One can see snow covered mountains from the campus.
Placements: I was not from a technical or corporate background, therefore I was not placed anywhere. Students in courses like B.Sc. in Forestry and B.Sc. in Agriculture are perfectly prepared for exams such as the IFoS conducted by the UPSC and many other exams. But placements are always guaranteed if students are talented and fulfil the company's requirements.
Infrastructure: Dolphin College is located in a lush green Sal forest, where the view and weather are amazing. Talking about infrastructure, the hostel is very spacious and has more than three hotels for both boys and girls. Food in the mess is very hygienic, and proper meals are given each day. Games and sports in the colleges, like intercollege or interdepartmental, are played every now and then. Classrooms are well equipped with a projector, thumbprint attendance, and chilled classrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful, even if any students have doubts at midnight. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders, so there is no question as to whether they are knowledgeable or not. After passing, one is always ready for any competitive exams like the UPSC and state PSC. The pass rate is 100 because faculty members are sometimes very strict and students have to attend lectures every day, so the outcome or result is 100%.
Other: Our batch had 98 students. I did my B.Sc. in Forestry, which was a 4-year course. I chose this course because Dehradun is well known for agriculture and forestry. This course actually not only makes us aware of mother nature but also, at the end of every field trip during the submission of our report, we fall in love with what we have around us. Every semester, from the first to the last, we have many field trips where we get to connect with local people, which makes the study trip more interesting. I would only wish to improve that students must be aware of what they are really going to face because each semester has around 8–9 subjects with assignments, practicals, projects, and more. Campus is not that crowded, or rather, I would say sometimes the mess gets crowded during college events. Though I did not receive a scholarship because I did not apply, my friends in the northeast received INR 45,000-65,000 each year. Bo students never really cared about connectivity because buses are available.
