reuters, Tophire, etc. and the placements were mainly for roles such as Digital Marketing, HR, PR, etc. The packages were decent however, the numbers of selected candidates were limited.
Placements: The topmost recruiters are Reuters, and the jobs mostly revolve around Human Resources Manager or business correspondents. Other than that, the average package offered to our seniors was somewhere between 4-8 LPA, so keep that in mind and join; otherwise, you'll be heartbroken.
Placements: This course is a very dynamic course as it is a triple major degree. It is a bachelor of arts in communication and media, English, and Psychology. Almost 80% of students get placed after this course. In the third year, it is mandatory to do an internship and submit a research paper. Top roles offered in this course include media personalities, journalists, content writers, etc.
Placements: 98% of my batchmates got placed. The highest package offered was 9L-13Lpa, the lowest would be 3Lpa and the average being 5-6Lpa. Cisco, IBM, SAP, are the top recruiters. 100% of students got internships across various media domains. Top Roles offered is for Corporate communications.
Placements: About 75% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA and the average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Vedanta and Viacom were the top recruiters for our course. Almost 100% of the students got internships. PR executive was the top role offered here. Viacom also hired students for camera roles.
Placements: Placements in our college this time are better, but more media-centred companies should visit our college for placements. This time better companies visited our college. The process of placements could be better with involving students as well in the placement cell. Maybe students could be given the opportunity to come and invite more companies as it'll give them an exposure to. The salary package offered ranges between 2.5 to 5-6 LPA. Students should build a good resume in order to get good pla...
Placements: Campus placements were started for our course just recently, so most of the visiting companies are start ups from Bangalore. Big players like Zomato and Amazon had also come. Most of the roles were for content writers with an average of 2 Lacs per annum.
Placements: About 60% of students from my batch including all courses, were placed in various companies. The highest package in campus was offered by D. E Shaw, Hyderabad of 16.5 Lacs per annum. The roles included Financial Analyst and work in the field of Research and Operations. On account of internships being included in the curriculum, all students got internships over the summer in various companies and organisations respective to the course.
Placements: The placements usually take place in the month of January. For our seniors, placements went quite well as many of them got placed in good companies. Be it PR, events, newspaper or advertising, most of them got in. I cannot say about the salary, though. When we speak to our seniors, most of them seem very satisfied with their jobs and seem to be enjoying it.
Placements: Most of them were placed with a range of average and good salaries. IBM selected a lot of students but it is not exciting being a technical content writer for a company. People chose it for the pay. Most students are into public relation, corporate communications, event management and client servicing. I doubt anybody has taken up hardcore political or social journalism. Internships are for the students to search for themselves
Placements: The placement opportunities are ample enough and satisfactory. The reputed companies come for placements with a good salary package and get placed. Students get an opportunity for an internship in great companies. Name of the institute adds weight to the profile.
College has experienced faculty members. Infrastructure is very good and greater chances of placement gave me the boost I needed. Rich in its educational heritage, college provided me the background and the support. Faculty members are always up for communication. Administrators always worked for the betterment of the students. Other than academics, discipline has always been integral part of the college. It gave me base to face the corporate challenges.
Faculty needs to be more student friendly and courses need to be flexible. English department is extremely resourceful. Psychology department needs to have more permanent staff with rather than research scholars teaching. CEP students need to be offered media specialization as that is the sole reason of having chosen the course. Students need to be encouraged to do more than just two internships during college period.
Placements: I am in batch 2021-2024. I cannot tell you much about the placements. But I am sure our college is known for its internships and placements and I will get one soon. 25k internships and placements in the beginning. Later according to the work it increases or changes.
Placements: Most of the students get placed in our course. If you do your work well and make the best out of your opportunity there is no need to worry. The best part of studying 3 courses is that I have more options. Students from our course can apply for internships in the fields of media or economics or political science.
