Opinions on Gardgi College by someone who's almost always there. I am satisfied.

Placements: Out of all placements, around 72% of students are from commerce. The highest salary package offered is 5.25 LPA. The average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, etc., are top recruiters. Most finance and management students got internships at the Bank of America. Students need to score at least 7 CGPA to sit in the placement process.

Infrastructure: Buildings are divided according to the department which is an amazing thing. Delhi University has a top-class infrastructure with really amazing Google labs with touch Chromebooks which any student can access. Washrooms are pretty clean. Water is always available and is clean as well. The library offers almost every relevant book. There's no hostel in Gargi College. The food served in the canteen is cheap and not too bad. Drinks in Nescafe are very amazing. Sports are very promoted and events take place almost every second week. It is very fun to be in Gargi.

Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, extremely qualified, and sweet to deal with. Their way of teaching is amazing. Some are strict indeed but some are very sweet. The curriculum is very relevant and does help in industry as well. The difficulty level of exams depends highly on how your preparation. The passing percentage varies from subject to subject. The pass criteria are 7.5 CGPA. It helps students appear for interviews.

Other: If you're preparing for CA, CPA, CMA, etc., then go for B.Com. It will help in more practice and the university exam will be easy for you and you'll score well. The curriculum is amazing but more focus should be on practical learning like Excel, etc. Fests are not very good. No outsiders are allowed. Fests happen in the morning so there's an evening vibe. Financial help is available from the faculty itself. Societies are active. Small competitions keep happening and provide cash prices.

Amazing faculty and great placements with a decent crowd.

Placements: 85% were placed, and many weren't allowed to sit for placement in the 3rd year as they preferred a 4-year graduation. The highest was 23 Lacs, the lowest was 1.5 Lacs, and the average was 4.7 Lacs per annum. Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture, Bank of America, Preferred Square, Ditto Insurance, EY, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Gargi isn't great but is something that is constantly improving. A new building is all set to be inaugurated. More than 5 computer labs are already functional with Wi-Fi facilities. The classrooms of my department are quite spacious, and we have a 2-floor library with a vast diversity in the spectrum of books.

Faculty: Teachers in Gargi are the BEST. They are helpful and quite supportive. They motivate us to work harder. They believe in practical knowledge and research and never urge students to learn but to understand. Yes, the curriculum is up to date with all sec and VAC courses like digital marketing, financial literacy, making students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderately tough, with an 82% pass percentage.

Other: My course is versatile and provides me with different career choices for my future goals like MBA, RBI PO. My course had the best teachers and provided us with great placements. A better campus life, more fests, and a more flexible environment. Post the mob harassment in Gargi, rules have become stricter, so fests and extracurriculars have become more rigid. Societies and clubs of Gargi are one of the best in DU for sure.

The teachers are very helpful and supportive. The exams difficulty is moderate.

Placements: The college placements are very good for my course. The average package is around INR 5 lakh. The college offers good, decent, or average placements. The placement rate is good. A lot of companies come for hiring. Some of them are Deloitte, Wipro, EY, GDS, KPMG India, Evalueserve, and S&P.

Infrastructure: The college has really good infrastructure. However, the office staff can be improved. There is no hostel at the college. The security is average. The food is fine and there are a variety of options for the food. The medical staff could be improved .

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive. The teachers are knowledgeable. The teaching qualities are good too. The exams are moderately average. The passing percentage is 40% in the practical and 40% in the written exam .

Review of Gargi College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Gargi College has an excellent placement cell that helps students with interview preparation skills and CV writing. Salary packages offered may not be as good as the big university or specialised business school. But the level of exposure and experience earned through internships and placement makes it a good option.

Infrastructure: As a student of Gargi College, I feel that the infrastructure is average. The campus is green and spacious but lacks sum of the modern facilities. For instance, there is hardly any Wi-Fi provided for students, which is a big problem especially when carrying out research work and during online classes in the lecture halls. Even the libraries are average. Some parts of the college need renovation.

Faculty: It has got great faculty members, especially for the B.Com program. All the professors are well qualified. They teach in a very systematic way such that even the most difficult topic can be understood by students. Regarding the exam curriculum, it is quite comprehensive, exams can be challenging requiring deep understanding rather than memorising.

Other: The campus crowd is quite diverse and vibrant because students come from different parts of the country. You will find people with various interests that make the atmosphere dynamic. Reverie is one of the highlights of the year it is a three-day cultural extravaganza filled with music, dance, and fashion show.

Glimpses of Gargi, A College of your Dreams

Placements: There are various highly reputed companies that come to our college for placement every year. A lot of students from last year's batch were even placed at Deloitte, which is a really big company. As a fresher, if you're getting a role in that company, you're on the right path.

Infrastructure: The college campus is really big. It's a red-brick building with beautiful greenery all across the campus. There is a really big ground along with various small quads, a canteen, and a Nescafé for the food requirements of students. There is an auditorium, a library, a medical room, and various washrooms. There is no hostel on our campus.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They complete the syllabus as well as conduct regular assessments to prepare the students for the end-sem exams. The curriculum of our course is very thorough and practical. It will definitely help students in their corporate careers in the future. Semester exams are difficult but not too hard. Very few students fail their exams, which is due to their own mistakes.

Other: This is a course that most commerce students opt for in the college. Personally, I want to build my career in the corporate world, so it's really helpful for me. The students are very friendly, and there are a lot of societies in our college. It helps you connect with both students and faculty. We also have our annual fest, Reverie, each year, which is the highlight.

Placement can be better. Teachers are kind but strict.

Placements: The placement opportunities at Gargi College are decent but could be better. Some students do get placed in well-known companies, but the number of high-paying jobs is limited. The college invites various companies for placements, but not all students find jobs through campus recruitment. For better results, students often need to put in extra effort, such as internships or skill development, to improve their chances of landing a good job.

Infrastructure: Gargi College has some cramped classrooms, well-equipped labs, and an outdated library with mostly old books. The canteen offers limited and average food options, and there is no Wi-Fi on campus. I don't have much information about the medical facilities at Gargi College because I haven't noticed or seen any specific medical services on campus. It's unclear if there is a dedicated medical room or staff available for students. If there are facilities, they might not be very visible or well-known among students.

Faculty: The faculty at Gargi College is a mix. Some teachers are kind and helpful, making learning easy and fun. However, others are very strict and don’t interact with students in a pleasant manner. Still, there are a few who are both strict and friendly, making the experience better.

Yes, Gargi College offers good placemems to for courses like BA, BCom and MA, etc. The Gargi College average package offered during the 2024 placement drive stood at INR 5.25 LPA. Earlier, the Gargi College average package offered during the 2023 placement drive was INR 5.35 LPA.
