Detailed review of the campus, scholarships, canteen, sports, & admissions at DRBCCC Hindu College.
Placements: Our college placements are average as compared to the other colleges. 10% of the students in the department got placed in the companies with an average package of 100000-300000 yearly. But internships are available in all the departments based on the field of the selected courses. The top companies in IT and security field recruit in roles of security and technologists.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college and the department is well built and with a mix of nature and socio ecological environment. Water, restrooms, practical labs and library are the facilities available in the department. There is no hostel or transport facilities available in the college. Medical canteen arrangements are neat and good. Sports are well appreciated and games are conducted annually.
Faculty: The teachers are mostly young and in trend so that the student teachers bonding is very good. Their teaching quality is very good having interactive sessions of practical learnings and physical training which helps the students to build their career. The curriculum is relevant and good. The semester exams are affiliated with the Madras University. The difficulty level of the exams is medium and the passing percentage is 45%.
Other: I chose this course to become a teacher. The best thing about the course is its well knowledgeable staff and good environment. The colleges cultural restriction rules can be improved. Events are fest are conducted rarely. Scholarships are available for the minorities.

Review of DRBCCC Hindu College.
Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in our college. Around 200 students got placements. Many roles are offered to students.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility in our college. There is more place to construct a hostel, but our college doesn't care about it. Many students are from far places, so they face some issues.
Faculty: All teachers are well-trained and educated. Their salary packages are very low, so the management should take care of it.
Other: The semester fee is around Rs.20,000 - Rs.25,000 per year.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty, average infrastructure but less than nominal fees.
Placements: About 50 percent of the freshers are placed every year. The average salary package offered is 1.5 Lacs per annum. Several companies like Tata steel, TI cycle, Nuray chemical, etc. , have been recruiting B.Com freshers since the past few years. Summer Internships are also provided to several students by the college administration. Further the college Placement cell provides opportunities for students to engage in part time jobs during the course duration so as to improve their financial situations.
Infrastructure: The campus is fairly large but hostel facilities are available. Wi-Fi is not available, further, some of the departments prohibit the students to bring Mobile phones within the campus. More than 100 Computers are available at different labs but more than half of them are not in working conditions. Classrooms are quite below average, digital classrooms are not available. The library is quite vast and has about 6 thousand books in total, The library has a huge collection of books for each subject. , but the library staff are not that friendly. Further daily newspapers are also provided to students for a less than nominal price. The food provided in the canteen is quite hygienic as well as tasty along with a fair price. Also, free lunch is provided everyday for financially backward students. The Medical clinic facilities are average, immediate first aid can be provided at most. The Physical education depth. Is not that active though courts and grounds for Kabaddi, Basketball, Football. , are separately availed.
Faculty: The semester exams are moderate easy as the college is affiliated to the university of Madras. The pass percentage is more than 75%. Though the infrastructure and campus is quite average, most of the teachers cant even teach upto the standards of a school teachers. They lack even the fundamentals knowledge of the subjects they teach, moreover they are focused on rushing through the syllabus to ensure passing scores, and never ever teach in a practically knowledgeable way. The teachers especially for Accounting are usually taught by the students rather than the other way around. Another drawback is that the Department of commerce motivates students to do professional courses like CA CMA CS. , along with their degree programme. Overall the teachers and teaching facilities are very much poor.

Review of DRBCCC Hindu College.
Placements: In our college, almost 50% of students are placed. The average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Tech Mahindra, Magic Bus, etc., visit our campus. Almost all students get internships at TI Metals, Nuray Chemical, TI Cycle, etc. Top roles offered are junior accountant and data backup.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available. Classrooms are average. There are digital classrooms. Many books are available in the library. Hostel facilities are not available. The quality of food in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are provided. There is a huge playground.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Every teacher has a minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. The pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Digital classrooms and workshops should be improved. Extracurricular activities are held. Scholarships are provided. The campus connectivity is good. We have only studied related events. If you want to enjoy yourself, there are many clubs to join at our college. The campus surroundings are good. The campus crowd is not good. There are two shifts, aided and self-financed. The self-financing shift costs around Rs. 47,000 for the complete course, while the aided shift costs around Rs. 4,000 for the entire course. Both shifts follow a strict dress code.

Good college, good infrastructure and good teachers.
Placements: 80% of students get placed in my course. INR 500000 per annum is the average package offered. Foxcon and some other companies are the recruiters. 80% of students got internships at some colleges and schools. Many of the students are getting placements in the interviews, and many top-class companies are hiring the students for their companies.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite nice, but Wi-Fi is not always available. Sometimes they jam all mobile networks, and they do not allow mobile on campus. The college has a very big campus, and the classrooms are a little nice. The hostel foods are not very good in taste, and the quality is a little bit low.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly, and their teaching method is very useful and easily conveyable for students. They are taking care of every single student. The exams are difficult, but 90% of students pass because of the teachers and their teaching methods.

Doesn't have value for degree, below average placements.
Placements: It has a decent track record of placements, although the scope & success of placements can vary by department & course. There were sectoral placements, corporate tie-ups, internships & alumni networks. The average salary for post-graduation was in the range of 3-5 Lacs per annum, depending upon industry & role.
Infrastructure: It has a basic infrastructure & facilities to offer, though it may not be as modern or expensive as some larger universities or institutions are. In infrastructure, the college has classrooms, labs, a library, sports facilities, a cafeteria & common area, wi-fi & other amenities. The hostel facility is also available but is limited in number. There are separate hostels for men & women. Rooms are typically shared & may not provide the luxury of newer hostels. The hostel room has beds, tables & chairs. The food they provide is more than average, although the quality is good.
Faculty: Our college is known for its dedicated faculty, who are experienced in their respective fields. It has a mix of senior professors & younger faculty, who bring fresh perspectives. Whereas our college follows the University of Madras curriculum. The curriculum is designed to meet national educational standards, so yes it does make us industry-ready. I was pursuing B.Com which was among its popular courses. It had six semesters & the pass percentage was 50-60%.
Other: I chose B.Com because I was simultaneously pursuing a professional course i.e. CA as well. So, opting for B.Com which kind had similar subjects & topics would be easy to tackle both & handle them.
