Review of DRBCCC Hindu College.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 2 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.20 LPA. Top recruiting companies visited our college for recruitment. Around 65% of students got internships in our college.
Infrastructure: There were specific laboratories for every department. More than 45 computers were available in this college. Our campus was Wi-Fi enabled. There was a decent library on our campus. The canteen was very good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, kind, highly trained, and knowledgeable. Industrial visits were also conducted by teachers. Semester exams were very easy and we would clear the exams with the help of teachers.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty, average infrastructure but less than nominal fees.
Placements: About 50 percent of the freshers are placed every year. The average salary package offered is 1.5 Lacs per annum. Several companies like Tata steel, TI cycle, Nuray chemical, etc. , have been recruiting B.Com freshers since the past few years. Summer Internships are also provided to several students by the college administration. Further the college Placement cell provides opportunities for students to engage in part time jobs during the course duration so as to improve their financial situations.
Infrastructure: The campus is fairly large but hostel facilities are available. Wi-Fi is not available, further, some of the departments prohibit the students to bring Mobile phones within the campus. More than 100 Computers are available at different labs but more than half of them are not in working conditions. Classrooms are quite below average, digital classrooms are not available. The library is quite vast and has about 6 thousand books in total, The library has a huge collection of books for each subject. , but the library staff are not that friendly. Further daily newspapers are also provided to students for a less than nominal price. The food provided in the canteen is quite hygienic as well as tasty along with a fair price. Also, free lunch is provided everyday for financially backward students. The Medical clinic facilities are average, immediate first aid can be provided at most. The Physical education depth. Is not that active though courts and grounds for Kabaddi, Basketball, Football. , are separately availed.
Faculty: The semester exams are moderate easy as the college is affiliated to the university of Madras. The pass percentage is more than 75%. Though the infrastructure and campus is quite average, most of the teachers cant even teach upto the standards of a school teachers. They lack even the fundamentals knowledge of the subjects they teach, moreover they are focused on rushing through the syllabus to ensure passing scores, and never ever teach in a practically knowledgeable way. The teachers especially for Accounting are usually taught by the students rather than the other way around. Another drawback is that the Department of commerce motivates students to do professional courses like CA CMA CS. , along with their degree programme. Overall the teachers and teaching facilities are very much poor.

Doesn't have value for degree, below average placements.
Placements: It has a decent track record of placements, although the scope & success of placements can vary by department & course. There were sectoral placements, corporate tie-ups, internships & alumni networks. The average salary for post-graduation was in the range of 3-5 Lacs per annum, depending upon industry & role.
Infrastructure: It has a basic infrastructure & facilities to offer, though it may not be as modern or expensive as some larger universities or institutions are. In infrastructure, the college has classrooms, labs, a library, sports facilities, a cafeteria & common area, wi-fi & other amenities. The hostel facility is also available but is limited in number. There are separate hostels for men & women. Rooms are typically shared & may not provide the luxury of newer hostels. The hostel room has beds, tables & chairs. The food they provide is more than average, although the quality is good.
Faculty: Our college is known for its dedicated faculty, who are experienced in their respective fields. It has a mix of senior professors & younger faculty, who bring fresh perspectives. Whereas our college follows the University of Madras curriculum. The curriculum is designed to meet national educational standards, so yes it does make us industry-ready. I was pursuing B.Com which was among its popular courses. It had six semesters & the pass percentage was 50-60%.
Other: I chose B.Com because I was simultaneously pursuing a professional course i.e. CA as well. So, opting for B.Com which kind had similar subjects & topics would be easy to tackle both & handle them.
