Course Curriculum Structuring for MBA/PGDM at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology

The course curriculum at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) for MBA/PGDM has been structured to provide students with a solid foundation in business administration. Here's what we've gathered from the students' and alumni's reviews:

    * Relevant Coursework: The course curriculum is considered relevant to the industry, providing students with a sound understanding of business principles and practices.
    * Lack of Practical Knowledge: However, several students felt that the course lacked practical knowledge, making it essential for students to supplement their theoretical learning with self-study or extracurricular activities.
    * Industry-oriented Teaching: Faculty members focus on providing industry-oriented teachings, preparing students for real-world challenges. They also assign projects and case studies to enhance hands-on experience.

While the course curriculum may require improvement in terms of practical application, GCET seems to be moving in the right direction by incorporating industry-focused teaching methods. Students seeking a balanced blend of theory and practice may benefit from actively pursuing additional resources outside of the classroom.

Review of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed in my college. The salary package offered is 7 LPA. Flipkart and Amazon are the top recruiting companies for my course. About 99% of students got internships from our course in many companies like Reliance Retail.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided by my college, like Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, playground, canteen, and other activities. Infrastructure of the college is also very good. Big playground is available and we also have a library and a large hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful as they always assist students with the course and other activities. Teachers are well-qualified, which allows them to provide the best knowledge related to the course. Semester exams are very tough.
Other: I chose this course because I like to manage the groundwork-related activities, which will help improve my knowledge. My dream is also to manage transportation and supply chain management activities.

Average college according to the studies.
Placements: This course has been newly introduced in the college, so its placements are not so good. Only few companies have arrived for campus placements such as PwC, Amazon, delivery, Flipkart, etc. Only 20% students got internship from the college. The average package is 4.5 LPA and the highest is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with clean and air conditioned classes. The benches are comfortable and spacious, but Wi-Fi connectivity is not provided. The canteens and cafe inside the campus are not good. Plus, food quality is the worst as per the money they charge. You will have to bring your own food from home.
Faculty: The faculty is average as they are new, and not experienced. But they are well qualified and provide guidance. They support students in projects and reports and give good marks in internal examinations. They clear doubts of all the students related to the course.
Other: The course was affordable so I went for it. Fests happen 2 times in a year, but they charge for them. Campus is located at a prime location near a metro station, and nearby an expressway, so the connectivity is excellent.

The placement of the college is pretty good from the other college.
Placements: Placement was good , more than 75% of us got placed with an average package of 3 LPA in companies like TCS, INFOSYS, SATYAM( it was there), HCL etc. Many students got placed in more than 2 companies. Placement record is still good. Attendance of 75 is said to be compulsory, which is the worst thing,
Infrastructure: The hostel fees was quite high hence it forced me to stay in sharing accommodation at Gamma sector. Labs were satisfactory but I was hardly attentive. This proved disastrous during BARC interview when I was not able to answer simple lab related questions. Don't stay behind, learn the skill, basics at least. Faculty was good and experienced. Learning from them depends on the student's urge and dedication.
Faculty: Institute provides you will all basic necessities, you need to be disciplined, focus mainly on learning outcomes and acquiring skills. Most importantly, have faith in your ability to conquer and feel proud of the institution where you spend 4 crucial years of your life. Self belief and persistence will sail you through.

Good college with good faculty members.
Placements: Our course is a new one in the college, so placements are not so good and up to the mark. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, and PwC. About 20% of students have been offered internships in Delivery, Flipkart, and Suntek.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is excellent. Classrooms are well-furnished, clean, and comfortable, with strong and new desks. Libraries are quite good and air-conditioned, with all books available. Sports events are held every year in college, and everyone is given equal opportunity.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but are freshers with a lack of experience. Course curriculum is relevant and provides deep knowledge about supply chain management. Semester exams are easy to moderate difficulty level.
Other: I chose this course because it was less expensive than other courses. The fees are quite affordable. The crowd on campus is good, and activities are held every month.

A good college according to fees.
Placements: Our course is new in Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, so the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Companies like Amazon, PWC, and Flipkart visit the college for placements. Around 20% of students got internships from our course in Delivery and Suntek Logistics.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Our classrooms are neat and well-furnished. The library is good with all books. Our canteens and cafeteria are not good. They charge high prices and the quality and quantity of the food are not up to the mark.
Faculty: Our faculty members are quite good and supportive. They are helpful. They are not experienced. Most teachers are freshers. The difficulty level of semester exams in our college is easy to moderate. Teachers have good knowledge about what they are teaching.
Other: I chose this course because I want to study logistics and supply chain management. This course is only available in Galgotias, so I opted for this college. The crowd on campus is good. Fights among groups happen often.

Go for the CAT exam if you want to do an MBA.
Placements: My course is MBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management. It is a new course in Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, and the placements are average. Till now, only 20 percent of students have been placed, and top companies are PWC, Flipkart, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: Projector is not provided, but classrooms are well-furnished and clean. The desks are also strong and comfortable. The classes are also air-conditioned from this year onwards, but the worst part is broken windows in the classroom, and the podiums are also old.
Faculty: The teachers are just there to complete the syllabus quickly, but they have knowledge about what they are teaching. Also, the maximum faculty provided to us are freshers, not experienced, and they are just completing their syllabus according to AKTU norms.
Other: Fests are held twice every year, in summers and winters, but the fights among groups are common in every fest. Money is charged for the fest, and celebrities come to host it.
