{Source: B.A.M.S. students & alumni}

Is B.A.M.S. at Dr. B.N.M Rural Ayurvedic Medical College worth the investment?

After analyzing the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
* Good teaching quality (some teachers are knowledgeable and experienced)
* Relevant curriculum (covers both Ayurveda and modern concepts)
* Opportunities for internships and job placements (around 50% of students are placed in private hospitals)

Cons:
* Infrastructure issues (old buildings, no Wi-Fi, poor hostel facilities, etc.)
* Limited resources (no proper equipment, libraries, or recreational facilities)
* Strict rules and environment (can be stressful for students)
* Limited opportunities for extra-curricular activities and events
* Some teachers may not be supportive or knowledgeable
* Pass percentage requirements can be challenging (50%)
* Limited availability of patients for clinical practices
* Salaries may vary depending on the organisation (Rs. 15 LPA - 20 LPA)

Based on the feedback, it seems that while the college provides good teaching quality and relevant curriculum, its infrastructure and resource limitations might make it challenging for students to fully utilize their potential. Additionally, the strict rules and limited opportunities for extracurricular activities might affect the overall student experience.

For those interested in pursuing a career in Ayurveda, the college may still be a viable option, especially considering the relatively high placement rates. However, prospective students should carefully consider the pros and cons before making an informed decision.

Recommendation: Consider visiting the college, speaking with current students or alumni, and reviewing the curriculum and facilities before making a final decision.

My typical review of this college.
Placements: There are 60 seats allotted to our college for UG preparation. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 16 LPA. Our students are doing their internships in the same college. They do not do internships at other places. It is compulsory to do internships in the same college.
Infrastructure: Our college has very good facilities and equipment. When students feel bored, they can roam around the garden for relaxation of mind. There is a garden near our college for roaming. The hostel and mess are not good. There is no light for 24X7 in the hostel.
Faculty: There are 2 professors and faculty members for each student. There is 1 HOD for 55 students. All exams are conducted by our college. There are 3 periodic assessments and 2 internal exams. We have prelim exams for final exam preparation. The passing percentage is 50%. Many students clear their exams.
Other: A gym is available on a college campus. It has only a few machines which do not work properly. We have a decent cafeteria and garden. The hostel closes at 10 PM. We can hang out outside. The college campus is in Shivgiri, Gol Gumbaz.

It is not a good college.
Placements: About 50% of students are placed in private hospitals. The hospitals offered a salary package of 3 LPA. Around 100% of students got internships in private or government hospitals. Students mainly work in private hospitals.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are a little bit old because the building is old. Wi-Fi is not available on campus. A library is available, but time is very limited. The hostel building is very old. Water sources for hostel students are not good. There is no drinking water in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are not enough to teach students. They are very strict and less knowledgeable. Exams are tough because the pass percentage is 50%. Because of the teaching, no student is happy at this college.
