Good college but need to improve more for upcoming generation.
Placements: In courses like B.A. or B.Sc., there are no placements for students. It's like a basic degree in college for those who are trying to just pursue a college degree. Classes are there, lectures are there, but there are very few placements, but the environment was the best.
Infrastructure: There was good infrastructure; we had Wi-Fi, big classrooms, a library, and labs, but the hostel facility was not up to par because the basic problem is that the hostel facility is not for everyone, and there was no mess; we had to reside outside in private.
Faculty: The teachers were so helpful and good. There was good teaching quality. Yes, it makes students industry-ready, but not up to par. The exams are on a syllabus basis. Pass percentage is 33/100, and there are exams from time to time, but staff are sometimes aggressive.
Other: I have an interest in economics. The best thing is that teachers are so good. More lectures can improve my course, and the events are so good.

One of the best colleges of Ranchi.
Placements: Around 50% of students at our university were provided with placements. The highest salary package offered was around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, etc. Around 50% of students got placements from our course in Wipro and other different companies.
Infrastructure: There are huge lecture rooms in our department. These lecture rooms have a capacity of 120-130 seating. The college provides Wi-Fi and library facilities to all the students but the speed of Wi-Fi is not too fast. It works like a 3G internet speed. There is also a good hostel infrastructure on campus.
Faculty: Professors in the economics department are highly qualified and good at teaching. The only problem is that they didn't take regular classes but the quality of the lectures is absolutely fantastic. The curriculum of the syllabus is also good. It also includes some practical papers. Semester exams are not too much hard. Question comes from syllabus and teachers also provide important topics which may comes in examination. About 80-85% of students pass every semester. About 15-20% of students are promoted with a backlog.
Other: I have great interest in economics since my school days and also economics gives you vast career options. I like economics for its practical concept. You can learn a lot of things in this course that is related to your day-to-day life like consumer behavior and demand, supply, and many more. There are a lot of fests organised by a student union on campus and also outside the campus. College also organises events like cultural events and all. There are almost 15000 students in college. So the campus area always looks busy. There are many extracurricular activities organised on campus like cricket tournaments, NCC rallies, footfall tournaments, and many other sports tournaments. Overall, it is a good college for students who really want to study with little bit of enjoyment.

It is a good college if you compare it with the fees.
Placements: Placements in our college are not so good in any course. Students have to rely on off-campus placements. BBA students are offered a placement as a salesman in a reliance retail store with a salary of Rs. 10,000 for 10-12 hours. There are no placements in the bachelor's courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average, but it is justified because of the low sanction of money from the government to college for the purpose of infrastructure. Every class has an adequate number of benches with a good number of fans and tube lights. It is an average college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, but they are not permanent. Most of the teachers are working are on a contractual basis. Most of the department teachers change every year because of the low salary offered to them. Overall, they are supportive, and they also answer messages and call after college timings.

The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing B.A. (Hons.) (Economics) degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board of the country. Some universities give preference to the students having economics in class 12 but Ranchi University is not one of them.
