All round development at SIMC.

Placements could have been better in 2015.

Placements: Most of the students from our batch got placed. The top advertising and PR agencies usually visit our college for recruitment. Apart from that, a lot of corporate firms also visit here. I specialised in PR, and during my tenure, companies like Edelman, Weber Shandwick, Perfect Relations and GBM had visited our college for placements. But major corporates which visit here mostly prefer students who have the experience, which is a bit disappointing thing. The placement cell also didn't really perf...

Review of SIMC Pune - Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication.

Placements: I cannot provide the placements information as of now because I am in this college from few days. Due to the pandemic, we are having online classes from home so I cannot interact with the seniors who had their placements this year. As far as I have heard, the roles offered are in the production houses or content creating. Some of them prefer freelancing. Some students work in movies or television. Some make documentaries and others make advertising films.

Placements: Our college is good for students. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Placements depend upon the performance of students not only in academics but also on personal development skills and technical skills like data analytics. All students got an internship for different job roles.

The right mix of academics and co-curricular.

Placements: The placements according to the industry standards are good and the exposure is great. The summer internships also ensure forming the building blocks before entering the industry after the final placements. Majority of placements are in advertising agencies, research agencies and digital agencies. The average and the placements cycle have gotten better over the years.

A great place in terms of faculty members, infrastructure, curriculum and peers.

Placements: Placement opportunities provided for the students of 2018 batch were extremely good and promising. Placements for the students of 2019 batch will be starting soon, and the internships provided for them have been extremely wonderful. Not a bad college but room for improvement.

Placements: About 80% placed. Average salary was 5 Lacs per annum. Students were offered jobs in digital media mostly with few placed in print media. Almost all the students got to do internships in various fields across India. Yes the placement cell is quite useful as students play an active role in it.

If you wish to join SIMC, think again.

Placements: The placement process is fair. Mostly channels, production houses come for placements. The average salary is not too high and you mostly join as a creative trainee. There is placement cell which looks after the affairs of placement procedure. Film production houses do not come placements. There is not guarantee of placements.

A great college to be in. Amazing life on the hills.

Placements: There are a number of good opportunities that are provided by the campus placements. The average package is more than the other colleges. Few companies like Sony, Viacom, etc. come every year for the placement season. There are different roles that are offered to students depending on their interest and work area. More than 90 percent students got places for their internships.

The college campus is on the top of a hill, which has an amazing view. There are more than five colleges and some 1000+ students residing on that luscious green hill. The food quality is good and they serve pure Maharashtrian meals. The breakfast is a must have. The faculty helps you on each step of your course as they are well qualified and make the lecture halls a lot interesting. The best part is the visiting faculty members join the institute mostly during weekends and along with the expe...

Besides that, the faculty is also very good, we have doctorates teaching us with a lot of experience. The faculty is very warm and welcoming and is always ready to solve your doubts. The syllabus also gets completed within the stipulated time, hence not burdening the students at all. The curriculum is well designed, an...
