Good extracurricular activities have taken place.

Placements: In a year, around 75% of the placement is done. The highest package is 9 lacs, the lowest package is around 3.5 lacs, and average package is around 4 to 4.5 lacs. The top recruiting companies are L&T, ESSAR, AMNS, ADANI, GODREJ, etc. Most of the students get internships at companies like L&T, ESSAR, AMNS, etc.

Infrastructure: In this college, the faculty is well qualified and the classrooms are good. The labs are well set up, and Wi-Fi is available here. The library has around 4,000 books and there is a sports and games tournament in the college once a year. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is quite good.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-educated. All the faculty have doctorate degrees in specific subjects. Technical speaking in the curriculum is somehow related to the industries. This curriculum gives the basic knowledge of how the industries are working.

Other: Once a year, a tech fest occurs, and events like sports and cultural fests take place. The campus crowd is higher, and extracurricular activities include NCC, NSS, expert lectures, etc.

Review of Dr. S & S. S Ghandhy Government Engineering College Surat .

Placements: The placement here is amazing. Many companies like Godrej and Boyce, Adani, Reliance, Essar and many more. Come here. The average package of placement here is 4 to 5 LPA. This year, 85 percent of placement was successfully done. We also have a proper office name, TPO for the placement interview only, which is situated in the campus itself.

Infrastructure: 24/7 Wi-Fi is available we have labs, we have virtual labs, we have workshops and many more. Things which boost the knowledge of a respected course. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls, and they cost around 3000 INR.

Faculty: Professors here are highly qualified; their minimum qualification is Masters and 65 percent of them are Ph.D. The curriculum is also balanced according to both your personal and professional lifestyles. End-of-semester exams are taken by GTU, and mid-semester exams are taken by the college itself.

College is too good in climate for studies. In our college peacocks are also there.

Placements: Top companies are interested in hiring the students from our college and also giving good packages like INR 5 Lacs per year. Companies of our district are mainly attracted to our college since they have a requirement of students in huge numbers. But they don't get it because soo many students want to pursue Masters.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good because it was made in the year 2000 and Diploma college in 1955, so you can imagine how it is. But it so eco friendly and I think has the best climate in our city. For example there are so many peacocks and bird of various species which we can see in our daily life.

Faculty: Faculty is very good of every branch and have a lot of experience and skills and are amazing because they have to pass government exam to qualify for our college. Exams are taken as per the rules of Gujarat technical university and marks are being counted as per students performance.

The college is very good for placements and study.

Placements: 80 to 90% of students get placed from Dr S and SS Gandhi Government Engineering College. My course is mechanical, and in this particular course, 1 Lac is the highest package, 19,000 is the lowest, and 50,000-60,000 is the average package offered. Many students get placements in designing engineering, and some of them get placements in other fields.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is very good. We have Wi-Fi and CCTV enabled classrooms. The classrooms are well designed with good lighting and air. The college has only one library. But hostel instructions are average.

Faculty: All the teachers in mechanical engineering are very good and helpful. All teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. But some teachers of civil engineering are not much good as the mechanical engineering department.

Other: I am in my second year, and none of the students failed the exams in my batch.

Well, this college is recommended by me, good faculty and staff, also helpful in every situation.

Placements: In our institute, the placement is good enough for brighter students and teachers are also helpful in this case. Talking about the percentage of students who got an internship in Mechanical engineering is about 30% of students. In Surat, L&T company, also companies like Reliance are recruiting from our courses.

Infrastructure: Our hostel is good enough for staying. Our classrooms are quite old but it's fair enough because it's a government college. Our infrastructure is also good enough. Because this is a government college we have to SEE about fees also. It's quite less than other private institutes.

Faculty: Our semester exams is of 30 marks. And passing marks is nearly about 12. Semester examinations are quite tough to pass but with regular study, we can easily pass them. Yes, the teachers are very helpful in every situation, and they're also qualified from good colleges.

Other: Mechanical engineering is my favourite branch since childhood. And I also love machines. That's why I chose Mechanical engineering. And for all practical purposes, students who like machines and their mechanisms should take Mechanical engineering.
