I am satisfied as a student because it's a good college.

Placements: There is a separate building on the campus for the placement cell. The college provides placement opportunities, but it's good only for a few students. The academics and other personal traits matter a lot for placements. Internships are also provided.

Great college if you want to enjoy college life. The worst college if you want to get knowledge.

Placements: Placements are quite rare in Fergusson college. The students of the environmental science department mostly get the job of a professor. You have to join other courses if you want to get placed. Please focus on improving yourself than just pursuing a degree. The course doesn't include financial education, so it's better to learn on our own.

I'm satisfied with the placements, but the college should have better facilities and teachers.

Placements: I was satisfied with placements, but the college needs to bring better companies and salary packages. Not only IT jobs, but a variety of jobs should have been offered. Equal opportunity of placements should be given to every student as a lot of students remained unemployed. Placements should be related to the field of students rather than in irrelevant companies.

Review of Fergusson College for the students who want to pursue bachelors in life sciences.

Placements: The placements are few as students prefer to do masters after completing the course. Various pharmaceutical companies visit the campus for the placements of master's courses. Various international schools visit the campus to recruit the students who want to make a career in the teaching field. Placements for electronics and computer disciplines are far better than that of life sciences courses.

Satisfied with the experience.

Placements: A few people were placed but the jobs weren't necessarily related to Psychology. Since it was an Undergraduate course, it was acceptable. Master's is necessary for job placements so it was acceptable for the placements being a little unrelated to Psychology.

A brief introduction- Fergusson College, Pune.

Placements: Around 25 students from Computer Science department got placed in companies like HSBC, Wipro technology, SAP etc. 8nnthe year 2014. Although the number of companies approached was not satisfactory and only one-fourth of the students got placed. MicroBio department has a good placement record. The Science stream is stronger than the arts stream.

One of the best colleges in Pune.

Placements: M.Sc. students get placed in pharma companies like Lupin, Dr. Reddy, Emcure, Cipla. Students also gets placed in Asian paints. Many companies selectively come to place analytical chemistry students. Many teaching institutes also come to place students who are interested in teaching.

With the score of 3.74, Fergusson is worthy of your consideration.

Placements: The placements are average. The average package offered was 2.5 lacs per annum. Mostly, students look for M.Sc., because after B.Sc., the basic package is above 3-4 lacs per annum and it will not exceed. Last year, it was quite good, and only a few applied and got the job. Computer science and biotechnology have good placement options.

Getting admission in such a prestigious college itself gives great career opportunities

Placements: There were very less companies for the placement season of the batch 2016, as less number of people opted to work after graduation itself. There are only final placements and no internships provided by the college. Companies like Accenture came to the campus for recruitment.

Good placements in 2016 and good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements were good. Emcure and Indus came to our department. 11 people got selected for Emcure. This year, Sun Pharma came too. The roles of a quality control officer, teaching, and a junior editorial associate were offered. The highest salary offered was 3.5 lakhs pa.

Good overall learning atmosphere, good crowd and inept placements

Placements: Good companies come but pick only a handful of students. The companies which come to the campus are HSBC,Tech Mahindra and BRISTLCONE. 35% students got placed and the package ranges from 2.5 - 4 lacs. There is no internship from the college, so students have to arrange for themselves. But considering it is an arts and science college, the placements are okay. But if your sole purpose for enrolling is placements, then it is not your cup of tea.

Good faculty, placements, famous and renowned

Placements: The placements for the students are good and the roles are offered to the students for testing, development, etc. Companies like SAP Labs, HSBC, Wipro, etc. come for campus placements. The interview level is easy and moderate. Packages for BSC starts from 2.4L. Exposure to different areas of industries is provided.

Absolutely disappointed with the placements but good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: 2-3 students out of 40 were placed among the seniors. The highest salary offered was Rs. 20000 and the lowest was Rs. 7000. No internship was offered to the students through the college. Students on their own searched for companies. Many students after B. Sc have applied for further education so the placement was very less.

Really satisfied with the college faculty, no placements though in 2014. Very good infrastructure.

Placements: There were no placement opportunities for this course. Though there were a few IT companies who recruit a few people ( like Wipro). There was no dedicated placement committee. Although they do support and give recommendation letter to those who are trying to get a job from the external sources.

A glorious history, with positively changing placement scenario.

Placements: Decent, if compared to other Arts colleges in the country. Owing to its glorious history of over 130 years, Fergusson College manages to bring in some great names in the market to hire its undergraduate students. Companies like Google, Accenture, ZS Associates, Tata Consultancy Services and Exxon Mobil visited our campus when we were in our final year (2016). The profiles were mostly of junior business analysts, HR analysts, customer relationship executives, etc. Accenture, in particular had com...

Fergusson College is a well renowned college. It has good infrastructure and a huge campus. Because of its reputation there are good campus options as well. The faculty is also good. There are regular cultural activities that are conducted throughout the year and thus engages the students in not just studies but also in other extra-curricular activities. It has a huge library with a number of books which will definitely help you.

My college days here have been the "Best Days of My Life". Although it sounds too cheesy and melodramatic but I can assure myself that it’s true. I joined Fergusson College (or as it us famously coined as "FC"), for the Brand value the college has and quality of studies here. The faculty of science is the best here (especially the comp science dept., which is one of the oldest in India and thus the first to have a bachelors in CS).The faculty here known their concepts and have their methods of t...

College is good. But some teachers are less supportive. All facilities are good. Library, practical labs are good. Though college is big and popular, department of BCS is worse and crowd worse than that. Other than that. For good education and placements Fergusson is one of the best.

Good college with a food reputation .

Placements: I haven't experienced he placements of the college because I am still in my second year of the college. But according to the reports I think that the college has a pretty average name in giving placements because it's an art college and not meant for placements .
