Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Professional) - Batch of 2021
Offered by Doaba College

I am not satisfied with the practical knowledge provided in BCA and the rest is average.
Placements: In our college, around 2% of students were placed on campus. The highest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Top companies such as Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visited our campus. Top roles offered were graduate trainee and IT support.
Infrastructure: The library, classrooms, and air-conditioning labs were among the basic facilities that were provided. The library was average. Classrooms were very good. In 2018–21, sports activities just began, so it was a good start. The canteen facilities were expanded in 2021, which was good.
Faculty: Teachers were good. The curriculum was relevant, but it didn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams were average. The pass percentage was 80%.
Other: I chose BCA because I was interested in programming and wanted to diversify and expand my knowledge in this area. Practical knowledge needs to be improved. I had seen a drastic change in the crowd. During our batch, there were fewer students, but now during fest and other crowded programs, there was a lot of participation and audience.

Average knowledge, good infrastructure, less placements.
Placements: The placement cell is very weak, and students only get jobs in call centres which is not worthy for graduates. In my knowledge, the salary offered is very low, and one thing is that I never visited the placement cell, so this review is based on my friends' experience.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and we can get all books from library and there is sufficient help for poor students who could not get books. There is large auditorium but there is one problem that if we sit in auditorium during summers we were not able to sit properly due to poor ventilation.
Faculty: Teachers were good, but there is no industry exposure given to the students. There are no new things that we can learn from the course or teachers, which in today's world is of utmost importance. As the course hasn't offered much to the students, they will be highly resistant to take it.

An average college, not very good.
Placements: The placement cell is nice. IBM is the major recruiter. There are no major companies to give placement. Only a few of our seniors got placed through the interview. It is very average compared to other colleges, there are fewer opportunities to get a job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, but not very good. The paid Wi-Fi facility is available in the college. The classrooms are nice, and sports are not in their priority list. The canteen is very poor in quality. The computer labs are good, but we can't use them. They are only used for a lecture. There are no medical facilities available in the campus. The scholarship is not provided for everyone, but only for SC and ST students.
Faculty: The teachers are very good and qualified. There are very few students as compared to other colleges. The course curriculum is useful. The student-faculty ratio is quite poor. The teaching quality is good, but the administration department is very poor. They are hungry for money.

Absolute satisfied with the culture of my college.
Placements: No placements for B.Com students, only for Media and Mass Communication. Companies like zee news, Dainik Bhaskar, etc. used to visit. The placements were average. The college was good in terms of discipline, culture, environment. The placements were not there for commerce graduates but only for Media And Mass Communication.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college was good and it provides us all the necessary equipments required for our studies. Wi-Fi facilities were also provided to us. Labs are also good having all the required equipments and instruments for the experiment. The library is also good with all kinds of books. The college also has a huge indoor badminton court.
Faculty: The faculties are good having great source of knowledge. The teaching Methods are also very good. The attention towards the progress of each and every student is taken into the consideration. The college provides various extracurricular activities during the studies for learning.
